Donatella was an absolutely wonderful guide during our time in Naples. Warm, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable, she brought the city to life by weaving together fascinating historical details with modern stories. In just three hours she managed to show us so many highlights - from the home of Maradona and hidden Roman ruins to the birthplace of the Margherita pizza. Along the way, she pointed us to the very best spots for pizza, pasta, and gelato, and even took us to Popella to try the original fiocco di neve. As a thoughtful surprise for my girlfriend’s birthday, she treated us to the desserts herself - a gesture we’ll never forget. We felt safe, well looked after, and completely immersed in Naples thanks to her guidance. We traveled with a two year old and not only was Donatella thoughtful in her choices of sights to engage our little one, but she always made sure to include him in everything we did. Mariagrazia was a perfect guide for the day. She met us at our hotel in Naples and worked with us on the agenda for the day. We did not have any "must do" for the day but were able to describe our idea of a "good day" and she did the rest. The whole day was amazing. Mariagrazia was full of information about the region. She navigated the roads, stops, and restaurant for us. I really only have glowing things to say about the experience. She was also very gracious with our two young daughters that wanted some beach time and to do some singing in the car. This is an excellent tour to take while visiting Naples. Donatello is excellent and also gave us some good highlights of key buildings and history while we ate our way down the streets of Naples. The food choices are ideal for walking and talking and we certainly couldn’t eat it all. Plan to go back to some spots for the things we couldn’t devour since we were full. Best time was 12:30 to start the tour. Later would likely be busier and that gave us time to rest and go back out later. Thanks again!! Explore the best street food of Naples!

Donatella, led us on a fabulous two hour tour of Naples on our first trip and stay in Italy. Donatella showed us all the beautiful spots and shared her knowledge of legends and traditions of Naples. She brought us around to both the new and older parts of Naples so we were able to get a great feel of how the locals experience day to day life. Our favorite was tasting a traditional Napolian pastry and hearing the stories. She showed us areas we would not have found on our own. Well worth the booking to be able to learn more on a short stop in Naples. We would highly recommend Donatella for your next stop in Naples. We had a fun time exploring Naples with Donatella on the Culinary Kickstart Tour! She introduced us to Neapolitan food: street foods portafoglio and cuoppo; babà a favorite dessert and sfogliatelle a breakfast pastry. Although the tour was to have 6 food stops, after 3 stops we were so full that we spent the rest of the time touring the city center and historic area. She shared with us stories and insights which made our layover between Sorrento and Rome much more interesting and productive. Mariagrazia was very nice, but she was more a driver than a tour guide. This is what the itinerary said what was in store for us: Check out from viewpoints, nature, and cultural gems such as Villa Oplonti, Positano and Amalfi plus other stops your local host has prepared for you along the way. Unfortunately, the description did not match the actual tour. We had three stops and got back to Naples 45 minutes before the tour was to end. Stop 1 was to try fresh mozzarella and cheese. Loved this! Our next stop was Positano but it seemed like she really didn't want to be go there and she stayed in the car for the hour that we explored the seaside town. Then it was off to Amalfi where we ate lunch at her cousin's restaurant that has an incredible water view. It also was the most expensive restaurant we ate at during our entire trip. After our lunch we were told we could explore the town for an hour. Our tour guide stayed behind in the restaurant and we went out again on our own without a guide. Since we had paid for a tour guide, we did not research what to do in the towns because that is what a tour guide is for, right? We never visited Villa oplonti and the description of the tour states that tickets for Villa Oplontis are included. Just OK

We had a great time with Mariagrazia. Her communication was great prior to our day with her. She was also able to adjust the pickup spot to make it easier for us. While on our trip, she was awesome at pointing out history and local points of interest. She took us to a cheese factory and we were able to see mozzarella being made and we even were able to try the cheese right from the production line. You can’t get any fresher than that! She also took us to try some local sweets that were amazing. I could go on and on as we experienced much more than what I have noted, however, I wanted to at least call the places that we would have never experienced if we were a part of a big tour group. It was fun because she engaged all of us and had some fun conversations with our kids and our youngest about video games. This was our third time using With Locals and it did not disappoint. It is so much better as Mariagrazia didn’t take the “normal” tourist route which would have added a lot of driving time and less time experiencing the local culture. We cannot recommend her enough as we had a great day with her! Fun experience seeing the Amalfi coast

