1. Meeting point

   Meet at approximately Piazza San Nazaro in Brolo, Milano to start your culinary journey.

2. Example menu

   This is what our dinner could look like, but it’s not set in stone! Once you book, you can chat directly with your host to make small tweaks to suit your preferences.

3. First course

   You can decide if you want to serve appetizer such as: bruschette, pappa al pomodoro (traditional from Florence), torta salata (savory cake with veggies or meat). Or if you prefer a "primo": Pasta (pomodoro, carbonara, amatriciana, pesto) or risotto (milanese, parmigiana) etc.

4. Second course

   Depending on the first course you can decide to learn how to cook: scaloppine (thin meat cooked with wine), pesce alla livornese (tomato olives and capers) tuna loaf coated with zucchini. Or: melanzane alla parmigiana (vegetarian), vegetable loaf, chicken with mushroom sauce etc. Or cous cous with pesto and swordfish

5. Third course

   Now, here is the hard choice: Tiramisu, chocolate-mousse or Italian chocolate-nuts cake? Or maybe a family recipe of the torta di pane (bread cake)

Such a fun experience learning from Francesca and Alessandra! Francesca welcomed us into her home and the entire evening from start to finish was wonderful. My fiancé and I made pasta from scratch (very cool), scallopini and the best tiramisu! They shared stories and gave us some tips and tricks and we enjoyed the fruits of our labor with some delicious wine! I’m excited to attempt to make this again back at home although I know it won’t be the same. Definitely recommend this experience. It is one we won’t forget. Grazie! Spectacular cooking experience!

My friends and I were honored to join Francesca and her sister in creating a lovely dinner at their home. As soon as we met them, we were instantly drawn in by their warm welcome and adorable home. My friends and I were looking for something to make us feel apart of the Italian culture and this dinner was the perfect fit. My husband and I took my parents to Italy for their first Europe trip, and they said this was one of their highlights! Francesca and her sister were so lovely and welcoming, and we had so much fun talking with them. We learned to make fresh pasta, and my family really enjoyed getting to use the "guitar" tool! We ended the evening with a delicious flourless chocolate cake. The meal was so yummy and we all learned a lot. And what a great moment we shared with Francesca and her sister Alessandra ! Their place is very nice and we felt very welcomed. We really had a great time, cooking, laughing, joking and eating. I recently had the pleasure of attending a cooking class hosted by Francesca in Milan, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment my friend and I stepped into her home, we were welcomed with open arms, creating an atmosphere that felt both inviting and safe. Despite being in a new environment, her warmth and friendliness immediately put us at ease. It's not every day you enter a stranger's home and feel as comfortable as you would in your own kitchen, but Francesca made that happen effortlessly. She allowed us to choose the dishes we wanted to prepare, tailoring the experience to our preferences (tagliatele with fresh pesto, eggplant parmegiano and tiramisu). Francesca and Alessandra were the BEST. I went with my group of 5 to take a cooking lesson and the two of them were not only incredible teachers with generations of culinary wisdom, but some of the most genuine people we’ve met. Before the booking, it was really easy to talk to her about our desired menu incl allergies/alternatives and she always responded very quickly. Francesca is such a sweet and caring person - when entering her beautiful home, you immediately felt like visiting a friend instead of „a cooking class with a stranger“. Everything was ready and set up and we were able to start cooking (with a glass of wine :)) right away. She explained everything nicley and responded to our questions very patiently. We did a cooking class with Francesca and her sister. They allowed me to drink wine and watch and my husband to cook. First was tiramisu. They made this cream stuff with mascarpone cheese that I could have just mainlined. From there was pasta with hand-made pasta. We concluded with chicken scallopini with vegetables. One of the best experiences I had while traveling abroad, and one of the best activity I had with my family. This was one of the highlights of our family trip to Italy. Francesca and Alexandra were everything we expected and much more (if I could give more than 10 - I would...) They were professional, friendly, warm, empathic. Francesca is an experienced and gracious host! Her apartment is absolutely lovely and she is very warm and welcoming! We loved learning her family’s recipe for tiramisu, which we all loved tho my hubby usually doesn’t like this dessert. ☺️ The saffron risotto was delicious and we also enjoyed the chicken scaloppine with veggies! Her neighborhood is within walking distance of Milan’s Duomo, (whose tower you can see from her home), and walking there to catch the Metro after dinner gave us an incredible look at that massive cathedral lit up at night. It was a wonderful evening and we recommend it highly! 👏👏👏Great, authentic Milano evening!

Escogimos esta experiencia culinaria para aprender platos típicos Milanese. Sin duda experiencia recomendable 100%. Francesca nos acogió súper bien, nos enseño a hacer pasta fresca amatriciana, berenjenas al parmesano y tiramisú. Tenía todo preparado, y nos fue diciendo paso a paso lo que teníamos que hacer para realizar estos platos exquisitos. Acompañado de un vino tinto, buenísima elección. Tenía una casa súper agradable, a menos de 10min del Duomo, y desde la ventana de la cocina se veía la catedral. My husband and I spent a wonderful time with Francesca last Saturday. We were very lucky to meet her and to learn some of her cooking secrets. The food was delicious and her place was very welcoming and confortable. We contacted her the day before and she did her best to make this moment happen despite covid and sanitary precautions. We could even choose and personalize the menu. We came with our 5-month baby boy and it was not a problem at all for her. She even offered us to let him sleep in another room while we were eating. My boyfriend and I had an amazing time with Francesca and her cute dog Thea <3 Her house is stunning and she made us feel very comfortable while teaching us how to make fresh pasta, saltimboca and tiramisu. She is very communicative and it is impossible not to laugh with her. I do not have a single negative commentary to write about that class. Funny that while I was reading her reviews I was thinking "it can't be that good" haha. My husband Chris and I booked a cooking class with Francesca several months ago. When we arrived for the evening, Francesca and her sister were so warm and inviting. I only realized how wonderful they had been as they had worked directly with my husband (unbeknownst to me) to add to the group my adult children to the cooking class. You see, our trip to Italy was planned for just the two of us but my husband arranged to have my adult children join us part way through. Francesca was in on this little secret so she prepared for our group of six when I thought it was going to be just two of us. Everyone had a blast and pitched in to make the dinner of Pasta Carbonara, Chicken Scallopini and dessert of Caprese Bianca al Limoncello. We are looking forward to recreating these dishes at home. After dinner, Francesca even shared several spots nearby to go for dinner, drinks or apertivo (of which we tried several during our stay in Milan). We cannot express how grateful we were to have made such a wonderful memory with family!! There is always a little trepidation when you are trying a new experience and part of that new experience is to walk to someone’s home and spend some time with them. My wife and I can honestly say that there is no need for that feeling when meeting Francesca. She was very welcoming, personable, and an overall phenomenal host and teacher. We decided to learn how to make some classic Italian dishes versus having her cook for a dinner party. My wife and I consider ourselves “foodies” and we enjoy the experience of learning how to make something that you can then take home and share with others. We chose a menu which seemed to be popular among previous guests, ravioli followed by chicken saltimbocca and tiramisu. Francesca was very welcoming - he apartment is lovely and her air conditioning was very welcome as it was so hot for the few days we were in Milan. She'd prepared most of the ingredients and we set about making the pasta straight away. Although this was the first time we'd made pasta this was a great success and the final result was excellent. We had an interesting chat with Francesca throughout the evening and it would have been good to have done this at the start of our trip rather than the end so as to be able to take advantage of some of her recommendations.
