We loved our trip to Evora with Luis. First, Evora is a beautiful walled city with great character. The roman ruin, churches and cathedral were a great draw, but it was walking the streets and seeing the shops we loved the most. It was also wonderful to be outside of Lisbon for a day and see the countryside. Second, Luis was a terrific guide for us. From the car ride first thing in the morning until the return trip in the afternoon he was filled with information. He weaved together questions we had from other tours with new information about our visit to Evora and really helped us form a more complete picture of Evora, Lisbon and Portugal (people, places, culture and history). He is a wealth of knowledge that flows in conversations and stories and kept us engaged all day. We spent a day with Sofia touring the beautiful city of Evora. Sofia picked us up at our rental in Lisbon right on time and drove us through Portugal's beautiful countryside giving us interesting information along the way. We really enjoyed the sights she showed us and had a wonderful meal inside the walled city. I'm so glad we decided to leave Lisbon for the day as there is so much to see outside it. We highly recommend Sonia who gave us an excellent tour of Lisbon’s historical centre, including a couple of places and short cuts we would never have known about or found if we hadn’t been with Sonia. She is such a lovely person, very friendly and gave us such a lot of information about Lisbon in general during the tour. It’s well worth the money and a much nicer way to take a tour rather than walking around in a large group. We’d definitely take another tour with Sonia if we come back to Lisbon. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful day trip to Sintra with Luis! Although we endured some rain during the first half of the day, Luis made the best of it and enabled us to enjoy all of Sintra and the surrounding area. Luis' deep knowledge of Portuguese history is amazing, which brought the diverse background of Sintra to life for us. I cannot recommend Luis more for a visit to Sintra or anywhere else in the Lisbon area!Fantastic day in Sintra!

Sofia knows and loves Sintra! She met us at our hotel and we had a wonderful day. We went to her favorite local seafood restaurant and had sea bass caught that morning. Fantastic! A storm one week before we arrived caused major damage to trees and roads, so she had to adjust the itinerary, and took us to other beautiful spots along the coast. We even got to visit a local winery and craft beer brewery. What fun! Thank you, Sofia!!Great intro to Sintra!

A great tour, one of the best ways to experience Lisbon is through food, then add in Sonia's history knowledge and her experience being a local and you have a great tour. We visited local hangouts whilst wandering the streets. The tour starts with a great view out over the city and that is the highest point of the whole tour, making walking a lot easier than some tours which have significant amounts of stairs. Due to a number parades that were on in Lisbon on the day of the tour part of our group were caught in traffic and were not able to get to the starting point. Sonia gave them directions on where they should be able to get to on foot, which was a bit of challenge, hence the patient legend. I would recommend this tour, and especially Sonia, you definitely need to taste the Pasteis de nata from the place you stop at, they are definitely better than the usual ones in Lisbon.Sonia the patient legend

Our travel guide (Migel) was excellent. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Sintra & Cascais & Quelez was fabulous! Only disappointment was the weather on the day as it was cloudy & raining intemittantly, this meant that we could not go to Pena Palace due to poor visibility. Rita was fabulous, knowledgeable, personable + engaging. We really appreciated her introduction to traditional Portuguese food + drink, including a quick shot of Ginjinha between stops. We loved the casualness of the places we visited from the best custard tart maker and charcuterie shop to the traditional restaurants while we enjoyed salt cod, sardines, cheeze, jambon, chicken croquettes + chorizo sausage along with local wine samplings. Aside from the food, Rita also provided us with interesting commentary on the city and took us to areas that we might not have discovered on our own. We did not have Luis. We had Jorge. Luis had such fantastic reviews and I was really looking forward to his tour. However he had another commitment so he offered another guide in his place. I didn't want to cancel and try to find another tour since it was only a few days away so he suggested Jorge in his place. Jorge was nice and provided the standard tour but I feel we could have seen more. Jorge might be used to having tourists stop to shop, have lunch and admire scenery for extended periods of time but we wanted more tour experiences. We did not even see the Pena Palace which I was looking forward to. It may have been different if we had communicated with Jorge directly before the tour.Sintra Tour

We arrived in Lisbon Friday morning after overnight flights, jetlagged and unfamiliar with the area. We booked a walking tour with Sonia as a way to stay awake AND get a feel for the city. Sonia was amazing! It was as if we were meeting up with an old friend as she took us around her city. It didn't feel like 3 hours, the time went fast as we explored the area and saw various sites. She explained a lot of the history and showed us spots we wouldn't have noticed or seen otherwise. (We also stayed awake and had fun even though we should have been exhausted.) We had a wonderful day trip to Sintra. Even though Pena Palace was closed, we had a great time checking out the main town and Regaleira. We had a delicious lunch and then headed on to the windy ocean overlook and Cascais for gelato. Our family of four (two kids) very much enjoyed all the sites and trivia and getting all of our questions answered throughout the day. The trip was tailored to our needs including a different pick up and drop off location to fit with other activities we had planned. We also had some questions before the tour that were promptly answered and helped us in planning. And we got some tips for things to check out the next day on our drive south.
