A wonderful day spent meandering through the small and charming streets of Kudochin, visiting several beautiful temples, a lovely shrine and ending at the amazing flower market. We traveled by boat, tuk tuk, on foot... It is difficult to say what we liked best, but Piyaporn's pleasant and easy-going company was definitely part of this enjoyable experience. An interesting and varied tour, full of insights into history, religion and culture - and yes, food was part of it, too! Would very happily go on another tour with Piyaporn!A bit of everything!

Piyaporn's knowledge of Bangkok's neighborhoods is impressive, and she is a delight to be with. On this tour, we were joined by our daughter-in-law's mother who lives in Bangkok. She was equally impressed by Piyaporn's knowledge and willingness to wander the small streets of the Kudeejeen neighborhood with its fascinating mix of Buddhist, Christian (originally Portuguese) and Muslim communities. Piyaporn combines her extensive knowledge of the neighborhood's unusual history with numerous stops on its quiet streets to enjoy its rich culture and architecture. We then crossed the river to vibrant Chinatown which Piyaporn knows equally well as she shops there. We made numerous food stops and ate lunch in the market. As before, we were impressed by her flexibility along the way. Our daughter-in-law's mother who grew up Chinatown loved the tour and is highly recommending Piyaporn to her friends here in Bangkok for a local tour for locals! Can't get much better than that. It was lovely walking around Bangkok with Piyaporn on Tuesday and really enjoyed all the various places; most of which I hadn't been to before. Great to be away from the tourist areas and learn more of the history. This tour by Piyaporn was a perfect counterpart to the more busy/crowdy grand palace visit - you learn a lot even though we couldn’t really appreciate most of it cause of our lack of historical knowledge of the area. This tour was excellent. A good mixture of travel including walking,tuck tuck and river boats. Took us to Wat Arun first so avoided the crowds then onto some hidden little gem temples in the true local riverside areas of Bangkok .Piyaporn was a wonderful host and posses a wealth of local and historical knowledge. Priyaporn is a lovely host and takes you on a great tour of Bangkok’s riverside. From back alleys and old Christian communities to Chinese temples you get to see a great variety of the, otherwise, unseen Bangkok and from the viewpoint of a local and that’s what it’s all about. We had an excellent time and by happenstance came across an event at one of the temples with a band and singer and several hundred dancing students it was quite crazy, amazing, very special and something we’ll never forget. Pyiaporn was our guide for a full day in Bangkok.She met us at our hotel at 9am and stayed with us untill 5pm. We where only supposed to have 5hours so she went above and beyond our expectations. We traveled on the sky train and the local ferry a tuk tuk a bus and the metro which was all amazing. We visited some temples had lunch in a local street restaurant walked around an old neibourhood and visited the flower Market. Her English was excellent and we both had a really great day. She was very considerate and even though one of the temples outlined in the city temple tour was not accessible due to the ceremony, she changed it over to another one so we still had a full schedule ahead of us. The walking tour of Bangkok with Piyaporn was amazing. Piyaporn is super nice and walking around with her felt like visiting with a friend rather than a tour guide. She is also very knowledgable and could answer all my questions, both history/facts related and about life as a local in Bangkok. We went to some beautiful places that I would never have discovered on my own. I had a wonderful time on my tour, the sites were not the huge tourist attractions but the more intimate places that make you feel like a real insider. It was great speaking to someone fluent in English and I loved hearing explanations as we went along and highly highly recommend this tour! After getting severely attacked by bedbugs. having my wallet stolen, bouts of diarrhea and being sooooo over Bangkok, we booked a tour with Piyaporn. And - it totally changed our perception of the city. She took us to places that were not touristy (in fact at one gorgeous old temple we were the only people there at the time), we saw thriving communities and finally found food that was affordable, clean and delicious. Just what we were looking for when we came to Bangkok in the first place. We wanted to book another tour immediately, but Piya was busy :-( Thanks Piya so much for showing us the city through your eyes. Glad we took you dear Piyaporn! started the day early by her recommendation, but then needed a good coffee, and thankfully, the sweet driver and her stopped at our favorite spot and waited even though traffic is a challenge! appreciate it! Piyaporn has great knowledge, and we received all info by her, then my mom wanted to put on costumes and take pictures, and at the end og the trip, my parents were very tired (arrived in Thailand the day before) and we wanted to shorten the trip. Everything was accepted with a big smile, she took some amazing photos for us and I'm very happy we got to see Ayyutthaya and learn a lot about the area and history. Thank you! :) Thank you!

Piya was a delight to walk Bangkok with. She planned a tour that touched on many facets of the city while staying comfortable in high temperatures. She was informative, kind, fun to be with, and really went out of her way to show us the area, the foods in the market and to ensure that we had an incredible tour. I would highly recommend her and this tour to anyone. I appreciated that it included the motorized boat tour at the end when we went through the neighborhood on the water by the temple. This was a really great experience, especially since my 4 teenagers can sometimes lose interest fast. Not this time! The day had just enough enough switching of activities to keep everyone happy as we didn't stay in any one place (or boat) too long. The van they picked us up in couldn't have been nicer - I mean it was first class! At the floating market, the canal boat ride we took before we switched to a paddle boat for the floating market was really nice - we enjoyed seeing the different 'neighborhoods' and we saw several huge monitor lizards. I do feel like going with With Locals made the experience better than most of those I have done with Get Your Guide or Viator. It was the little things like Piyaporn taking the initiative to grab things for us at the floating market (that she paid for) like bananas fried in coconut milk, coconut ice cream, mango sticky rice, etc. She would just grab something and say "Try this!". Or the cold wet towels when we got back in the van at the end of the day to head home. And the super nice driver we had. And I'm not sure if it happens on every booking, but we also got to make a quick stop (on the canal tour) at a property with some amazing old Chinese boats and some of the most beautiful large Thai carvings I have seen since arriving. I wasn't sure if driving an hour and half from Bangkok would be worth it but it totally was. I've never seen anything like the floating market and when you couple that with canal tour, the railway market and coconut farm - it was a total yes for us. And I would absolutely book with With Locals again. My family of 6 was well taken care of

We had a wonderful food tour with Piyaporn! We tasted several different street foods, a few dishes at a restaurant, and many tastings at the local market. The food was phenomenal and we tried a diversity of dishes. She explained how the food was made, the cultural/regional significance, and the history of Thailand. We never felt rushed and she made it easy for us because she took care of everything (ordering food, paying for it, ordering a tuk tuk ride to the market). The day after the tour, Piyaporn sent us recommendations for local restaurants near our hotel and near the sites we saw that day. As expected, they were delicious!
