It was an interesting adventure, took the whole day to go to Sigiriya and Dambulla, but it was worth it. Chaminda was very helpful and knowledgeable about the tour. Of course it’s a long day on a motorcycle but it was definitely an adventure.Great adventure

Being Accompanied by Roshan during my excursions around Kandy was such a nice experience for me ! He is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and has a very pleasant personality. He is also environmentally conscious, a diligent driver and someone whom you can totally rely on for almost everything during your travels. The home cooked food made by his wife was also very wholesome and eating it by a lovely waterfall is an experience to cherish. Chaminda is a really lovely guy, nothing was too much trouble, and he was keen to make sure we had a good time. The lunch cooked by his wife was Delicious and we ate it at a waterfall in the mountains with nobody there but us. Awesome! This is a full day tour and you will be shaken about in a tuk tuk for many hours, but we didn't mind it, in fact the breeze was better than air conditioning in a taxi and we certainly got to see things close up. Chaminda took us to places tourists don't normally go, in fact we only saw one other tourist all day and she was only there because her driver was lost! We went on a Sunday which might be a good idea as the traffic was a lot less than it would be during the week, and everyone was in their Sunday best looking very glamorous. We got to see four waterfalls but the star was really the countryside and the local people, mostly people who work at the tea plantations in the mountains. It was interesting to see how they live. We also went to see people working the rice paddies and that was fascinating too. It was a hot day but we got to swim in a waterfall pool which was lovely. Safety: I think it is only fair to mention that getting to the waterfalls involved some pretty dangerous clambering over rocks and climbing steep hills etc. We are 58, and overweight, but we work out so are fitter than some people our age, and we struggled a bit at times. My wife twisted her ankle slipping on a rock and there are places where you could get badly hurt if you fell. It did add some adventure to the day, but if you are unsteady on your feet you might not see as many waterfalls as you would like. To be honest, in the dry season they are not so spectacular anyway, but it's worth taking the tour for the countryside. Fantastic tour of the countryside.

We had an amazing day on the tuk tuk waterfall tour . Chaminda showed us so much ! We saw a lot of spices and fruits and tea and coffee plants, the most amazing villages and incredible scenery. He bought us drinks and a snack and the most wonderful picnic lunch that his wife had prepared. We saw 4 beautiful waterfalls and even swam in the last one. An amazing day with a lovely friendly guide. Don’t miss this experience it is wonderful! An amazing day

Roshan took us on an incredible trip to three waterfalls in the Knuckles Range outside of Kandy. It was brilliant from start to finish he is an excellent guide and points out all things on interest. The waterfalls & the scenery from the Tuk Tuk were incredible and swimming in the final one capped on an excellent day. Amazing lunch cooked by Roshans wife included and eaten by the river. Couldn’t recommend this trip highly enough it’s awesome. Roshan goes above and well beyond to make this incredible. This is simply a must do. A must do!

Hi I would sincerely like to thank Chaminda for an absolutely amazing day visiting the natural area of Kandy Chaminda himself was the perfect guide , giving amazing insight into to the history and culture of Sri Lanka He was aware of our needs, aware of our capabilities , taking us to wonderful areas of natural beauty- visiting his family village,taking tea at tea plantation,swimming in a remote lagoon, seeing spectacular waterfalls, having an amazing lunch prepared personally by his wife - this was made even more rememberal because as we sat to eat at the base of the waterfall just as a monsoon shower decided to unleash!!! and a colony of monkeys intrigued at our presence Many thanks Chaminda an amazing day Ann and JohnMagic day

The day we spend with Roshan was breathtaking! We spend our day with him and his tuktuk in the knuckels range, the most beautiful viewpoints ever. Sometimes we stopt to hike to amazing waterfalls where Roshan talked about the plants and its function: limon grass, peper, coffee, tea. No tourist, only local people what made it so special. He let us show the beauty of Sri Lanka in Kandy what nobody sees. We had an amazing swim, a lovely diner made by his wife and a amazing time. We were back so much later than expected, he didn't look at the time what was even more amazing. We will never forget this trip and our lovely host Roshan. You have to do this!!!! An amazing day

Thank you Roshan for showing us the beautiful country side of Kandy. If you are looking for a true local who knows the area and want to see endless views then Roshan is the man to do it. We did a full day trip with Roshan seeing beautiful waterfalls, going through local villages, meeting beautiful people along the way all with spectacular views of the Knuckle Rangers. Roshan provided us with local knowledge of the area and took us to places off the beaten track. The final waterfall and swimming spot was a highlight and Roshan provided us with the best homemade lunch in Sri Lanka. We would highly recommend Roshan and his tours!! Thank you Roshan

