We wanted a day outside of Dublin and had a wonderful trip to Howth with Eamon. He met us at our hotel and started filling us in on some of the history of the buildings we were passing and of Ireland as we walked to the train station. Our time in Howth was spent mostly on the hiking trail that goes along the coastline - beautiful! Eamon is very engaging and knowledgeable and will provide the experience you want. We booked Ruairi with just a days notice! He messaged us right away that our Howth day trip would be less than ideal in the rain. On very short notice he came up with a great tour of Malahide castle. We spent the morning exploring the castle and the gardens. He taught us a ton about Irish history and answered all our questions. In the afternoon he showed us around Dublin and we ended the day with the best toastie & pint of our trip. Absolutely amazing. We had a magical day hiking Howth Cliff with Ben. It was our favorite tour that we did while visiting Ireland. Ben was a great tour guide. My family of four (including two picky teenagers) LOVED our time in Dublin with Eamon. We did two tours with Eamon--the Dublin kickstarter tour and the day trip to Howth, both of which were pretty perfect! Eamon was super responsive via messages prior to meeting, and I really appreciated that. Eamon was a fantastic tour guide. He met our family of 5 at our Air B & B and gave us a brief walking tour of Dublin on the way to the train station. From there we took a quick train ride to the beautiful seaside village of Howth. Along the way Eamon shared his vast knowledge of the history of Ireland. Once in Howth we braved cold howling winds from Storm Dennis but that didn't dampen Eamon's spirit and the absolute beauty of the cliff walk. The day was definitley the highlight of our trip. We had a wonderfull time with our Tour gide, Eamon. It was our first time in Dublin so we did not know our way around. Within minutes Eamon showed us beautiful houses and hidden courtyards. My husband and I recently did a City Highlights Tour with Eamon and had a great experience. Eamon met us promptly and delivered an excellent tour on what turned out to be a very windy and cold day in Dublin. It’s clear that Eamon knows the city very well and we found him to be very warm and engaging. It was a very nice lesson in Irish history and a wonderful way to introduce us to Dublin. Eamon also emailed us ahead of time with a list of his personal recommendations for things to do around the city which was very much appreciated. We had a great time getting to know Dublin with Eamon! It's one thing to read about history and quite another to stand by pillars with chunks knocked out while someone points to the spot in the river from where boats were blasting at them! In addition to history nerdery, we learned about the habits and traditions of Trinity students, the status of seagulls (I would never have guessed they're struggling based on their cheekiness), and where to find traditional music. We were interested in the 1916 Easter Rising and he gave us a thorough understanding, took us to key locations and brought along supplementary materials. We had a nice trip up north with Kate as our driver and guide. She was able to provide round trip transport from our hotel in Dublin up to the Newgrange UNESCO area. We drove through some charming little towns on the way back. The day was a bit less structured than I was hoping for and as a result, we got behind schedule and were not able to visit a couple of sites as they were already closed. Overall, Kate had some great insights to share and was lovely company for the day.A nice visit to Newgrange
