We choose the dragon-tour as we have a 5YO and Philippe made the tour exciting for him and us at the same time. When the 5YO got too tired/hungry/warm to continue, Philippe quickly changed focus and made sure that the remaining part of the tour was interesting for an adult and a 16YO. We had an unforgettable experience on the guided tour in the Gothic part of Barcelona with our amazing guide Philippe. His knowledge, story telling and adaptability made the tour engaging and fascinating for both our 11 and 13-year-old boys. Philippe was absolutely awesome during the Dragon Tour. After having a not so good tour with somebody else a day before we were skeptical if this would be what we expected or if we could really trust the reviews here. But the tour was really cool! Even though it was very hot he managed to keep my 6 year old engaged, my son and I were both so so happy about the tour. He concentrated on my kid but also offered information for me. Philippe even waited with us at the end until we got picked up for our next experience. We saw things we would have missed by ourselves and heard really good stories. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he is doing. I would have loved to see him dance flamenco, but maybe next time we are in Barcelona. We warmly recommend Philippe as a guide! You won't regret it! Oh and we had the best churros ever, I am still dreaming about them and I had churros in several countries before, but nothing compares to this. Our kids were a challenge on the last day of a long trip, but Philippe was so patient and found ways to engage them. We learned so much and saw wonderful hidden gems of Barcelona and had ample time to ask questions we were interested in. Philippe est d'une courtoisie extrême et d'une grande érudition sur sa ville. Il nous a promené 3 heures durant dans d'innombrables ramblas et ruelles, à la chasse au dragons, avec milles commentaires intéressants. Dégustations de churos faits sur l'heure et le meilleur café de Barna ! Un régal ! Des Wisigoths aux romains, de la guerre civile à l'autonomie catalane, entre vicissitudes et injustices de l'histoire, il a su dresser un tableau émouvant et poignant dun peuple fier et fort. We had the best tour and a great time with Philippe! His storytelling kept both the kids and adults intrigued as we wound our way visiting the sights of the gothic quarter. Not only did he show us all the regular sights like the Columbus statue (then quiz the kids and give them the story behind it! ); but he also showed us things like the Guell Palace that were interesting and later proved to be important to understanding Barcelona, Gaudi and Guell! The places he showed us kept coming back up in conversations as we continued to explore Barcelona. In addition, Philippe was great with all the kids (ages 8, 14, 15) and brought each of them into the conversation. He is just an amazing person and an incredible guide and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to do a tour with him!Amazing experience!

First of all, let me say… Philippe was great from the moment off.. a nice smile, full of joy and looked like he was happy to be there… he was bright and colourful and certainly made us feel welcome… Philippe was great with our two children (11 & 6) even though our two were pretty tired after 3 days of city breaking… but alas, his knowledge of the city, history in general (in all areas of Catalonian / Spain / Europe) but he was fun fun fun… so I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to take their children and themselves out for a good tour of the city and the amazing amount of Dragons located around some of the most stunning parts… I would perhaps started earlier in hindsight as the children would have perhaps been a bit more alert to the questions and the quizzes… anyway, Philippe took it all in his stride and to be honest I could have spoken to him all day long as he had so many amazing experiences and stories to tell.. his love and knowledge to the city is second to none and therefore I would recommend him, and in fact I already have to a good friend who is hoping to go to Barcelona for Easter 2022. This was our 3rd tour in three days with three children. One teen and two younger children. My 5year old was able to walk the whole tour without telling us she needed an electric scooter to get her up hills. Great tour! We all enjoyed it and I would recommend Philippe for everyone. We all enjoyed Phillipe’s tour immensely. We took our 11 year old and a 7 year old along and they were entertained for 3 hours hunting and naming dragons around Barcelona. Later when we were out they kept pointing out the dragons they had found on the tour and even remembered some of the history of the places they had seen. Phillipe was knowledgeable and amusing and really patient with the kids. Highly recommended! Awesome tour!

We had a great time! I have a 10 year old girl and a 7 year old boy and they both have it a 10 out of 10. Philippe was interesting and patient with the kids, even when my son was doing karate kicks instead of listening Philippe took it all in stride and didn’t get frustrated with them (or if he did he didn’t show it). I wasn’t sure how much information my kids retained, but for the rest of our trip in Barcelona they were looking for dragons and St Jordi. They were also able to talk about Gaudí and recognize his style throughout the city. It was a lot of fun and I definitely recommend it. Fun adventure in Barcelona

Philippe took us (2 adults, 2 kids - 6 & 8 yr old) for an original, unique, and interesting tour of Barcelona. Great interaction with the kids, and lots of interesting stories and facts for all of us. The dragon hunt is a wonderful idea, and it kept the kids tuned up until the very end (I must admit, it was fun also for the adults). Philippe himself is super friendly, charming, and it was fun walking and talking with him about any subject (related to Barcelona and others). The sites chosen for the tour include a wide range of aspects of the city: history, art, food, old and new, and Phillipe had a vast knowledge to share about all of these. My husband, 4 year old daughter and I enjoyed this dragon tour in January 2020. We walked around the city before meeting with Philippe and realized only during this tour how much we truly missed and the meaningful history embedded in places you wouldn’t think to look. Not only did Philippe share with us Catalonian history, he also brought us to some good spots for a traditional snack or beverage to try and my favourite part of the tour was that it was intimate, catered to our needs and kept our young daughter engaged. My 10 years old (who did not want to go on the tour at all) was bummed when we had to cut the tour short after three hrs due to others plans and she was not allowed to find the last two dragons - Philippe could not have done a better job. What a beautiful experience we had with Philippe! It was a wonderous afternoon following through the little alleyway where the dragons are hidden. The children age 4 and 6 had the time of their life!!! Phillippe was very knowledgeable about the history of Barcelona, and it was a memorable experience for my son, who loves storytelling. We kept looking for dragons even after the tour on every building. It was an eye-opening for the kids, and Phillippe was a super tour guide with whimsical storytelling. We booked 2 tours with Phillipe for our 3 day trip to Barcelona. It was the best decision we could have made. My 9 and 10 year old boys get tired of me being the tour guide, Phillipe stepped in and is now a hero! They talked about the dragon tour the whole way home and we have to make paella and pan con tomate this weekend for grandparents! Phillipe is a treasure trove of knowledge, kindness and patience. We’ve already sent his name out to friends going to Barcelona this weekend and will be sharing with others. We had a wonderful time! I can say that this tour being private, just us 4, we were able to customize it to our liking. Take longer where we wanted, move faster when we wanted; be careful of booking Airbnb Experiences, you end up mostly in groups with folks you don’t know and there is little flexibility.....we learned this by talking to other travelers this week.
