My teenage children and I had a great day trip for Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai with Naphant. She gave us a lot of information regarding the history of the area and then was very flexible in our itinerary for the day. Ratana took my wife and I to Chiang Rai to see the white and blue temples. While it takes 3 hours to get there from Chiang Mai it was totally worth it. Ratana did a great job driving us through the mountains to get there. She took us to some great spots where the big tours won't take you. My mom and I went on the Chiang Rai day tour with Naphat. She was very knowledgeable and outgoing, sharing the history, architectural significance, and culture of our sites as well as her daily local life and her experience as a Buddhist nun. Naphat also gave us a background in Buddhist teachings and philosophy and spirituality, and I learned a lot! Even though the tour originally included just the White Temple and Blue Temple, Naphat was flexible and let us squeeze in the Black House, Guan Yin Statue, and the Clock Tower (while driving past the Night bazaar), albeit for an extra fee. Our day was jam-packed, but we were able to do everything before sunset! On the way back to Chiang Mai, Naphat let the driver stop at a backpack store so I could buy a new bag, and then dropped us off at our next stop, the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. Overall, this was a fantastic day and great learning experience, and the tour was flexible enough to fit our needs. I highly recommend booking Naphat for your Thailand tours, especially if you want to learn about Buddhism and spirituality!Enlightening & Excellent Experience

The day that my mom and I had with Naphat was nothing short of amazing. Everything was absolutely seamless, from drop off to pick up she was very extremely helpful. Voyageant en couple 3 semaines en Thaïlande cette année, ma copine voulait absolument visiter le temple blanc et le temple bleu. C'est dans cette optique que nous avons choisi de faire un crochet sur Chiang Mai après avoir passé 2 semaines sur les îles au sud. J'avais personnellement déjà visité ces temples 7 ans plus tôt lors d'un voyage en solitaire, donc je ne m'attendais pas à grand chose, sachant que je déteste passer des heures en voiture. N'étant pas motorisés, nous avions donc le choix entre les tours basiques, via car, avec plus d'une dizaine de personnes, ou bien ce tour là, plus intimiste. Je savais que je serais fatigué après deux semaines de vadrouille, donc on a choisi de payer le coût et de voir ce que ca donnerait. Et bien nous n'avons pas été déçus ! Boy est arrivé à 9h à notre hôtel, et nous sommes directement partis pour une longue journée... passée très vite. L'aller est passé en un éclair. Boy maîtrisant l'anglais, il a été très facile de discuter pendant tout le trajet, sur ce qu'on faisait là, nos expériences précédente, la culture thaïlandaise... Bref, de tout et de rien ! Sur site, Boy connaissait les meilleurs spots pour photos, une myriade d'anecdotes, me faisant complètement redécouvrir ces temples que j'avais pourtant déjà visité par le passé. Nous avons même eu la très bonne surprise d'être amené à un autre endroit que nous voulions faire de manière totalement inattendu, rendant la journée encore plus chargée en souvenirs (et photos pour le coup !) Je ne dirai pas ce que c'est, mais je vous promets que vous ne le regretterez pas (S'il vous propose de prendre une pause déjeuner entre les deux temples, dites absolument oui, vous me remercierez plus tard.) En somme, nous recommandons tous deux ce tour, mais surtout le guide ! Nous reviendrons passer plus de temps à Chiang Mai l'année prochaine, et je sais déjà que nous nous organiserons pour embaucher Boy une nouvelle fois. Pour quoi faire, je ne sais pas encore, mais c'est une certitude ! Merci encore pour cette journée Boy !Une merveilleuse journée

