Glad we took you dear Piyaporn! started the day early by her recommendation, but then needed a good coffee, and thankfully, the sweet driver and her stopped at our favorite spot and waited even though traffic is a challenge! appreciate it! Piyaporn has great knowledge, and we received all info by her, then my mom wanted to put on costumes and take pictures, and at the end og the trip, my parents were very tired (arrived in Thailand the day before) and we wanted to shorten the trip. Everything was accepted with a big smile, she took some amazing photos for us and I'm very happy we got to see Ayyutthaya and learn a lot about the area and history. Thank you! :) Thank you!

Piyaporn from Withlocals picked us up from Empire Place at 8:30 and we drove through Bangkok’s notorious rush hour until we reach open roads through its drab and impoverished suburbs to Ayutthaya, Thailand’s second capital. Piyaporn is a friendly, well informed guide who explained Ayutthaya’s rise and fall in perfect English, while also letting me practice my Thai with her. The minivan was airconditioned, comfortable and expertly driven by our driver. Ayutthaya remained a ruin, its treasures scavenged by thieves who broke the heads from countless buddha crypts to rob the deceased of the jewels and gold intended for their afterlife. We toured four temples. Wat Chaiwatthanaram, Wat Phutthaisawan, Wat Phra Si Sanphet and Wat Phanan Choeng. It was a visually stunning and informative day, and she’s an excellent photographer, choosing the perfect vistas to preserve our memories of a great tour. A great tour of Ayutthya with Piyaporn

This tour was amazing! It was so cool getting to explore the Ayutthaya ruins in depth. My guide, Piyaporn, was incredibly friendly, personable, and knowledgeable as well. Piyaporn met us at our hotel promptly and we spent our day travelling in a very comfortable air conditioned people carrier. Equipped with a big icebox full of cold water and as we got back to the car our lovely driver offered us cold towels which were very refreshing. We had discussed our day with Piyaporn prior to our visit...we have certain restrictions to our mobility and she planned a perfect day for us which covered all the highlights we wanted to see without the day being too challenging. We lunched with her in a locals restaurant and tried her recommendations which were delicious. A fantastic day and we will definitely recommend her as her local knowledge is excellent.Great day out

Her knowledge of Ayutthaya's history and culture was very good and they made the tour informative and engaging. Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Tag mit perfektem Service. Die Abholung von Piyaporn war pünktlich. Unseren Fahrer Nim lernten wir auch direkt kennen. Schon auf dem Weg nach Ayutthaya haben wir alles erfahren was uns interessierte. Vor Ort haben wir nach unseren Bedürfnissen und Wünschen die Tempel besucht, die wir sehen wollten. Zwischendurch auch immer ein paar schöne Fotoaufnahmen von uns als Familie. Selbst als unsere Tochter keine Lust mehr hatte haben wir kurzfristig umgeplant und Fische gefüttert.... So war die Laune aller wieder hergestellt. Insgesamt können wir den Ausflug, aber gerade auch Piyaporn und Nim sehr empfehlen. There's a reason we have been on 2 tours now with Piyaporn, and a reason we've been on 5 tours with With Locals, and that reason is Piyaporn herself! She is a fantastic guide and she's got us hooked! A few years ago we went on a food tour with her and she showed us some amazing places and taught us some really cool things, so it was a no-brainer to go with her again on our trip to Ayutthaya. She messaged us well in advance to check if we like to go a bit earlier to beat the heat as much as possible, and she was not kidding. My own objection to that and wanting to sleep in was the only thing message that day less than optimal. Make sure you do everything in your power to keep cool if you do this trip, especially if you go with Piyaporn because she has some amazing things to teach you and you really want to pay attention to her and not the fact that you feel like you're melting haha. She brought umbrellas to keep us shady though, and had cool towels in the car to occasionally cool down. But most importantly, she showed us some really cool places and taught us a lot of really interesting information about them!What a wonderful guide!

Ayutthaya was incredible to see, and Piyaporn was very knowledgable about each ruin and the overall history of the site. On top of that, she was very kind, answered all of our questions, and had a great sense of humor. We had a wonderful trip to Ayutthaya (1 hour drive from Bangkok). Piyaporn organised the transportation which was lovely (big van with a very friendful driver who made sure we were comfortable). They have shown flexibility in what and when we wanted to see and organised a terrific authentic lunch in Boat Noodle (recommend to everyone). Hope to visit Bangkok again!Great host!

Despite a late start (I overslept!) journey was very comfortable with a tea break on the way. The tour was amazing, Piyaporn is very knowledgeable and the Ayutthaya history fascinating. I learned all about the numerous kings, interference by the French and English and trading with Portuguese and Dutch. Also about the moving of many Chinese to Thailand. My mom and I recently completed a private tour to Ayutthaya with our guide Piyaporn. It was the highlight of our trip to Bangkok thus far. I can’t believe how amazing the ruins of the old capital and temples were. They were also a thousand times less crowded than the temples in Bangkok. If history is something you enjoy, you will love doing this private tour with Piyaporn. She was super knowledgeable and so helpful. She and the driver kept us plied with cold water and showed constant concern for our comfort. My mom is nearly eighty and we had real concerns about hours walking around ruins in the heat. We didn’t need to worry at all. The transport van was comfortable with excellent air conditioning. Piyaporn also made things special by taking really nice photos from good vantage points. She was also flexible about start times and which temples to see. If you are considering this day trip, this one was really unforgettable! I can’t recommend Piyaporn enough.Great day trip to Ayutthaya!
