Our group of 4 enjoyed a great private tour in the heart of KL’s Chinatown with Siddoz and his trainee (Steve?). Siddoz was firstly very patient and understanding as we were delayed in KL traffic for ~15 mins. He catered to my fussy parents, explained the dishes we were trying and introduced us to foods we wouldn’t have ordinarily tried. He also took us to a couple of really cool spots for photo ops, some of the best photos on our holiday (thanks Steve, our personal photographer too!). We had requested a food tour focused on authentic local cuisine and street food that the locals eat here. I am a foodie and amateur cook myself, having lived and worked on three continents – most recently for three years in China. My interest always lies in the true local cuisines of ordinary people. I had not yet experienced Malaysian cuisine firsthand. Through Siddoz, we learned more about this cuisine in one evening than we could have on our own in a week. Siddoz guided us to some good food which was a useful introduction to Malaysian cuisine. He spent quite a lot of time on his phone so there wasn't a lot of interaction between us but he knew his way around the best food stalls which was really what we were interested in! Even prior to the meeting Siddoz was very prompt with messages and tailored the tour as per our needs. This was my third visit to Malaysia and I think I knew most about Malaysian food. However within the first 2 dishes quickly proved me wrong. We went from stall to stall - each hand picked for what it was great at - and we got to try some great dishes from the differnt ethnic groups that make up the Malaysian population. Would definitely recommend this guide. Great intro to malaysian food.

Sidoz was knowledgeable and friendly and we enjoyed our time sampling different local foods. There was only one dish we didn't enjoy, but we still were completely full at the end! It was an abrupt end to the session, but that was down to heavy rain that suddenly appeared.Great half day food tour

I met Siddoz (and Cash who was being trained at the time) at the Central Market and was taken on a food tour to remember. I got to sample Malaysian, Chinese and Indian food. Siddoz took us around to places we would not have otherwise found and got to experience some great, authentic food and sights, as well as insights about the history and culture of Malaysia. Highly recommend doing one of these tours, especially if you like trying new foods and finding hidden (inexpensive) gems! Siddoz was also great at giving us some advice the day after, when we were venturing in to Little India - had some of the best Indian we have had there, on his recommendation. Siddoz was a fabulous guide- he took us to numerous delicious stops, expertly tailoring the experience to be a good fit for two vegetarians. The food was absolutely delicious, the conversations interesting and we learned a lot about the history and culture of the areas we were eating in. Also, the value for price was perfect! We were so full we had to ask to take away food from the last 2-3 spots and they easily accommodated us. Now we have ample leftovers as well of delicious food. Highly recommend booking with Siddoz! We undertook a food tour with Siddoz which exposed us to the very many varied cuisines available in Kuala Lumpar, and he proved to be a very knowledgeable food host. Along with his offsider trainee guide Raja, we learnt a great deal about not just the food, but what goes into it, and the endless variety of what we might consider to be the nasi, mee, and ayam classics, and so on. Trying everything from unusual small cakes, flavoursome tea, various forms of laksa, tasting noodles everywhere from the real back street food scene to the new and upmarket, the night did not lack from a variety of foods and tastes. The tour also had the advantage of being able to be experienced within a short walking distance so the time was well spent. On a final note, bring your appetite. Siddoz conducted an excellent tour of street food in Kuala Lumpur making sure we tried food representing the breadth of the cultures that have contributed to Malaysia. Had we not been with Siddoz, we would not have known where to begin. Many of the items were new to us, and all were delicious. (I really enjoyed the fried banana near the start of the tour, like a simple appetiser.) We tried food you can get nowhere else that was common fifty years ago but has now been overtaken by other methods of cooking. We tried laksa from a stall the same family has run for seventy years. Wherever Siddoz took us, the ingredients were fresh, and he explained how it was prepared and the cultural context. He also gave us a good sense of the history of the areas we walked through and some of the stalls and shops themselves. By the time we finished, we could not consume another bite. Every bite was worthwhile! I thoroughly recommend Siddoz. He paced the tour perfectly in terms of both our feet and our stomachs.An excellent taste of Kuala Lumpur

We (2 people) did the Tour "A taste of Kuala Lumpur" with Siddoz. We met punctually at 5:30 h at Molten Chocolate Cafe, where we started a very nice food tasting tour. I recommend it for all visitors who want to experience the local food, but do not feel confident enough to choose the dishes at the small restaurants and kiosks along the street market. We tried various dishes in the Jalan Along Night market and the surrounding area and Siddoz explained always, what were the ingredients or how to eat the dish. This was such a phenomenal tour! We had Siddoz as our guide and he was absolutely lovely! Took us to multiple places around/near Chinatown and Central Market and we had some of the most delicious food I've ever tasted in my life. He also gave us some history of the area and we stopped at two temples also. Definitely check this out early on in your stay so you know some of the best foods to eat! We had been in Kuala Lumpur for a couple of days when we took Siddoz's food tour. It's too bad we didn't start with his tour. The places he took us had far better versions of the dishes were tried! He took us to the places you'd never find as a tourist including a restaurant with no name in Chinatown that has a dish considered to be one of the best in the world. The tour offered a taste of Malay, Indian, and Chinese cuisines. He also gave us a brief history of Kuala Lumpur as we wandered about. Siddoz is a lovely guy who really knows his food. Go hungry and pace yourself though. By the 3rd tasting, I was so full, I could only muster a couple of bites!Great guide, awesome food

Sadly, Siddoz fell ill and couldn’t show us around. He did offer a replacement in Fareez or postpone for a different day. We went with Fareez and had a great time. He showed off Chinese, Malay, and Indian foods. We enjoyed all the bites and appreciated his wit and charm. He offered us a bonus Malaysian hamburger which was unexpected and tasty. We had a nice tour with Siddoz. Lots of food and we experienced food from different kitchens. Also visited 2 temples. Siddoz was very nice but also sometimes a bit pre-occupied and busy with his phone and other work. Overall a nice tour, but a bit expensive for what you get in return.Nice foodtour

Siddoz clearly has a reputation of the top tour guide in Kuala Lumpur for food, tastings, and this tour lived up to the hype. Great communication, easy to find the location to meet. we had our two-year-old with us which complicated the plans but our tour guides were thoughtful enough to pick places that would work for her and adjust a tour as needed. Worked extra to make sure we tasted the best Assam Laksa in Kuala Lumpur just the nick of time before they close. Would recommend any first time Kuala Lumpur visitors. I see.Wonderful tour!

Our tour with guide Siddoz was a wonderful first glimpse into Malaysian food and culture. Our evening spent with Siddoz was the best way to experience the city. Siddoz was punctual, knowledgeable and passionate about food. Despite having lived in South East Asia, I still was trying local dishes that I had not come across before and enjoyed them all. It was a pleasant surprise to also have a small walking tour of the area in between the food, with interesting snippets of history and culture thrown in. Spent a very enjoyable 4 hours exploring KL with Siddoz - a first class guide plus a ‘trainee guide’ who was also excellent - and came away understanding more about its quirkes, its contrasts, its history - but also realising there was so much more learn about the city and the country. Really worth doing
