Zusammen sind wir morgens vom Hotel in Negombo nach Kandy aufgebrochen. Schon auf der Fahrt gab es viel zu entdecken und die ein oder andere Überraschung von Deegoda. Es war ein erfüllter Tag mit schönen Gespräche, vielen Eindrücken und Erlebnissen. Am Abend hat uns der Fahrer trotz schwieriger Wetterverhältnisse wohlbehütet in unser Hotel nach Mirissa gebracht. A few hours after Dulshan picked me and my two children (11 & 13) up at the airport and had dropped us off at our hotel for a hearty breakfast and a rest before starting our discovery of the city, Colombo was hit by a wave of explosions. Dulshan contacted me immediately, came back to our hotel which was situated close to the events (and a potential target itself) to discuss our options. Should we leave the city at once or better stay put at the moment. Dulshan was calm, realistic and caring. I decided to stay at the hotel for the night and sent Dulshan home to check on his family. We stayed in touch the entire evening and agreed that he would come back to the hotel the next morning once the curfew was lifted to get us out of the city to a hotel on the south coast. We ended up changing our plans entirely and I am sad to say that we havent been able to discover this beautiful country like we intended but Dulshan stayed around and we did a few short excursions close to the hotel. So... I do not know exactly how knowledgable Dulshan is about temples and ancient culture, but I can testify to his professionalism as a guide and his trustworthiness as a human-being. Besides.. with Dulshan you know you are not only in good hands, you are also in good company. He is kind and joyful - and I am sure we would have had many more laughs if the situation had been slightly different. In any case, I would definitely recommend him as a guide. Yesterday I went on a one day tour of Kandy with Priyantha. We visited a tea plantation, elephant orphanage and botanical garden. Unfortunately due to the situation happening in Sri Lanka, there was a lot of panic around and many sites were forced to close early. Having said that, I totally recommend Priyantha as a tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and explained a great deal about Sri Lanka to me. He is a really nice man and guide and I would definitely recommend him as a guide if you come to Sri Lanka. Kandy Tour

Literally best driver, he driving is calm and easy going after 2 weeks of crazy drivers hhh his driving was so calm I managed to sleep on the way, he will explain about anything you ask and more, he asked us to bring his wife with him and we said yes it was so amazing they’re cute couple and he had someone to take to all the journey as well, we booked the elephant orphanage trip with him and he was so great that we personalize our trip and even after we agreed on everything we change our plans on the same day we decided to stay much longer in the orphanage and to cancel rhe tea factory and the forest, and we didn’t regret it, because we had the chance to feed the elephant and have luch over looking on the elephant in the river and after we bathed the elephant, and after we went to kandy. Amazing day Thnx you very much Best driver ever

If you thinking about booking then there's no need just go ahead and do it. I was thinking the same and it turned out being one of the best experiences of my life. I've extensively travelled the world but having Dulshan as my guide (I use guide loosely as it was more like exploring with your friend). Right from the pick up until the drop off in the evening it was special. Mixing culture, food, sites, nature, elephants, markets, rain forests, hidden gems in the places we visited that only a local may know. The trip was very flexible catering for eveything I would of liked to see, explore etc. When I return I will have no hesitation on giving Dulshan a message to organise another trip. Dulshan ist einfach super, wir wurden pünktlich mit einem Lächeln in der Loby von unseren Hotel empfangen. Dulshan ging wirklich auf unsere Wünsche ein und brachte sogar vorschläge für Planänderungen. Wir waren somit im botanischen Garten was gar nicht Teil der Tour war ohne Aufschlag. Leider haben wir die Abfahrtszeit um 7.30 gewählt, am beste möglichst früh wählen. Wir waren erst um 22.30 zurück. Es war ein sehr intressanter Tag mit vielen Insidertips und wirklich lokalen Speisen (keine Turisten) Dulshan ist mit seiner Energie u d seinem vielen Lachen ein Top Guide und mehr als nur weiterzuempfehlen. Dulshan and I travelled around Sri Lanka for 2 days. He took me where I wanted to go, paid for my entrance fees, made sure I was safe. Took me to lunch and dinner at local places. I went to the Elephant orphange, the Tooth Temple, a Tea factory and more as well, had a super tour of Colombo. Apart from that, we had fun, he is a great guy. Highly recommended.sri lanka my way

