great horse trip!!! the guide is a great guy who took us to a place with a view of the coast and the capital. The horses were beautiful and polite and the whole trip was worth the money spent 😊 This is must have trip . My wife and I were on a cruise with a one-day stop in Cagliari. We weren't sure how to take in all of the rich history and culinary traditions of Sardinia in such a short time. Then, we discovered Walter. He met us outside the cruise terminal gate, and and drove us to the highest of the seven hills surrounding Cagliari, where there was a walled-in city that dated back to the Roman era. We then proceeded to walk downhill along cobblestone streets and charming alleys enjoying the local fare, and even strolled through an open air market where we sampled many of the local foods. The price we paid meant that Walter paid for the food and even the wine that we sampled. We covered about seven miles of walking, eating our way down the hill. Of course, we were fine with the walking, and Walter had tailored this trip to our tastes. For those that want to walk less, he would assuredly tailor the day to your whims. I booked a private tour with Walter for a small group sailing together on a cruise. We met at a location convenient to walk to from the ship and got started right on time. Walter explained that our route would take us through all of the major neighborhoods in Cagliari, and explained a bit about the history and culture of each area. The focus of our tour was underground Calgiari, so we spent a good amount of time beneath churches and historical sites where ancient ruins had been found, and in some cases restored. It was fascinating, and we felt that we got a great value for what we paid vs a tour from the ship. I'm sure we covered more in 2.5 hours than the much more expensive 4 hour ship tour. Note: there is a lot of walking on hilly streets, so be aware. We did have one member of our group who skipped the last part because of knee problems, but if you can manage the walking, the views are well worth it! Walter was personable and fun, and interacted with the group in a very nice way, being sure to include everyone. We would 10/10 do it again, and if we return to Cagliari we will book another tour with Walter.More than we had hoped for!

Our group of four only had one day to visit Cagliari. Walter’s tour was the perfect overview of the town. While our tour was nominally a tour of the “underground,” he gave us lots of history and insight into what was above ground too. I don’t know that we’d have discovered the sites he shared with us without his guidance. Loved having an intimate group because we could ask questions relevant to our interests and previous knowledge so easily. His tour was really a fantastic finish to our visit to beautiful Sardinia.More than just underground - great tour!

If you are looking for a city tour with all hidden gems, Walter is the right choice for you! It is like exploring the city with a friend. He was born in Cagliari and, therefore, knows the best spots and has the best stories. The only advice I would give, not to Walter, but rather to the Tour Organizer, is that you should maybe just call it a „food tour“ without mentioning an exact number of food spots. The description stated 10, but we had 2 in reality. Which was completely enough for us. The expectation was was just different. Still 10/10!!!Cagliari wih a friend!

We took the Underground tour and we’re delighted with the different types of architecture and viewpoints, from crypts to vistas that he included on the tour. We had a great, but also very exhausting day (many hills to climb in Cagliari!). At the end we felt that we „understand“ the city and its history. Highlights were the people we met on our way, who had a true passion for their food. The Seada (with honey from the strawberry tree!) were by far the best we tried on the whole island - and we tried a few. 😜 If you wanted to improve something, it would be to respond to the wishes expressed in the booking form and to distribute the food stops more evenly along the way.Great guide

Walter -a local friend. It felt we were traveling with a local friend. He was lovely and familiar from the word go. He tailor made a special request we had,and the peak of the day was meeting his interesting and unique father and sister. I think what made it really special was that when he didn't know something he didn't pretend otherwise and just asked other people. He is authentic and genuine. Walter a local friend!

Walter was the best guide! We spent 3 hours tasting the local treats- from cheese to desserts. As a native of the city he knows so much about its history and shared his passion and love of his home town. He was fun to talk to and based the food tastings on our preference for vegetarian options. We were able to visit local bakeries, pasta shops and the large food market - places we’d never have found on our own!
