Betty was a perfect companion for a day of touring around Potsdam. She was knowledgeable of local history and made sure to fill every minute with engaging conversation. I appreciated her flexibility when I wanted to explore two locations that caught my attention along the way, two short side quests. She even handled the train tickets, giving me a chance to observe how to use the rail system. We easily coordinated our meeting spot and itinerary via the app's chat feature. Spent a wonderful day with Seth visiting the house where the Wannsee Conference was held, then we went to see the KGB Prison at Leistikowstraße, and finally walked through Potsdam, visiting the Dutch Quarter, having lunch and hearing great stories about WW2 and the Cold War. Seth helped us plan our day and set our itinerary around what we suggested and then made his own recommendations so the logistics of our travels made sense. Really enjoyed our tour with Tiago. He was lovely and very knowledgeable. We did however, feel that it ended rather abruptly and we weren't informed that we were walking back to the station. 40 plus minutes of travelling to and from Potsdam cut into the 4 hours allocated plus we finished with half an hour to spare. It would perhaps be better to meet at Potsdam thus allowing more time for the tour. It would also have been nice to have had the opportunity to stop for refreshments or even been told that the tour was close to finishing so that we could have perhaps decided to stay in Potsdam to have lunch or a drink.Informative tour

I have been to Berlin a few times before but now I had the time to explore the city a little more. I booked the Gems of Potsdam Tour with Miha and - due to a public transportation strike - we quickly decided to do a Gems of Berlin Mitte Tour :-) Miha is very open and it has been so easy to start a conversation with him. You can tell from the first minute that he loves Berlin and loves what he is doing. He tailored the 'improvised' tour exactly to my taste. Betty was just incredible! I would say our trip to Potsdam was easily the most fun & memorable of our eight days in Berlin because of her. She has a great sense of humor, is very lively, enthusiastic, flexible, and very, very knowledgeable. I found her to be a natural story-teller, bringing to life such characters as Frederick the Great and his father and the uniting of Germany so as to help make sense of everything we were seeing around us. She could point things out about the art, architecture, sculpture, and layout of the city around us, how it came to be, the thinking behind it, how it was impacted by the war. This was only topped, perhaps, by her insightful, loving, and sometimes wry perspectives on Berlin itself as we traveled by train to and from Potsdam; I learned more from Betty's thoughts and observations about Berlin and what has made it what it is today in a few short hours than I did in all the rest of our time there. The only drawback was that she seemed over excited about doing the tour that she spoke quite loudly and very quickly without a break which got a bit tiresome over three hours. We did a WW2 tour with Miha, with a group including our kids (9, 13), and in-laws (70's), and everyone had a great time. We got an amazing introduction and overview to all of Berlin, but the best was the personal stories and getting to know Miha. Seth met us at our hotel in Berlin and took us all the way to the camp and back. We were a family of 6 with 2 grandchildren, 2 parents and 2 grandparents. Seth set a pace that worked for all of us and helped us all understand what we were seeing. He was knowledgeable about the whole camp system and that helped us gain a broader perspective. He adjusted timing when it rained and made sure we had time for a quick lunch before boarding the train back to Berlin. He saw us all the way to the hotel before departing. We spent two hours with Miha as he took us on a walking tour of Berlin and into The Reichstag. Unlike other tour guides we’ve had in the past, Miha stayed with us, listening along to the audio tour and adding additional information and context to what was on the recording. He was also generous with answers about his family’s experiences with events in Europe over the last 80 years that really brought the history out of names and dates into the impact it had on people and their descendants.
