Travelled to visit chateaux in the Loire Valley by metro, fast train and car with Anukool. Although this is a long day, I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations which helped the travel time fly by. Anukool shared his passion for travel as well as his knowledge of history, the Loire Valley and Paris. As a single traveller, I appreciate a guide who can customize a tour to suit my travel style. We visited three chateaux as planned, touring the interiors of two and the exterior and grounds of a third. We also fit in time to view a fourth chateau. Anukool was a wealth of information and knowledge both of the things on this tour as well as a multitude of other places, countries as he has done quite a bit of travel. It was a bit disappointing that we had to buy our tickets for the inside of Chenonceau, for the amount the tour cost and based on past experiences entry tickets are usually included in tour prices. We had great visits to Chenonceau and Cheverny. Our only complaint was that it didn't seem he did this trip that often and didn't do his homework and know about a big cycling race that was happening in one of the towns we were supposed to visit and what times restaurants close during the day as it was a challenge to find somewhere to eat lunch. Also his driving skills were not that great and at times didn't feel 100% safe. We took the train to Tours and then he drove a rental car to the Chateaus. Overall a nice day and good toursGreat Day Trip

Giedre provided the best tour I have ever had. My experience in the past included group tours only. The custom feature of Withlocals made a monstrous difference. I took my 15 year old granddaughter to Paris. It was only the three of us for the entire 3 hour tour. Giedre is also a personal stylist which my granddaughter was thrilled to have! At our request she guided us to clothes and perfume shopping. She also provided historical information on Paris. Giedre (who goes by Iza) was great! We arrived jet-lagged and bleary-eyed and she immediately adapted her tour to accommodate our needs, waiting while we got coffee, shortening the walking distance, and taking it slow for us. Yet she was still able to give us a ton of great information and we learned so much from her! It felt great to have a personalized tour and be able to ask her anything we wanted. I did not know what to expect on booking our walk in the evening in Paris. We started in an area I was not familiar with. Izabele was there at the start point. She was enchanting, and engaging. SHe walked us about for three hours showing us iconic spots and those not so well known.She shared with us stories about her life in Paris . We booked a last-minute cycling tour—just about an hour and a half before the start—and couldn’t have been more excited. We asked to skip the usual tourist spots and see some of the more local, off-the-beaten-path areas. Zyggy totally got it and quickly customized the route for us. We rode along the Seine, past the Louvre, through the Marais, Île Saint-Louis, past Notre-Dame, and into the beautiful streets of Saint-Germain. Midway through, we took a quick break at a cozy little café for a much-needed coffee. The ride was a blast—we’re both super comfortable on e-bikes, and it was such a fun way to explore the city. Zyggy also gave us some great local restaurant tips and even made a reservation for us that night. It really felt like we got the true Paris local experience. Alexia took our family on an incredible food tour. She really took the time to explain the food culture and history of the Strasbourg-St.Denis neighborhood; it was wonderful and I felt like we really got to learn so much about the city. It would be difficult not to connect with Giedre. You'll delight in her joy of Paris' many hidden spots. More than once on the tour, we ducked from the busy main road into a magical courtyard the hurried passers-by missed entirely. Some of them, seeing her, did the same. They always had an expression of wonder that said, "I never knew this was here!" All our cares were gone, as we knew we were in good hands. Jerome is very friendly and a very interesting person. He has great skills which add to the amazing tour he gave us. We tried food we would have tried that is local and visited a restaurant which is not touristy but has amazing atmosphere. Most of all he told us history facts that we did not know and had us laughing by the end when we sat for drinks at a beautiful spot with all his travel stories. This was our first time booking withlocals! I went with my intuition and booked with Anukool and I'm so happy I did. I saw that he had a love a history and so does my Husband. What I didn't know was that he also has a fashion degree which comes with its own history and is perfect for Paris! He was able to keep the attention of my Husband and my three teen girls. He even went out of his way to help us navigate the Paris Metro system, helping us buy our tickets to Versailles and Disney Paris. He suggested buying our return tickets at the same time so we didn't wait in a line when returning. Anakool has so much to offer with his world traveling, fashion background and his love of history. Friends who had recently been to Paris recommended Withlocals, and after looking through all the guides we decided to go with Giedre. She was excellent! She was waiting for us at the designated spot with a smile on her face, and spent just over 3 hours taking us on a personal walking tour through Paris, with some stops along the way to for some quick shopping or to grab a drink at our request. Her knowledge and passion about the history and architecture of Paris was apparent from the start, and she had a great ability to share the history and stories of all the places we passed in such an interesting way and answer our questions. It was really fun exploring Paris with a local, and she was full of helpful little tidbits of information, like when we took the Metro together to one spot she told us to make sure our pockets were zipped and our bags were held close because of pickpocketing, or took us to a street with an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower that tourists don't frequent but where the locals like to go. She also shared some of her own personal recommendations for areas to visit, restaurants she loves, good places to buy posters or grab a cafe latte. She curated the tour a bit based on some of the things we wanted to see and do, and at the end dropped us off at an amazing cafe that won the award for the best croissants in Paris in 2023 where we had an incredible lunch. I would highly recommend Withlocals for an elevated experience touring Paris, and if you do a walking tour, you can't go wrong with Giedre. She's absolutely lovely and delightful and is sure to make your tour a wonderful afternoon in Paris. Amazing guide and experience

I feel awful giving a negative review, but I wish I had come across more critical reviews of this tour. All three people in my party were really disappointed with this tour. To give credit, Anukool was flexible and allowed for us to move along to the next spot if we weren't interested or extend if we wanted to stay longer in an area. He was *very* flexible. The stops on this tour were mediocre at best. We arrived hungry and the tour began with an overly sweet dessert from a popular chain, then we went to a quiche our guide bought at a window and we ate outside in the rain, and next was oysters. It didn't feel well thought-out regarding order of food and the quality was subpar. Furthermore, we expected to meet a local with a bubbly personality who may customize based on who we were and what we were interested in. Our guide was an expat who talked about the history and asked few questions. He was really knowledgeable, but for us, the tour fell flat. We really liked the area. Ultimately, we wanted to be captivated by our tour guide, have a generous amount of curiosity sparked on our end, and leave feeling like we ate foods we wouldn't have found on our own. Honestly, we expected a more for the money
