It was quite challenging to coordinate this experience unfortunately and then the tour itself was not as I expected. It was a shame as we had booked this for a hen do and in the end it turned out to be stressful. Would recommend looking into what you get with the tour before booking so both sides are aligned! Not as expected sadly!

The tour with Rita was excellent! Rita is easy to talk to and very down to earth. She knew I enjoyed taking pictures so we stopped at a beautiful beach where I captured some great pics of the water and coastline. We even put our feet in the cold water! Next we drove to the José Maria Da Fonseca winery. It’s a very old winery that’s been in the same family for generations. It’s an interesting tour where you learn about the history of the winery, the different wines, and see the old buildings where the wine barrels are stored. The tour ends with a tasting of two different types of wine. Even though there is a tour guide from the winery leading a group tour, Rita gave me a one-on-one tour as she knew the tour as well as the tour guide! After the tour, we walked across the street to a family run cafe where we sat outside and enjoyed a delicious dessert native to that area. On the drive back we stopped at the “Christ the King” statue. The views of the city and river from there are some of the best! Needless to say, I took some great pics! I really enjoyed the afternoon tour with Rita. Not only was she enjoyable to be around, she provided lots of history and information about the area to include the beaches, the winery, the towns we drove through. She also provided recommendations for restaurants and bars that I should visit while in Portugal. Highly recommend this tour with Rita!Afternoon Delight!

I felt like I was on a tour with an old friend. We stopped by the original pastel de nata bakery- that was the best of all the pastries I had during my trip. Our guide to Fatima and Nazare was Rita. She was kind, patient and knowledgeable. I wish we could have had another tour with her. Her knowledge and insight into Fatima was appreciated. As Catholics we appreciated saying the rosary at the little church. She understood our reverence for the site, and gave us opportunity to pray. She also provided insight into the churches and the Portuguesse feast days. We had a good meal at a local restaurant and she guided us to the best selection. Finally she was aware of our interest in Nazare. The waves were not rolling, but she shared her experience seeing the big waves. I would recommend Rita and a guide. An absolute win starting off our holiday in Portugal with "withlocals". The experience provided a base for further "withlocal" tours we did in other cities. It gave us an opportunity to figure out some city secrets, best of places and other trips to add to our itinerary. However, we found an absolute gem in Rita. We had a terrific time exploring Lisbon with Rita! She was full of interesting tidbits of information and gave us lots of tips and tricks to make out time in the city easier! We did this tour our 1st full day, and not only did it help us orient, but she also showed us elevators and tunnels and ways to avoid climbing all the big hills that we used the rest of the trip. She also suggested several excellent restaurants that we ate at later and enjoyed. The burnt church was one of the most interesting things, and hearing the history of the revolution and the big earthquake were also fascinating. We enjoyed sharing little cups of Ginjinha too! We had a wonderful day visiting Sintra with Rita! She is very knowledgeable about this area and knew not only the history and details of the castles but also helpful things like when to arrive and the best path to walk to avoid the crowds. Rita was one of the best tour guides we have ever had. Not only is she extremely knowledgable about her hometown of Lisbon, but she is such a fun and enjoyable person to hang out with! Her personal connection to the city was fascinating along with her knowledge of Portuguese history. She shared stories from her grandmother, parents and her childhood which helped us connect to what we were seeing. We had spend some time in Lisbon before but she took us to areas we had never seen and provided excellent food recommendations. Rita took us to Sintra and Cabo da Roca. She was great company for the trip, full of information but also friendly and good to chat to. Visiting the Moorish Castle and Quinta da Regaleira with her showed us the sights in a special way and I’m sure we saw them differently than if we’d made our own way. We particularly appreciated the coffee and amazing travesseiros that kept us going, plus the lunch choice in Azenhas do Mar. Stopping at the edge of the ocean at Cabo da Roca was stunning. We’d highly recommend a trip with Rita. A great day out

Days before sended messages, no answer from the tour guide. We called Withlocals… they tried there best to solved this big issue. Withlocals is very correct for solving this issue. Tour guide sended someone else (great men), but didn’t told Withlocals, also didn’t informed the customer. That is not the way to treat people. Shame on you!No reaction, no notification