Our excursion in Colombo with Dulshan was easily the best of our 5 week trip. Communications were excellent as well as driving skills in the chaotic streets . Dulshan made the effort to plan ahead with us, gathering ideas about our interests and suggesting the best way to spend our time off the cruise ship. We had a nice overview of Colombo and enjoyed getting out of the city for awhile as well. Dulshan was very sensitive to our comfort at all times and was careful to ask if we would be happy having lunch in a very local place. We enjoyed it all. Our visit to the Buddhist temple felt especially personal with Dulshan's guidance. Hopefully we can turn to Sri Lanka for a more extended trip and we would look forward to having Dulshan as our guide. Amazing tour with Dulshan

Dulshan was the perfect host and I would strongly recommend him. When you want a day that feels more like a friend showing you around, and less like a forced tour, consider booking with Dulshan. He went above and beyond to be both flexible with our schedule and needs, while also taking us to places that he personally loves. It was a perfect mix of "touristy" and "local" all at once. From his willingness to let us sleep in a little bit longer than we should have, to the wonderful morning breakfast at his favorite road side shop, everything was fantastic from the very start. He was open, honest, and more than willing to answer all of my ridiculous questions about life in Sri Lanka. Going from Colombo to Kandy seems like a short trip when you look at a map, but it can be 3-4 hours in each direction -- spending time in a car with ANYONE for that long could easily become uncomfortable or stressful, but it was none of those things. He was a safe and competent driver and even pulled off to the side of the road a few times when he could instinctively tell we wanted to check something out. Over the course of the day we were able to see the elephant orphanage (awe inspiring), a tea factory/plantation (delicious), the king's forest (beautiful), Buddha's Tooth Relic Temple (humbling), and also wander around Kandy's market for a bit. It was a FULL day that ended well into the evening, but it was something that we will not soon forget. There is no way we could have seen all of those things if we had been on our own, and Dulshan's guidance and kindness throughout the day made the experience so much more meaningful than we could have imagined. Dulshan helped make our time in Sri Lanka exceed our expectations. Book a day (or a week) with him and you will not be disappointed! great day of exploring

Very disappointing. The host did not meet us as planned, nor did he respond to the messages for over 2 hours. By that time I had reported him to ask for a refund, which blocks the chat. He did offer to meet the next day, however that was the return flight date. The previous day we reported for the tour not realising we had the wrong date. On this day, 22nd June an Agent called Andrea responded. Andrea was excellent when realising we got the date wrong. Sadly on 23rd the agent did not respond. I expect a full refund. Very disappointing - no tour.

I was really looking forward to my food tour based on precious reviews, but unfortunately due to the public holiday for New Year many places were closed. Despite this Priyantha tried to find as many tasting options as possible but we ended up finishing quite early (after starting late) so I was a bit disappointed. I knew booking this as a solo traveller would make it more expensive but it is absolutely not with the price and I wouldn't do this tour again.

priyantha was a great guide! He took me around the local market and the local food stalls and we tried lots of different foods such as spicy pickled fruits, fried foods (like samosa etc), lots of amazing fresh fruits, Sri lankan milkshakes/juices and rice and curry at the end. It was a lot of food so I took some with me which made for a great snack on the train the next day. He was knowledgeable about food and Sri Lankan history and culture in general so it was great to have this to start my 3 week trip. He said now I can have the confidence to go to the local shops and stalls myself around my whole trip and it’s true, it helped me understand more about what is what, and how to order and eat certain foods. The only thing I would say is that because I was on my own it was rather expensive. I understood this before I booked, so it wasn’t a surprise, but I think it is something to bare in mind as the food itself is cheap but you pay for the knowledge and expertise and the experience of getting to understand about the local food. A great way to start my Sri Lankan trip

