Let me begin by saying that our guide Marty was fabulous. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and a lot of fun to be with. I also would preference this review by acknowledging that I knew we were going on a Sunday night and the choices may be somewhat limited. In all fairness, that point was not brought up by with locals.com during the booking process. Also, we had a medical emergency that caused us to be about 25 minutes late. That was beyond our control. In short, would I pay another US$771 for four people to do this again? The short answer is no. I’ve lost my trust in the with locals organization. A previous tour that I took in Belgium, using this with locals.com was as advertised and fantastic. This food and drink tours of Glasgow, in my opinion was over embellished on the website and stretched the truth of what was ultimately provided. It would’ve been helpful if Gordon would let us know that we were assigned to Marty. He knew that ahead of time. I would say that Gordon is not the most communicative guy that I worked with. We let him know that we were running late due to a medical emergency, (someone in our party was injured at a castle and had to go to the hospital) thinking he was our guide. He did not acknowledge my communications to him that we were running late. And he also didn’t let me know that he wasn’t the guide. The advertisement talks about food and drinks. It talks about “this tour includes Ten food and drink tastings“. For food was a nice slice of pizza, some chicken wings, and a great pub. Oh, and it turns out that it doesn’t include any alcoholic beverages. Just a can of the local Iron BRU soda? For US$771 they don’t even buy you a beer? Again this is not on Marty. It’s all on with locals.com that is supposed to provide oversight and on Gordon as the Tours operator. Except for the one pub food stop you can get pizza and wings anywhere. On the website under area highlights, it says “from food, drinks, must seize and local hotspots, this tour has everything on the menu!” Again that’s a real stretch. It is the truth, but in my opinion, just barely. In the photo section of “what you can expect, they show a man and woman looking at liquid in a glass that would lead you to believe that it’s scotch or whiskey. And it very well could be, but just remember they don’t pay for any of the alcoholic drinks. Lastly, they talk about the tour can be 100% customized to your food wishes. , Looking back, it would have been helpful for them to tell you exactly what food is included in the first place. And be very clear when they say food and drinks that they tell you it does not include any alcohol alcoholic beverages just a can of iron brew soda. After this experience, I will not be looking at with locals.com for tours or guides in the future. Thank you again, Marty, but I have lost my trust in with locals.com. A lot of sizzle, but not much steak

Great fun and highly informative. A great way to understand the history of Glasgow - much more about the stories rather than specific buildings/statues.a walk round glasgow with Gordon
