While waiting for train to Howth , Kate asked us what we each were looking for in the tour. My husband loves history and I enjoy architecture and gardening. Kate made sure to include those items and more. I am hearing impaired and I had no trouble hearing or understanding her. Our tour was very fun and we learned a great deal. She was very attentive and caring about us as we walked along. Before leaving at the end of the tour, she let us know about some very good restaurants in the area, which we took full advantage of. Finally, Kate invited us to text or email her with any questions for the remainder of our time in Ireland. Exploring Howth with Kate was delightful.

We wanted a day outside of Dublin and had a wonderful trip to Howth with Eamon. He met us at our hotel and started filling us in on some of the history of the buildings we were passing and of Ireland as we walked to the train station. Our time in Howth was spent mostly on the hiking trail that goes along the coastline - beautiful! Eamon is very engaging and knowledgeable and will provide the experience you want. We booked Ruairi with just a days notice! He messaged us right away that our Howth day trip would be less than ideal in the rain. On very short notice he came up with a great tour of Malahide castle. We spent the morning exploring the castle and the gardens. He taught us a ton about Irish history and answered all our questions. In the afternoon he showed us around Dublin and we ended the day with the best toastie & pint of our trip. Absolutely amazing. Eamon was a fantastic tour guide. He met our family of 5 at our Air B & B and gave us a brief walking tour of Dublin on the way to the train station. From there we took a quick train ride to the beautiful seaside village of Howth. Along the way Eamon shared his vast knowledge of the history of Ireland. Once in Howth we braved cold howling winds from Storm Dennis but that didn't dampen Eamon's spirit and the absolute beauty of the cliff walk. The day was definitley the highlight of our trip. Our family of five (three teenagers) booked Ruairi after reading his reviews, and the tour did not disappoint. Ruairi is a lifelong Dubliner and has extensive contextual knowledge of Dublin’s ancient and recent history. Not only did we visit and learn about major landmarks and events, Ruairi also shared stories and history that you’ll never read in any textbook. He has an excellent sense of humor and we laughed a lot. Ruairi also shared stories that kept our teenagers interested and even pointed out several shops/restaurants frequently by the rich and famous. Many of the shop keepers along the tour know Ruairi and it gave the tour an authentic personal touch. I can’t share all the highlights because we promised Ruairi we wouldn’t share any spoilers, but you will get a unique and special experience in Dublin on his tour. 10/10. So happy we booked this food tour with Ruari! We enjoy doing a food tour to literally get a taste of the city and Ruari delivered an exceptional experience. We had some must see places on our list that I doubt we would have had time to find on our own and thanks to Ruari we actually got to visit them.
