Ana was very knowledgeable and engaging. She answered our many questions throughout the tour. Not only did we learn lots about the many artists and writers who lived in the area, Ana told us an array of stories about their lives giving context and showing the various ways that connected the vibrant communities we walked through. Her tour is a must for those interested in the Impressionists and Montmartre. 10

This walking tour was such a wonderful highlight to this special birthday trip. As someone who has studied art and this being my second visit to Paris, I really wanted to try something a little different.
I really appreciated the reliable communication in the lead up to this experience and being asked when we first met, what I wanted to get out of this experience. And of course, it was super exciting to stand outside the cafes, bars or homes that the Impressionists has once been at.
Ana is really lovely, patient and knowledgeable- I was so lucky that Ana was available as my guide for this walking tour. We could deviate from the topic a little to also appreciate all the current street art which was fun too. As a result of our time together, I learnt about lesser-known artists and received such great suggestions for what to do next in the afternoon.
I’m really unsure as to what to suggest to make this tour even better?? As someone who struggles with remembering facts, perhaps just some highlights captured through a QR code for me to take some of this info and review later?
So yes, I’m highly recommending tours with a local and Ana of course if you’re lucky to have her. Such a great idea “with locals” and I’m so grateful for this experience.A Perfect Paris Morning

My wife & I were lucky enough to have spent 3 hours with Ana exploring the hidden streets of Montmartre, made even more special by Ana's knowledge and detailed stories of 20th century Parisian artists. The experience was more like a casual walk, chatting with a close friend, no topic was off limits & Ana's research and genuine love of the area and it's history was extremely genuine. we would recommend Ana to friends, family & others looking to soak up a small part of this great city's history. A true highlight of our stay in Paris!A genuine Paris highlight!

My husband booked me a surprise trip to Paris as my birthday gift and Ana's private tour was an additional surprise. And what a terrific surprise that was! The tour was personalized and we ended up touring the neighborhood for ~4.5 hours, with a coffee break in between in a great location (don't want to spoil the surprise if you happen to do it :)). Ana is super knowledgeable and a great conversation partner. It was a pleasure to talk about the history of Montmartre and hear different stories about its past famous habitants. As an art lover and being familiar with some of the works we discussed it was extremely interesting to see locations depicted in the art works just in front of us, in today's reality. The tour is well paced, not too overwhelming, with a very logical flow, both from historical and locational points of view. I enjoyed it very much and also learned a lot! Highly recommended for someone who is interested in art/history beyond the regular "touristic" locations. Extremely enjoyable, special experience

If you want to go back in time in Paris and walk the streets of Montmartre with someone who will tell you interesting stories about artist living and working there and awake your imagination, Ana is your choice. You will hear stories about Henri Matisse, Toulouse-Lautrec, Renoir, Picasso, Hemingway, Van Gogh. Ana will take you back to 19th century Paris and her stories will stay with you even when you go home. Perfect choice for an off the beaten path sightseeing! Interesting, funny, harming. I had a very nice tour with Ana, great to see all the art works come to life and visit famous and less famous places. I studied art history myself and when visiting Paris alone, I was looking for a likeminded person to tell me more About Montmartre and the Impressionists. This tour is great for those who know little and for those Who know A bit more About art history. Excellent combination with musee d’Orsay. Lovely tour with Ana- recommended!

I can tell that Ana did quite some digging and research to come up with this tour. Showing us paintings, old fotographs and portraits on her ipad from actual locations and bringing them to life with little stories was a great way to make us connect with these artists and to understand certain paintings or influences. She has a broad knowlegde on art and the bohemian lifestyle of the days back when all these artists lived in Montmartre. Her fascination for art and the stories of these artists was contagious. She made me want to dive into arts myself.
I couldn't find a better way to introduce myself, my wife, my teenage children (13years, 14 years) to art and artists in Montmartre.
Thank you very much. Exactly what I wished for and more!

