Brahim has a wonderful human quality. As a Berber, he’s a perfect example of kindness, generosity, simplicity and joy of life. He constantly payed attention to our confort and wellbeing, and he adapted to our preferences completely. He speaks several languages including Spanish and is a great photographer! His colleague and driver was the perfect companion, we liked him very much too. We forgot our glasses in the car and Brahim came back to our hotel in person to give them to us. El viaje con Brahim fue muy agradable. Fue muy puntual y estuvo muy atento los días previos a la salida por si queríamos personalizar la excursión. De hecho, nos pasó el itinerario previamente. Nosotras le pedimos parar en una cooperativa de mujeres para comprar aceite de argán. We really enjoyed our 5 tastings evening with Omar. He is an easy going, charming young man who we liked a lot! And his English is so good! We also liked that he took us tasting stuff that wasn't obvious and really enjoyed his selection and advise. For our teenage son it was also fun with a guide that was a bit closer in age than his parents. Omar could not make our booking and sent Rachid instead. Unfortunately Rachid’s driving was not relaxing at all as he felt the need to drive right up to the back of every car in front of us, and overtake when questionable space. The walk and lunch in the mountains with Omar the guide was excellent and so we thoroughly enjoyed being in the Atlas Mountains. I would recommend the trip but cannot comment on Omar. We had a wonderful introduction to Marrakech with Omar. He's very kind, knowledgeable, and happily answered all of our questions. He was wonderful with our 10 year old and made sure she was also enjoying the experience and learning things. His tour is a really good mix of making sure we saw the things that "tourists should see" as well as taking us off the beaten path. We saw areas of the Medina that we never would have found on our own (and probably couldn't find again if we tried!) What a great experience we had with Hassan today! My husband and I enjoyed a very authentic tour of the Medina that allowed us to see a ‘local’ perspective that we would never have seen on our own. This private experience is well worth the money - Hassan is incredibly generous with his knowledge and with his showcasing of the local cultures within the Medina. While we went to many local artisan shops where we could purchase goods, we never felt any pressure to do so. However many of the shops were in support of local co-operatives; so while similar goods could be found in the ‘tourist’ souks, the quality and craftsmanship of the local artisans was readily apparent. Highly recommend Hassan for his knowledge, style of guiding, and his warm and friendly attitude. Excellent local experience

A perfect day. Omar is a superb guide and a lovely, sweet guy. We had great communications before the day, with Omar always responding to our questions quickly and fully. He even checked what sort of activities/experiences we would most want included in our day (and he fully accepted our request for no shopping!)....and if we had any food requirements. He picked us up at the hotel spot on time, explained the day he'd planned including timings and then off we went in his very comfortable car. We stopped at some lovely villages, viewpoints etc until hooking up with his colleague (another Omar) who would guide us on our walk. Fabulous walk, just the three of us mountain paths, eventually arriving at the large, impressive waterfalls. (There were a lot of people at the falls who had walked along the main, tourist thoroughfare in large groups). We enjoyed the waterfalls but were pleased when Omar took us back to the quiet paths on to a Berber House for lunch. This was a fabulous spot, traditional house with amazing views from the terrace where we ate....and what an awesome meal!!! Then we opted to continue walking for around another half hour. Omar the walking guide was included in the tour cost but we did of course tip him..... such a lovely guy! Then the drive back to the hotel stopping occasionally at viewpoints, villages etc. A truly wonderful day made prefect by Omar.....amd Omar! We would score this 11 hearts if possible!Superb day with Omar

Hassan was a great guide - you won't go wrong in booking him! Although I had another tour the night before, that drug me through the souks, Hassan understood that I wanted a slower, more thorough look and did not simply repeat the prior tour of highlights. This wasn't a "see everything" approach but he gave me a more local, expert experience. He showed me some behind-the-scenes and took me off the beaten track. Although he did take me to his favorite vendors, he was okay that I didn't purchase a rug or some shoes and told me several times that he just wanted to show me the real artisan made stuff and not the lower quality. But...then...I found myself in a store with an antique teapot and my wallet opened. He was good, at that point, to help me negotiate a better price than I would have done myself. I felt comfortable, his English was great, his pace was good, and I'd totally recommend him! A personal, local experience