We had a wonderful and relaxing day with Mariagrazia as she drove us to see the towns along the Amalfi Coast. We met up with her at the Central Naples train station and then headed to Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi where we wandered a bit I. Town and enjoyed a delicious seaside lunch and Ravello, where we toured the Villa Rufala which to me was the most beautiful location. She gave us lots of information along the way about the culture, the history, the sea and land, the food, seems like everyone knew her everywhere we stopped as well, which was fun. Heading back we stopped in the side of the road for the best lemon ice I’ve ever had. And she helped my husband find the sunglasses he was hoping to buy while in Italy nearby, too. Mariagrazia was absolutely amazing. My husband and I had about Amalfi but Mariagrazia showed us Amalfi Coast. She was so knowledgeable about the area. We let her guide us and what time it was. We tasted fresh mozzarella and ricotta cheese😻 Fresh figs. Toured a beautiful grotto. Had the most delicious lemon slush. Lunch was FANTASTIC!!! We let her choose and it was the best meal!! We also learned a lot of Italian. Mariagrazia is the best you could ask for in a tour guide. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Best day ever!!

We had a wonderful day trip with Mariagrazia. She was so attentive to our 7 year old, he absolutely loved her. One of the highlights was a fantastic pizza and seafood lunch where we played Uno, all trying to win a round! We knew in advance some of the places we wanted to visit but she also had some ideas that we wouldn’t have known about and expertly drove us between stops, ensuring that we saw everything without ever being rushed. Mariagrazia was terrific. She picked four of us (two couples) up in Sorrento and took us on a tour of the Amalfi coast. She was very knowledgeable and very charming. Stopping along the route she would pull over and let us take breathtaking photos. Also stopped at a little fruit vendor where we had fresh squeezed orange juice and bought some fruit. We stopped at a very nice ceramic shop and next door took a quick side venture to the Green Grotto - very cool. Our other stops were in Positano and Amalfi. In Amalfi she joined us for lunch at her favorite restaurant where everyone knew her and we had a very nice lunch. Afterwards, we were taken back to the kitchen after the meal to pose for pictures with the chef and crew. Then time to wander around Amalfi. We were running low on time due to our schedule and a later start, so we had to miss Ravello (next time!). But we did stop in another great seaside town on the way back. Mariagrazia was the perfect host and great driver, we felt very confident with her behind the wheel as the traffic on the Amalfi coast is crazy. Highly recommend Mariagrazi and With Locals. A wonderful day with a wonderful driver

Our party of four adults (mom, dad, and 2 college students) had a great time with Mariagrazia on our driving tour of Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi. She took us to the best photo sites, places to eat/snack, shopping, and local attractions. We also skipped the crowds and dined at her cousin’s seaside restaurant in Amalfi, but there was absolutely no pressure to dine there—all itinerary decisions were made by us guests. My wife and I had the pleasure of taking a tour of the Amalfi Coast with Mariagrazia. She was a fantastic guide that went above and beyond to provide us with a unique experience tailored you our specific requests, including a surprise stop along the way in her hometown where we were able to sample and purchase some delicious local cheese. On top of that, we were able to taste some amazing grilled artichokes being sold on the street, which was a real treat. Throughout the day, we stopped at various local shops and were able to enjoy a fantastic lunch right on the ocean. As if all of this wasn't enough, Mariagrazia even took us on a short tour of Napoli before saying our goodbyes. Overall, the tour was absolutely wonderful, and our guide was incredibly fun, knowledgeable and an absolute delight. Donatella gave us a real Neapolitan experience. She's led us through neighborhoods off the beaten path and some of the more well-know classic sites as well. We sampled great food from many different vendors and shops along the path and got to know Donatella and what life was list in Naples. She was great! She also worked with our other WithLocals tour guide, Roberto, who we had scheduled a Pompeii tour with for later that afternoon. She and he coordinated a driver for us to get from Naples to Pompeii and back to the Naples train station so we could head back to Rome that evening. Our day began with my Dad, Fiancé and I meeting our wonderful travel manager Mariagrazia at the train station were she collected us. Instantly her friendly personality put as at ease as we set off into a mixture of cheese, Limoncello and chocolate tasting. Having Maria with us gave us a whole new perspective and real insight what it could be like to be a local in the region. Maria was very proactive and booked a wonderful seaside restaurant for us to enjoy lunch in the Amalfi Coast. Furthermore, it’s worth noting her driving skills are fantastic, the roads may twist and turn but she got us there without feeling sick (which is impressive as we normally do on similar roads). My husband and I spent all day with Mariagrazia exploring the Amalfi coast. She picked us up very close to our apartment in Naples and drove us in her very nice, comfortable car to begin our adventure. She is an excellent driver and we felt safe in her capable hands on the narrow, twisting roads. She provided us with many opportunities to take pictures and view the panoramic scenery. Lunch was delicious at a waterfront restaurant in Amafi. We toured the Doumo and tasted Limoncello. After a last stop in delightful Ravello we returned to Naples.
