We very much enjoyed our private tour with Étienne, which was such good value! It was perfect for us, as we had a slightly different reason for taking a tour, as we are shortly moving to the city. Étienne tailored the tour for my family with three young kids to keep them engaged. He answered many many varying questions, and had many great stories for kids as well as adults. Antwerpen klassiek maar toch anders! Mooie uitstap met Etienne. Een wandeling van 3 uurtjes door Antwerpen! De tijd vloog. Genoten van de deskundige en aangename info in onze kleine privé groep. Van het Mas naar de grote markt , ondanks meerdere keren bezoek aan Antwerpen, weer vele nieuwe weetjes en ontdekkingen. Een dikke pluim voor Etienne. We did a day trip to Antwerp from Brussels and booked a walking tour with Etienne. He had a great way of approaching his tour, he started in present day Antwerp and walked us back through history. We started atop the 9th floor of the MAS Museum where he gave us an overview of the history, highlights and development of Antwerp. We then ventured through town where Etienne took us back through the last centuries with interesting stories about Antwerp's history. We've hired private guides in many countries throughout Europe, and Etienne is equal to the best. He is knowledgeable, friendly and throughly professional. He regaled us with the history of Antwerp, told interesting stories about the places we visited, and was altogether entertaining and engaging. He made Antwerp come alive, which caused us to regret that we had not scheduled more time. He brought us to a wonderful restaurant that was so good, we ate there 3 times! Etienne is very knowledgeable about the city and takes you smoothly through the time frames the city of Antwerp has passed in its formation as one of the business hubs today. My girls loved hearing him and my little one year old too loved to be carried by him for a little stroll. Antwerp is better seen through Etienne eyes for sure. Etienne is a great tour guide. He’s very easygoing and knows the history of Antwerp very well. I studied in Antwerp 25 years ago and thought to know everything about the city. NOT. Etienne took us to places I haven’t found on my own even in the 5 years I lived in the city. Etienne is very well educated in the Belgium history and passionate about his city Antwerp. He provided us with a lot of good historical context and information. He’s really a true story teller, with his typical Belgium humor. At the end of the tour he politely asked us for our preference: Coffee, tea, soft drinks or a Belgium beer. We book this tour two weeks before we go to Antwerp. The tour with Etienne was a recommendation from our friends. Etienne suggest us a other tour, because we are the first time in Antwerp. We met him at the big market ( grote Markt) at 10 o’clock in the morning. He is a very friendly man and speaks English very well, much better than ours. The planned time for the tour was 3 hours, but our tour was a little bit longer,because we had many questions. Etienne said to us, that would not be a problem for him. So we have our best city tour ever. At the end of the tour we go to a very nice pub and tast a beer. Thank you very much for this amazing tour in Antwerp. The best cityguide

We took two back-to-back tours with Etienne: - The first tour was 'main sights with non-classic stories' which concentrated on the area in the immediate vicinity of the market square. We learnt about the history, architecture and prominent people of the old city. Very interesting. - After a stop for lunch of delicious waffles, we then toured the main shopping district, the station, the Jewish quarter and the wholesale diamond trading area. Etienne is an excellent guide who really knows his subject and explains things in an informative and informal manner. He adapted the second tour to meet our specific needs. It was a fascinating day.
