Our family chose the ‘City Explorer: Obidos, Batalha, Alcobaça & Nazaré’ day trip and had a wonderful time visiting multiple sites with Stasea. All locations were extremely diverse and offered a little bit of everything. I highly recommend doing a guided tour to these locations as they are far distances from Lisboa. Stasea was extremely knowledgeable of the history, patient, kind, and also a great driver. The ages of our group ranged from 7-65 years old and everyone had a good time! I highly recommend choosing this tour if you have additional days in Lisboa and want to see different areas of the country. Great day visiting multiple sites!

Had a great visit with Tiago to Fatima and Obidos in July 2025....He was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and very kind throughout the day-long journey. As a visitor with some existing background knowledge of Portugal in advance of our travel, I was grateful that Tiago went beyond explaining the "what" of what we were seeing and dove deeper into exploring the "why" from a historical and cultural perspective. This was our first time ever traveling with a personal tour guide, and we were a little apprehensive that we would feel rushed and/or simply received a "pre-packaged" experience....not the case with Tiago! He tailored the day to our very specific interests, and the whole experience felt extremely relaxed and personal....we'd recommend him without hesitation!!! Great Experience!

Francisco brought us to some amazing stops. The beaches were gorgeous and there was a good mix of historical information and sites as well. He was thoughtful and kind and let us take our time to take in the beauty of each stop. He found us a local restaurant in a fishing village where we chose our own fish for them to prepare for us. I highly recommend this tour. It was nice to get out of the city.Highly recommend this tour

Luis was such an amazing host. He was courteous and gave us an overview of the itinerary. He made sure the sequence of our itinerary and timings were so we avoided most of the crowds. My husband and I had the most wonderful half day tour with Luis to Sintra this weekend. He is such a nice person, a very good driver, and so knowledgeable. We got so much more out of the tour than we were expecting: a trip to the historical city center of Sintra, a guided tour of the grounds of Quinta Da Regaleira, Cabo da Roca and then the coastal drive to Belem, with stops along the way. You can choose which palace(s) you want to see. We had a great time and we could never have done it on our own in that amount of time. We had such a wonderful day with Tiago. He was a fantastic host and tour guide. We had our 2 year old daughter with us and he was just so wonderful with her. He made our day extra special. The tour was excellent - he was so knowledgeable and took us through the valley for a port tasting and tour, boat trip on the river and we stopped for lunch for some of the best food we had while on this trip. Rita was an amazing guide for our day exploring Sintra! I expressed my dream of seeing Peña Palace and Regaleira in one day. Rita expressed worry about the achievability of this plan, but was willing to try to make it work! We made it work! It was an enjoyable experience, though a bit of a workout! Wear comfy shoes! After touring the beautiful grounds of Peña and Regaleira, Rita took us to a delightful place with beach access for lunch. We had hoped to make it to Cascais as well, but ran out of time. Rita was willing to hang with us as our kids enjoyed the beach. She was engaging with the kids - perhaps because she has two kiddos that are similar aged. The day felt like spending a day with a friend. She shared with us her love for the area, which made the tour a great learning and fun time! Joao was so nice and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Lisbon. We felt like we got to cover the entire city during our tour and had a complete idea of the layout of the city, what each part of the city was like from a local perspective and learned a ton about the Portuguese culture. Joao was interesting, really friendly, and easy to talk to for the several hour tour. We arrived in Lisbon the day before and had been climbing all the hills to get around so when we met Joao and he showed us how to get around with better routes where you didn’t have to hike up all the steep hills, it changed the way we explored the rest of the city during our trip. This was our first time in Portugal, and the day with Lius was one of the best experiences we've had! He communicated with us before the tour and accommodated with a later start and ending due to personal reasons. We never felt rushed. He was highly knowledgeable about the history and the details of everything. He provided history along the way, an added bonus! He also gave us a brief but nice shopping break in Cascais. I cannot imagine this tour without a guide like Lius. He provided us with excellent touring tips for the following day. He is also super fun! This was our 1st time in Portugal and this tour enabled us to see Obidos, Fatima, and then remain in Nazare, our next destination after Lisbon. Our tour guide Luis was absolutely fantastic! He was really fun to travel with and extremely knowledgeable about the history of all places en route! We never felt rushed and had the perfect amount of time at each town. And when we arrived in Nazare, he assisted us in checking in to our next hotel and orienting us to other aspects (restaurants, etc). Again, we chose not to return to Lisbon. Luis did a wonderful job keeping us informed and meeting us in a timely manner. Saw so many churches and beautiful sights, such as the Sao Roque, the Gloria elevator, the Se church, church of St. Dominic, history of the area, the plazas, the people and Porteguese rulers. We passed by so many areas and learned so much! Also had time for a water break, cherry liquor (ginjinha), and custard pastries! It was so worth doing, I highly recommend.wonderful day in Lisbon!

Lisbon was our last stop on our week in Portugal and we definitely saved the best tour for last. Luis was friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable. We ventured to Sintra, Pena Castle, Caiscase and saw some Lovely beaches along the way. Our Full day tour included enough free time to shop and have a great lunch at a restaurant that Luis recommended. Luis arrived on time. Veerle heeft de voorbereiding van ons dagprogramma en de ontmoetingsplek perfect geregeld. Veerle reageerde snel en goed op onze vragen vooraf over bijvoorbeeld tips restaurants. Dat was heel fijn. Veerle was netjes gekleed en we vertrokken op tijd via de trein naar Sintra. Vanaf het begin tot het einde was ons contact met Veerle prettig en relaxed. Veerle is een open mens en oprecht belangstellend. Zij vertelde ons veel waardevols over Portugal, Lissabon, Sintra en de mensen die daar wonen. We hebben een prachtige dag met haar beleefd en we bevelen haar als gids zeker aan. Een eerlijk oordeel geven over de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding vinden we lastig. Een dagtour met een privé gids was voor ons namelijk de 1ste keer. Wat ons hierbij zou helpen is een specificatie van de opbouw van de totaalprijs van 400 euro. Bijvoorbeeld de verhouding tussen de overheadkosten en het salaris van Veerle.Een prettige gids met waardevolle info