We flew into Chiang Mai only for this day tour and she picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. Overall we had a good visit to Chiang Rai with regards to seeing the sights. We saw all the hotspots including the hot springs, White and Blue Temples and the Black House. Also had an authentic meal at a roadside restaurant. Minty was informative regarding Buddhist history and the significance of the temples to the local culture. However, she was not as interactive as many other tour guides we have experienced before and with 6.5 hours of driving there was ample opportunity for her to tell us more about the Chiang Rai region and its people. At times we felt that we had to pry information out of her. She also made a strange comment as we approached a police checkpoint: she requested that if asked by the police who we were, to tell them that we were all friends in the vehicle. We felt uncomfortable with this and actually made us question her legitimacy as an accredited tour guide. In fact we are now questioning whether we had any insurance coverage etc as we have had for other tours we did in Thailand. Unfortunately the driver was inattentive at times. The parking brake was not engaged while we were exiting the van at the Black House and we had to prevent our two young children from falling out of the rolling van. When leaving the Black House he ran the front of the van into a concrete foundation leading to a crack in the front of the van while we were still 3 hours away from our hotel. The daytrip from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai is definitely worth it. It takes minimum 10 hours to see the Hot Springs, the Blue Temple, the Black House, the White Temple and the Temple of the 1000 Buddhas. It was breathtaking, we never so something similar before and are still flashed. Minty is a very experienced tourguide and took us to the places in another order than all the others do. Therefore it was not so crowded at the spots and we had time and space to make beautiful pixtures and saw also small things, that Minty explained to us. We originally only planned to visit the white & blue temple, but she spontaneously arranged for us to visit the black house as well (recommended as all 3 fit together). We took a day trip to Chiang Rai with Minty. She was very professional and played music for us during the long drive there. Aei was an incredible host! Leading up to the experience she was quick with all of her replies to our questions. Once with her, she went out of her way to make sure we had the best time. Myself and my two sons went with Minty to Chiang Rai from Chiang Rai for a day trip. It was a long day but soooo worth it. We went to the Wat Rong Khun (white temple), Wat Rong Suea Ten (blue temple) and Baan Dam (black house) which is more an art museum within a house and ground. I had thought we could miss Baan Dam but it was very interesting and glad we went. Two other highlights were lunch at a divine tea plantation and afternoon tea at a little cafe in the middle of a rice paddy. You would never have been able to do all this without a great local guide and Minty was that. Thoughtful, informative but also gave space when needed. Thank you so much. What a great day!

If you have a free day and are in Chiang Mai..book this tour!!! Our guide, Boy, was so awesome!! He was social, funny, and very knowledgeable of all the temples and history for them! We did not want to see the black temple museum so instead he suggested the Chinese temple and it was so worth it! It's a 2.5 hour ride from Chiang mai to the first temple so be prepared. Boy made sure to give us bathroom and coffee breaks whenever we asked. He also is a big foodie so he has great recommendations for food depending on where you are staying. The pictures will never do justice the beauty in these temples and Boy made it a wonderful trip that we will always remember!A must-see experience!!!

My daughter and I booked a day trip from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai with Minty. We chose her based on the the reviews that others had posted. She was very flexibly in listening to our interests and then adjusting our itinerary based on those interests. On visited a hot springs, the White Temple, the Blue Temple and the Black House. On the way back, we stopped by the Karen hill tribes and had a chance to chat with the Karen "long-neck". It was a wonderful day. We do not usually seek out temples to visit, but the White Temple and the Blue Temple are stunning, unlike any temples we have seen previously. We had a great experience wifh Naphat :) We really enjoyed her insight on the history and spirituality of Thailand and Buddhism. She was very cheerful and attentive and made us feel very welcomed. Really recommended if you are interested in religion, history and having a very nice time overall :)

We loved touring Chiang Rai and learning about Chiang Mai with Minty. She was really flexible and patient with all our requests and was able to customize and change course at any point according to weather and other demands. She is obviously really experienced and knows what works and what is practical and we highly recommend her for whatever tour she offers. I had a great time with Naphat. Her insight on Buddhism and meditation sparked a new interest in spiritualism that will resonate with me for the rest of my life. Her knowledge spanned past religion and also involved Thai history, culture, food, politics and ethnic groups. She gave a lot of information in our time together, but was well paced to ensure everything was taken in. She contacted me immediately after booking and was very attentive to my requests. Very willing to tailor the tour to me. Her advice for follow on activities were also amazing. I can't thank her enough! Definitely recommend!Enlightening Experience

It’s been a lifetime goal for me to visit the white temple in Chiang Rai, and I finally got my chance thanks to Minty! She was super sweet, knowledgeable, and a perfect local to take us around. We even stopped by many other destination spots on the way. I highly recommend this experience to anyone and everyone! Unforgettable!
