Karlis is an extremely warm and knowledgeable guide about Oslo and the food scene. He is so adaptable to what you really want to experience in food. My husband wanted to try traditional local game meats and Karlis took us to a high end food emporium for a local traditional meat experience of reindeer stew and moose burgers. He also exposed us to the local traditional spirits and plenty of local beers. Great person to talk to regarding the culture and people living in and around Oslo. Don’t expect a lot of very traditional Norwegian food because they enjoy Indian, Italian and Tacos. Highly recommend.A great way to experience Oslo

We have not used WithLocals before for booking guides etc. the process was smooth and communication with Karlis from beginning to end was excellent. Karlis was well prepared and made reservations at the various establishments we would visit. Everywhere we went was fantastic - he made excellent choices and selections for us. Whoever says Norwegians are cold hasn’t met Karlis, he was right on time, came right to our hotel and brought us coffees ! He even started the tour a whole hour earlier to show us some sites around the city. He custom tailors each tour depending on what you want to eat and leaves a direct line open if you have any questions about anything Oslo after you part ways with him. He wrote down restaurants and sites for us and even brought us a tourist map. When you calculate how much the food costs and how much he has to give to the website you find that the tour is positively cheap. We spent 4+ hours with him and were sorry when we had to part ways. Highly recommend ! Spend your day with Karlis!

We appreciate so much when we get to enjoy a host like Michal! He was effectively communicative leading up to our tour and he went ABOVE and BEYOND to provide us with so much more than we expected! Some of the things we ate were genuinely some of the best foods we’ve had in our lives! My advice to his future groups, let him know if you don’t eat seafood. Fortunately, we are adventurous eaters and we love seafood, which is abundant in Norway. Anyway, thank you Michal! my wife and I had a great time being shown around oslo and eating wonderful food. karlis was a brilliant host who looked after us very well and even gave suggestions for further things to do during our day in oslo when tour finished. Sadly he could not prevent the thunderstorm later in the day. well you can't do everything. Would highly recommend
