We did the 10 tastings of Barcelona with Elvira. As a family of four ( 2 adults and 2 kids (10 and 13), we had very different preferences for food. She adjusted quickly and made sure we had a great tour. As it was our first day in Barcelona, and we were very jet-lagged, we were not as hungry as we should have been for such a tour, so she quickly pivoted and included some walking and historic tour of the City. She was very knowledgeable. She was very generous with her time, and made sure everyone had a good time. I highly recommend!Super flexible and great with kids!

What an amazing experience! I can't even just call it a tour, it was definitely an experience! Alan was amazing and really went above and beyond! We ate so much delicious food, trying things we hadn't yet as well. He picked great places to stop. Drink recommendations to pair with our food was great as well. Now comes the best part...Alan our guide, friend, host, teacher... He was AMAZING! So much knowledge shared in such a wonderful way! To say he went above and beyond is an understatement! He showed us so much. You could tell he loved being there sharing his knowledge of the beautiful city of Barcelona as much as we did! Elvira was patient as we got lost and were running behind and greatly appreciate her flexibility! Elvira provided our family (2 teenagers and 2 adults) with a great tour of the Gothic Quarter and El Born. Well, in a nutshell Alan was an awesome guide! He really took the time to personalize our fun filled day of sightseeing in Barcelona, which included a few tastings along the way. He was on time and we promptly took off on foot and used the metro when necessary for our tour. We covered quite a bit of territory with perfectly timed stops at various locations around Barcelona including La Sagrada Familia. Very educational and the Alan really knew his history and answered all our questions which was awesome. Alan also did an amazing job of teaching us about some of the history of Barcelona, Gaudí and how they came to be what they are today. The stops we made were great and we were so full at the end of the tour we had to say no to the churros! We had the best day with Elvira - she was so accommodating and knowledgeable. She took us to the usual parts of the Abby but also to the newly opened museum that no one seemed to know about - it was like a private showing! From the Abby to the winery she took us on back roads so we could see more of the areas natural beauty. The winery was fantastic - small, intimate with amazing Catalonian wine. When travelling with my 80 year old parents and 15 year old son I wanted to have a guide to show us Monserrat. Alan was perfect! As soon and he met us outside the hotel we all felt comfortable and knew we were in very good hands. Alan had the day trip planned flawlessly… we took the train and cable car up the mountain which allowed us the enjoy the amazing scenery. We then took the rack train down the mountain, which was wonderful as we experienced both ways. Alan’s vast and detailed knowledge explained the history and present day importance of this majestic place. He also helped us to make sense of other pieces of related history that I didn’t quite understand and how they play a roll in shaping the present. With his intelligence, warm personality and humour the day went by to fast! He was able to engage my parents as well as a teenager!! We loved our time with Alan and I confidently recommend him 110%! Our family of three booked with Alan for the Ten Tastings of Barcelona tour. Walking around the market, visiting tapas bars and finishing at a churros cafe, was such a delight with Alan, who quickly became like a member of our family. We visited Barcelona with our son, who is about the same age as Alan. Alan engaged with every one of us and took an interest in our individual likes. He was so accommodating! Elvira coordinated our arrival at Montserrat to make it as easy as possible. She then gave us valuable insight into the Abbey’s history before walking us through the excellent museum. What an AMAZING tour of Barcelona! Not only was Elvira knowledgeable and friendly, but also so accommodating to me and my family that included 3 annoying kids!