We waited to review the trip with Roshan until we got back to Australia to be sure we could do it justice. Because it really was that amazing. An entire day of waterfalls hidden away in secluded villages, with not a tourist in sight. The swimming hole at the end of the trip was a perfect way to finish it off and cool down after a morning of hiking to each fall, with crystal clear water and a lunch which was the best meal we ate on a 22 day 2 country trip. Roshan was a fantastic driver and guide, and he had a great eye for spotting plants as well- we found all the ingredients for a curry, nutmeg, pepper, lemongrass, cinnamon, and dessert too, with local oranges, tea and cocoa! The walk through the rice paddies of Roshan's village was beautiful, and by the end of the day, we were wishing we had chosen the longer trip which involved a homestay. If we ever make it back to Sri Lanka we will be booking again, as this was the highlight of our trip and I cannot recommend it highly enough. A word of warning though, wear long pants, bug repellent and sturdy shoes- getting to the falls involves some rough tracks, and one of those had a thriving community of leeches. Don't let this put you off at all though, the waterfall at the end of the path is without a doubt worth it, as is the swim, lunch, and all the sights along the way. Thanks again Roshan for an absolutely wonderful time. Amazing, wish we could do it again!

What an amazing day. Roshan was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, he couldn't do more for us. Parts of the waterfalls were a little difficult to reach but Roshan made sure we all were able to get there and helped us. We had so much fun and it was definitely an experience we will never forget. Weterfalls were beautiful and we really enjoyed swimming and sunbathing there. Roshan taught us a lot of interesting things about plants, tea and coffee plants. We also tried a palm tree drink! We were a group of four ladies (2 moms and 2 daughters) and thoroughly enjoyed the day with Roshan. He arranged 2 tuk-tuks for our group and took us to 4 waterfalls that are off the beaten track. The views were simply spectacular. He even treated us with a very tasty home made Sri Lankan lunch, prepared by his lovely wife. Who else can say they ate lunch wrapped in a banana leave on a rock in the middle of a river - what an awesome experience! Thanks Roshan!!Fun Experience!

This was by far one of my best days in Sri Lanka. We found ourselves in Kandy and not really loving the city so started googling waterfalls near by and found Roshan. I could not recommend this more! a bit of a drive out but so worth it. We were taken to 3 isolated waterfalls surrounded by tea plantations and in the hills. So beautiful!! we swam in all 3 waterfalls. Roshan brought us Lunch made by his wife which was the best meal we had in Sri Lanka. I seriously recommend this day if you're in Kandy for a few days!!! you won't regret. Amazing day!!!!

Where to start! This was the highlight of our time in Sri Lanka. Not for the faint hearted but for anyone looking for an adventure and getting off the tourist trail to experience Sri Lanka in its untouched glory. Roshan collected us on time from our hotel in kandy in his tuk tuk and we spent the day exploring the knuckles range waterfalls. Some were more of a hike to get to than others but all well worth visiting and not another tourist in site. The weather was touch and go as we were there in monsoon season but Roshan gave us a fully immersive experience and was flexible with timings, taking us to the beautiful natural pool when the sun was out. The drives were truly spectacular with an abundance of tea plantations and rice paddies dotted as far as the eye can see. Roshan is the best guide you can ask for. He is full of knowledge and very kind and genuine. We were unsure what to expect from the home stay but were blown away. The house is newly built and beautiful. We were greeted by not only his family but everyone from the local community in his village. They all seemed so happy to have us there. In the early evening we were for a walk with his young children through the rice paddies and to the village temple and a local blacksmith. This was incredible. For dinner his wife cooked us a feast of traditional Sri Lankan dishes, it was the best food we tasted on our trip. All parts of this experience are up to you. Roshan is very flexible. We really can't recommend it enough, if you are in Sri Lanka this is an unmissable trip!Tour by a Motorbike for solo Traveler

Waterfall hunting with Roshan was an amazing experience!! First of all I must say that he is very punctual as he arrived to the place where we agreed, without any delay. Roshan was very friendly to me even though we have not met before. He has an excellent and solid knowledge of Sri Lankan waterfalls and numerous hiking trails. First we went to explore the 'Huluganga Waterfall' which is located in the Huluganga Town. The height of the waterfall is approximately 75m and it truly offers a magnificent view of rushing water. Then we went to explore the 'Lebanon Estate Waterfall', and its average height is 30m according to Roshan and its view was breathtaking. Visiting the “JoduElla Waterfall' was our next step and it is situated 1km off the Bamberella Junction (Kandy District) and the height is approximately 45M. After exploring these three waterfalls, Roshan and I had a bath in a place called Baddegama and it was extremely amazing we were able to embrace the freshness of the nature. Then I got the chance to taste homemade lump rice (rice wrapped with a banana leaf) which was brought by Roshan and it was truly delicious. Roshan is a great cook too! Roshan has a lot of experiences in adventure tours and he was humble enough to share those experiences with me after the lunch. He has explored all the waterfalls in Sri Lanka except “Banbarakanda Waterfall” and I was surprised of his tours. I really appreciate his warm hospitality and hope he will do the same to the foreigners. Then it was time for me to say good bye to him and I was really happy about the day’s activities and enjoyed to the fullest :)Tour by a Motorbike for solo Traveler
