Our adventure includes a walk through the city center and a few stops by some of the best chocolate spots in Antwerp. On our way we'll discover the history and charms of this fascinating city.

We'll start our story at the Chocolate Bar, where you'll drink a delicious hot chocolate. In the meantime, we'll discuss aspects related to the history behind the "Nectar of the Gods" and you can also try to break cocoa beans by yourself, in the old style!

Then we hit the road to meet the city as we stop by another chocolate shop in order to tast the Hands of Antwerp which just to connect it with the legend we lear about the origins of the name of the city. After this tasting we continue our journey through the city center in order to see more of its charms. Then we stop at the next shop in order for you to taste this luxury dark chocolate. Here you will get it why eating chocolate is... unavoidable! We'll try an exercise to distinguish the flavors of these delicious goodies. If we are lucky, we may get to taste some of the new creations of the chocolatier when he is at shop.

Finally, we hit the road again for you to see some more of the city and end up at the Chocolate Line, where you can see a real laboratory and how the yummy products are made. You'll get to taste some exotic new praline varieties as well as doing a tasting exercise through your nose!!!

It'll be my pleasure to walk with you around the city, as we delight in chocolate tasting and discover its stories, past and present.

We had a chocolate tour of Antwerp with Luis yesterday. It was fantastic. We got to see great sites in Antwerp and learned a ton about chocolate and specifically how it is produced in Belgium. This was our first tour with “With Locals” but we are already planning to do more in other cities! Luis was super knowledgeable and very friendly. Super fun (and yummy!) chocolate tour!

Having booked the tour with Luis, he kept in touch with us beforehand, and even arranged to meet us at the port 15 minutes before the tour as we were on a cruise for my daughters Hen Party. Luis took my sister and I around Antwerp to four or five different shops where we had hot chocolate and also sampled different chocolates. This was helpful as we later came back to our favorite shops to purchase gifts. In addition to learning about the chocolate, we learned about various landmarks and fun facts about Antwerp (ex. fashion and how Antwerp got its name) while walking around. We enjoyed ourselves!Good Times!

I can't say enough great things about Luis! I did the Chocolate tour with him, and I got far, far more than I expected! Not only did I get to try some of the amazing chocolates of the city, I learned so much about how chocolate is produced, where it comes from, and what sets different types of chocolate apart from each other. And if that wasn't enough, as we walked around the city, he pointed out local historical spots and gave me some of the history of those as well. If you only have one day to see Antwerp, Luis is the person you should absolutely have show you around!Amazing!!

We spent three hours with Luis and gained a fascinating insight into chocolate - its history, the best places to buy chocolate in Antwerp and the huge variety of flavours available. There were several tasting stops along the way, including one where we tried many different flavours including bacon and cannabis! The tour ended with a chocolate flavoured gin and chocolate snuff. This is a 'must do' for anyone who is a fan of chocolate. Fascinating Chocolate Tour

Luis is an excellent host. He knows everything about chocolate, but also about Antwerp. Every question we asked him, he answered with joy & knowledge. Tasted many kinds of special & good chocolates. You just have to do this tour. It's something different than the standard tours. Enjoy!Loved it!

Nom nom nom! This tour was Great! Luis is a cool guide who knows the city well and chocolate even better :) We started from hands on approach with a cacao bean and went all the way to artisan chocolatiers in the old town. If you like chocolate, you’ll love this tour with Luis. He took us to three places to showcase the different styles of some of the best chocolatiers of the city. We would have preferred the commentary to focus more on the art and history of Antwerp. Luis accommodated our need for a coffee stop and a sit down half way through and we were able to travel at an appropriate pace for our limited mobility. We found Luis strong Spanish accent hard to understand at times but as there were only two of us we were able to ask him to repeat words we had missed. Thank you Luis for sharing your City with us. Luis is friendly and very likeable. The route was interesting and his knowledge was good. We would, however, have liked a wider selection of foods, since this was a food tasting tour. Four of the tastings were chocolate; good quality, yes, but we would have enjoyed to taste more of Belgian foods. Good guiding, little tasting variety.

The fact that I was always in contact with the guests and tourists made it possible for me to awaken my social skills, which I had put to sleep some time ago, working in sales for a few years.
