We wanted a day outside of Dublin and had a wonderful trip to Howth with Eamon. He met us at our hotel and started filling us in on some of the history of the buildings we were passing and of Ireland as we walked to the train station. Our time in Howth was spent mostly on the hiking trail that goes along the coastline - beautiful! Eamon is very engaging and knowledgeable and will provide the experience you want. We booked Ruairi with just a days notice! He messaged us right away that our Howth day trip would be less than ideal in the rain. On very short notice he came up with a great tour of Malahide castle. We spent the morning exploring the castle and the gardens. He taught us a ton about Irish history and answered all our questions. In the afternoon he showed us around Dublin and we ended the day with the best toastie & pint of our trip. Absolutely amazing. We had a magical day hiking Howth Cliff with Ben. It was our favorite tour that we did while visiting Ireland. Ben was a great tour guide. My family of four (including two picky teenagers) LOVED our time in Dublin with Eamon. We did two tours with Eamon--the Dublin kickstarter tour and the day trip to Howth, both of which were pretty perfect! Eamon was super responsive via messages prior to meeting, and I really appreciated that. Eamon was a fantastic tour guide. He met our family of 5 at our Air B & B and gave us a brief walking tour of Dublin on the way to the train station. From there we took a quick train ride to the beautiful seaside village of Howth. Along the way Eamon shared his vast knowledge of the history of Ireland. Once in Howth we braved cold howling winds from Storm Dennis but that didn't dampen Eamon's spirit and the absolute beauty of the cliff walk. The day was definitley the highlight of our trip. we were supposed to visit the mountains in wicklow but we wanted to change that due to some circumstances. marius instead took us to bray, where our daughters could feed the swans and seagulls. it was wonderful to go there and experience the waterfront as well as the greenery of wicklow. marius was kind, good humoured, and informative with his tour! lovely trip!

We had an unforgettable 3-hour tour of Dublin’s southside with Ruairi, a local tour guide I found from website Withlocals and it was absolutely fantastic! As a true Dubliner, Ruairi brought the city to life with his incredible depth of historical knowledge and engaging storytelling. He made every stop feel meaningful and full of character, from iconic landmarks to hidden gems we never would’ve found on our own. One of the highlights was how he took us off the typical tourist path, visiting a beloved local pub The Ha'Penny Bridge Inn where my son Ruairi pulled his first Guinness, a gorgeous local artwork shop called Jam Art Factory, and Sweny’s Pharmacy a charming non-for-profit bookshop and beautifully preserved old pharmacy made famous by James Joyce. Each stop felt like a little window into Dublin’s heart and soul. Ruairi also shared some brilliant foodie tips that we took full advantage of, so many delicious discoveries! One was definitely Murphys Ice Cream! His passion for the city was infectious, and by the end of the tour, we felt like we’d explored Dublin with a good friend who knows all the best secrets. Eamon met us promptly and delivered an excellent tour on what turned out to be a very windy and cold day in Dublin. It's one thing to read about history and quite another to stand by pillars with chunks knocked out while someone points to the spot in the river from where boats were blasting at them! In addition to history nerdery, we learned about the habits and traditions of Trinity students, the status of seagulls (I would never have guessed they're struggling based on their cheekiness), and where to find traditional music.