I gifted this tour to my best friend, who simply adores Impressionist Art! Ana was excellent at story-telling, bringing to life events that happened ages ago. She used visual aids on her ipad whenever possible, which was very helpful. It isn't easy to conduct tours when the homes and studios of the artists no longer exist or are no longer accessible to the public but Ana did wonderfully. If you are a fan of the Impressionist Movement, this tour is for you! A Wonderful Gift

What a Tour! Fantastic.
Ana our guide spoke impeccable English, so she was able to share her exceptional knowledge and passion of the life of the artists and their bohemian lifestyles.
Ana brought to life the era and the artists with interesting, and at times funny stories - aided by iPad photos that enhanced their telling...
(eg: How DID Suzanne Valladon find time to paint, so busy was she with her various consorts) ;-)
We have been to Montmartre many, many times but without Ana we would have again walked past Van Gogh’s home; Renoir’s studio etc. etc.
Thanks to Ana’s passion, expertise and friendly persona this Tour was one of our main highlights of Xmas in Paris.
Whether you’re a passionate art afficianado or just have an interest; this Tour is a must if you want to understand the era; the artists, their lives, loves and works.

Ana was an excellent enthusiastic guide. Her knowledge of Van Gogh - where he lived and how he lived were engaging and delightful. Her use of the iPad complemented her walking tour. Especially fascinating was how locations looked in the past and in paintings. And the pictures on the iPad helped illustrate Van Gogh’s continuous search for his artistic niche. Having been to Paris multiple times before, my friend and I were looking for a different perspective and found it. Ana's tour was absolutely the perfect introduction to the art that you can see at Musée d'Orsay and Musée de l'Orangerie! She has obviously put a lot of research into the tour and it totally showed; she shared some great stories of the artists, the area, and of course the art itself. The tour ends on a metro line that takes you straight the Musée d'Orsay so we were able to go to the museum that afternoon with a totally new perspective on the art we were seeing. A unique and informative new way to experience the neighbourhood of Montmartre as well. I think it complimented the visits to the museums perfectly :)Perfect before visiting museums

Ana was very knowledgeable about Pere LaChaise. She had done her research about the back stories of some of the people that were buried there. As a researcher, I know this takes time. She was passionate so three hours went by fast. We also learned about the overall history of Paris. If you want to dig deeper into Paris, this tour is a must-do. We had a very sunny day and that helps too. We would recommend this tour to our friends that want to learn more than the tourist spots in Paris. A wonderful Afternoon in Paris!

Our family of four (two adults, two teens) had a wonderful experience on our tour with Ana. She was warm, knowledgeable and thorough. She kept the tour going at a good pace, shared insights into many of the people buried in Pere Lachaise, both well known and obscure, and also shared a great deal of fascinating knowledge about the history of the cemetery itself. We hopped off of our plane and met Ana at Père-Lachaise. It was clear that Ana loves Père-Lachaise, and I loved that she reached out beforehand to see if there were any certain monuments/graves we wanted to see. I had NO idea how large the cemetery is and it would have certainly been overwhelming without her to guide us. I cannot recommend this tour or Ana enough. She even showed us a great app for navigating the city and walked us to the metro. Five stars for sure.Wonderful Afternoon with Ana

It was seven years ago on a trip to Paris that we had a tour with Ana, and so looked forward to working with her again.
There was a specific burial site that I wanted to see. She did her research, and led us to it on the walk.
She also pointed out burial sites of many famous folk.
She used her IPad a number of times which added to the presentation.

Who would have thought that a walk through a cemetery could be so interesting? Well, the tour of Pere-Lachaise cemetery with Ana was more than just interesting, it was fascinating and fun! Ana skillfully guided my wife and I through this beautiful but huge cemetery to the burial sites of so, so many famous (and not-so-famous, but important and interesting people), including Moliere, Delacroix, Chopin, Edith Piaf, Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison, and many more. Without her we would would have just been wandering aimlessly through the cemetery and would probably have found only a very few of these sites. But what really made the tour a big hit was the fascinating and sometimes funny, sad and/or "behind the scenes" stories that Ana told us about these and many other persons who over the years made the Pere-Lachaise cemetery their final resting place. Thanks for a wonderful tour, Ana!A great tour of Pere Lachaise cemetry!
