   Strijp S, an urban hotspot with industrial heritage

5. Stop 2

   Strijp R, a former Philips industrial area, nowadays a urban hub

6. Stop 3

   After Strijp R, we see the Evoluon, a special building, some different neighboods parks and if you wish you can visit some new hotspots in the centre. We can finish the biketour where you want..

7. Stop 4

   We wil pass through some nice green areas of the city

8. Final stop

   We will head back to the bike shop to return our bikes

I have enjoyed very much my Eindhoven bicycle tour, discovering old and new aspects of an evolving city. Visit of the circular economy warehouse and the biological farm was enlightening as learning about the first short-wave radio transmission by Kgn Wilhelmina in 1927. Dank U weel!Very nice tour - despite the cold weather!

I enjoyed my day with Elleke. I had planned on renting an e-bike when she arrived at my hotel. I didn’t realize there was no data left on my phone and was unable to rent through my app. Elleke was patient as I scrambled to rent a bike through the hotel. Eindhoven can be difficult to navigate if you’re not familiar with the city roads along with many bikes, cars, and people passing by. I was happy to have Elleke lead me through to our destinations. You are expertly looked after!! Elleke will meet you at a location of your choice whether it be your hotel or at a bike rental shop (VeloRent is very good!) and then she takes you on a 2.5 hour whistlestop tour of Eindhoven where you see all the best bits and she does ask you if there’s anything in particular you want to see. The Philips family is very dominant in this town and we see the factories where they used to produce things which have now been turned into other workspaces. Plus the houses that were built for the Philips workers, the PSV stadium, art installations in parks etc We ran overtime by half an hour as we had a leisurely coffee and a nice chat! Recommended! You are expertly looked after!!

Recommended. Pleasant afternoon with Elleke showing us around Eindhovens strip-s , piet hein eek design, De Genneper Watermolen ,biofarm & local districts. Interesting city cycling 'adventure' made so much more enjoyable with Ellekes calm example of local bike etiquette, not something I would of easily accomplished myself, even with google maps! ( nb Withlocals site bit excitable & 'needy'..)Cool tour

We had a great time exploring Eindhoven with Elleke. Some interesting places and lots of green space. Only downside was the bike tour was described as “with a picnic “. Half way round Elleke told us this was wrong there was no picnic and the withlocals site needs corrected. It would have been good to know this in advance.Nice bike ride

The bike tour with Elleke was a unique experience. Unique in the way that I have been to Eindhoven before and seen a lot of “hotspots” of the city. Elleke ,however, showed me a lot of undiscovered and upcoming parts of Eindhoven which gave me a new view of the city. What I found interesting where the sights on the new cultural hotspot “Strijp”. What also surprised me was that very close from the lively center Elleke showed me the Genneperparken. A wide green peaceful areawhere you can truly relax. I love the concept of getting to know a city through the eyes of a local. Elleke is a friendly spontaneous guide. The picnic was afitting end to this fun tour.Bike Tour Eindhoven

I participated in a bike tour throughout Eindhoven organized by Elleke. I thoughtI knew Eindhoven quite well, but I was amazed at the wonderful spots that were new for me. Last Saturday I experienced the bike tour of Elleke together with my mom. Elleke is a really nice and friendly host who has a lot of knowledge about Eindhoven. Besides, she has a real passion for guiding people around which makes the experience even more fun! Elleke showed us different spots in Eindhoven, she guided us around cozy neighborhoods, parks, and showed some historical buildings. Elleke is a really nice and friendly host. The tour was well organized. Elleke showed us several historical places, parks, neighborhoods and also upcoming trendy places in Eindhoven. It is a fun way to discover Eindhoven with your family or friends and being active at the same time. I did the tour together with my daughter and we really enjoyed it together! The bike tour was a really enjoyable Experience. Elleke was a very friendly and open host. During the bike tour she showed me a couple of excentric places in Eindhoven. A couple of examples where she took me; An excentric hipster café/restaurant with modern but yet vintage interior, A place with some exclusively small an cool companies where you can buy design products, A small farm just outside Eindhoven with its own bio-organic shop, A place where you could play minigolf and lots more. So if you're curious about these places, you should definitely BOOK this experience! All in al it was a very educational and fun experience in Eindhoven.Bike Tour Eindhoven

It has to be said that the group of 6, of which 1 could not really cycle, and at least 3 were pathologically inclined to wonder off in opposite directions, and we turned up at the wrong meeting point - at the wrong time - Elleke deserves to be designated a saint in her own life-time for tolerance and patience alone. We had a fantastic morning, and a wee chunk of the afternoon seeing parts of Eindhoven I has no idea where there. Elleke was a fantastic host, extremely generous with her time, and clearly her highest concern was that we should see the best parts of Eindhoven. Lots of unexpected little treats, like the amazing arts shop, the biological farm and the water mill. It will be a few hours of your day to do the tour, but your view of Eindhoven will change for ever. It was a perfect spring afternoon for cycling with Elleke around Einhoven Strijp -S district, through tree lined avenues, villages and parks with stops to see artisans workshops, a city farm and a drink stop. Elleke met me at the Hotel and organised the bike hire, set a comfortable cy ling speed and gave lots of insite to life in Einhoven.