Top tip if you are on the tour while children are out of school bring a long a couple deflated soccer balls for the local less fortunate kids who, in a cute manner, try to block the mountain roads for sweets or soccer balls. Omar gave us an unforgettable experience on our private trip to the Atlas Mountains. He ensured a smooth and safe journey in a private van and his friend (another Omar) guided us on a scenic hike, followed by a lovely meal with views of the snowy peaks. We also visited a Berber market, rode camels at sunset, and enjoyed a luxury desert dinner he helped arrange. Omar even went the extra mile to organise a birthday cake for my parents birthday upon request, which we truly appreciated. Mohamed was very nice and smiley and speaks multiple languages. He started the tour off with some insights into Morocco and Marrakesh in old medina which was interesting. We also saw a lot of the souks and the metal part of Marrakesh was our favourite part, however after being taken to lots of touristy shops which were very expensive we got a bit annoyed. We were taken to a shop where they sell spices and the total was €80, we only bought a few bags of 100g. Other shops were selling spices for 1/3 or even 1/2 the price. We were offered towards the end of the tour to taste some olives, which isn’t really food as most of the group didn’t eat olives. Even though the tour ad mentioned food, olives weren’t what we were expecting after travelling all morning and day. Overall he was kind and friendly, but the shops he will take you to are very expensive and almost felt like a tourist trap. I think for what we payed he could have told us more about how things were made/history behind what we saw.Friendly but a took us to expensive shops

We booked a souk shopping tour with Hassan and had communicated with him before booking it (to understand what the tour would entail as we had specific shopping needs). Two days before the tour we received a note from Hassan asking for our hotel details for pickup. On the morning of the tour, another man- not Hassan- came to collect us. He told us Hassan had an issue and couldn't make the tour. Things happen, we accepted it. It became clear that there had been almost no communication between Hassan and this other guide. The tour did take us to some stores but for the most part was way less shopping and more sightseeing. However we didn't get a whole not of information and details, just random bits of info. If it had been a sightseeing tour filled with facts and stories we wouldve been annoyed that it wasn't shopping, but at least we would've learned something. In this case, it was n either. I will say the guide was a very nice man though and did try to give us what we wanted but just wasn't prepared or equipped to. When we got dropped back at our riad, we gave him a tip which his mistook as payment for the tour and told us it was too little. Turns out, no one had communicated with him that the tour had been paid for (by the way charged 40% more than what the local going rate is) and we had an awkward five minutes trying to convince him we weren't trying to rip him off. It got sorted but it was a unfortunate end to an already disappointing day. He also mentioned that Hassan had told him a few days ago that he wasn't doing the tour which means when Hassan emailed us for address, he already knew and didn't communicate it. Not what we were expecting

Out trip with Omar was the highlight of our visit to Marrakech Omar collected us and we went straight to the Ourika valley and met our guide who hiked us up to see the waterfalls . He was also excellent and explained all about the area and his way of life there . We were very excited to go visit the souks in Marrakesh so we booked a guided tour. Our guide was Mohamed. He met us promptly at our designated meeting point. Mohamed was very friendly, very well spoken with perfect English & excellent company so we knew we were in good hands. He took us first on a tour outside the Mosque explaining all of its history which was very interesting. Then onto the souks where Mohamed told us all about the Arabic culture & life in Marrakesh & had very interesting g stories. Then Mohamed brought us for Tea around the medina & showed us his tea pouring skills while telling us more interesting stories. Then we were ready for dinner so he showed us a wonderful restraint that we loved which we will now book for New Years Eve. When we finished dinner he escorted us in our taxi back to our hotel outside the city & by the end of the few hours that we spent with him we felt we had made a new best friend. We would highly recommend Mohamed for anyone looking for a great tour with a fun, relaxed easy going guide.Fantastic Guide !!!
