More than 30 years ago, I began showing travelers the beauty of the Netherlands — and I’ve never stopped. Over the decades, I’ve guided people from all over the world through windmill-dotted landscapes, vibrant flower fields, and cities filled with history and modern energy.
One of the places I return to again and again — and never tire of — is the Zaanse Schans, where traditional windmills still turn in the breeze, just as they did centuries ago. And every spring, for just eight magical weeks, I bring visitors to the Keukenhof Gardens, where millions of tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths burst into bloom. It's truly a celebration of color and life.
Throughout the year, I offer my favorite experience: the Grand Holland Tour — a one-day journey through the heart of the country. We explore four iconic cities: Amsterdam, with its canals and energy; Rotterdam, bold and modern; The Hague, our seat of government and royalty; and Delft, famous for its delicate blue pottery and timeless charm.
But this tour is more than just a checklist of places. With my background in Sociology, I love helping guests understand the deeper layers of Dutch life — how our monarchy and democracy coexist, how we’re navigating the energy transition, and what makes daily life in the Netherlands unique. I also share stories about the Dutch Golden Age, and how our windmills once powered a revolution in labor and industry.
As a licensed driver, I can comfortably transport you — whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with a larger group. I even have options ranging from private cars to luxury coaches. And if you're someone who loves photography, you're in luck — I’m also a professional photographer, happy to help you capture iconic moments in the most scenic places.
Throughout the tour, I welcome your questions — about our politics, customs, everyday routines, or even our quirkiest habits. And I always sprinkle in plenty of anecdotes and humor, to make sure there's something for everyone — young or old.
So if you're curious about this country of wind, water, art, and ideas — I’d love to be your guide.