We couldn't recommend Dulshan enough! He made our trip to Columbo. He's kind, speaks brilliant English and really cares about his job. We did the 10 tastings tour of Colombo with Priyantha. We really enjoyed walking around the central part of the city and trying lots of the different street foods. We also visited the outdoor market, which was a feast for the senses and we tried lots of different fruits. We finished with some rice and curry, biriyani and Kothu roti, which was delicious. Priyantha was very friendly and explained lots of interesting facts about Sri Lanka, Colombo and Sri Lankan food. Friendly, informative, tasty

We had a fantastic Tastings of Colombo: Street Food walk with Priyantha. Was a great way to get to know about local food and to wander the streets and markets of the Pettah area. Priyantha was very knowledgeable and friendly, answering even our non food related questions! I would definitely recommend this tour and Priyantha as your guide of choice.Colombo Street Food

This tour was an excellent way to learn about all the different types of a Sri Lankan food we should eat on our trip. Priyantha is a friendly, genuine and engaging host who takes great pride in his country’s food. For three hours we grazed our way around the streets and markets of Pettah, trying all sorts of different sweet and savoury snacks, as well as Sri Lankan fruits. Priyantha taught us about the different ways Sri Lankans prepare and use various ingredients and explained the importance of different flavours in Sri Lankan cuisine, and he also told us some interesting things about the history of the area. We finished at a typical local restaurant for a delicious lunch of lamprais (rice in banana leaf) and a variety of curries. Priyantha is knowledgeable, passionate and funny - a great combination! I highly recommend this tour if you want to learn about Sri Lankan food. Fantastic intro to Sri Lankan food

We had a fantastic tour with Priyantha. He took us to so many amazing places for the best local food! Curry rice, shrimp and crab cakes, cassava chips, amazing fruit experience and more. Plus his knowledge of Colombo and Sri Lankan history and culture really enhanced the tour. Highly recommended!Excellent local experience

Dulshan ist mehr als nur ein Guide - er ist ein guter Freund, der unseren Urlaub wirklich sehr bereichert hat! Er ist der netteste und herzlichste Mensch den wir auf unserer Rundreise durch Sri Lanka kennenlernen durften! Wir haben seine humorvolle und unterhaltsame Art sehr geschätzt. Als wir noch in Deutschland waren hat er sich schon um all unsere Anliegen gekümmert - er hat uns bereits Zugtickets gekauft für die Reise nach Ella und war bei der Routenplanung immer offen und ehrlich. Auf unserem Flug ging leider unser Gepäck verloren - auch hier hat uns Dulshan sehr geholfen, indem er mehrmals täglich beim Flughafen angerufen hat. Letztendlich hatten wir unser Gepäck schon nach 3 Tagen wieder. Besonders gut hat uns gefallen, dass er uns nicht zu überlaufenen Touristenspots gefahren hat sondern uns die einheimische Kultur näher gebracht hat. In diesem Zusammenhang ist auch zu erwähnen, dass wir dank Dulshan einige kulinarische Highlights erleben durften, die wir alleine niemals gefunden hätten. Wir hatten wirklich ein Rundum-Sorglos Paket mit ihm - er hat uns sogar spät abends nochmal in der Unterkunft abgeholt und uns ins Restaurant gefahren, da es geregnet hat. Er war wirklich Tag und Nacht für uns erreichbar, immer sehr zuvorkommend und stets pünktlich! Mit Dulshan hat man nicht nur einen super Guide an seiner Seite, sondern auch einen sehr talentierten Fotografen - dank ihm haben wir jede Menge tolle Erinnerungsfotos. Außerdem hat er alle Touren für uns organisiert und das stets zu einem günstigeren Preis wie andere Anbieter. Neben der wunderschönen Insel Sri Lanka durften wir auch noch seine Familie kennenlernen - auch das war ein absolutes Highlight unserer Reise! Wir haben uns während unserer Rundreise sehr wohl gefühlt mit ihm und freuen uns ihn bei unserem nächsten Urlaub wiederzusehen! Danke Dulshan, es hat uns sehr viel Spaß gemacht mit dir!Danke Dulshan!
