Our day with Valerio was amazing! After meeting at the local fish market, we went to his home on murano to prepare a meal. It was delicious and so fun to feel like a local. Our tour of murano included stops to learn about glass blowing. Our daughter got to make her own glass bead and then we toured a glass showroom which was beautiful. I am a big fan of Inspector Brunetti, the Venetian policeman created by Dona Leon. A friend enthused about the "Brunetti" tour presented by Valerio in Venice. We hired Valerio and embarked on the expensive two hour tour (over two days unfortunately). We walked by five relevant sites and enjoyed espresso at Brunetti's local coffee bar. We spent a couple days with Adair and couldn’t have had a better time! One day was a walking tour of Venice, the other was an island hopping tour. Both were a lot of fun, very informative and got to experience things that I don’t think we could have, had we been on our own. In Venice we took in all the historical attractions as well as experience the local food, the gondole (not gondola!) a spritz! The second day island hopping to Murano, Burano and Mazzorbo. So much fun and each island so different than the other. The behind the scenes at the glass factory, inside look at lace being hand stitched, both were incredible. Adair also helped us by booking transportation, reservations, and gave recommendations, very helpful. Adair was a lot of fun and was really very easy and comfortable to spend that much time with!Great time with Adair!

From there, we traveled to his lovely home in Murano, where he prepared a mouthwatering multi-course meal, perfectly paired with libations for each course. We took the Brunetti tour with Valerio last week. Valerio was very accomodating in adjusting our start time and meeting location. Adair was a fanrtastic support on the day, we had a big issue as our ferry was cancelled so we arrived over an hour late to Venice, on our journey to venice Adair helped replan our afternoon to make sure our children had what they needed and enjoyed their time in Venice. Private taxis (whilst expensive) were defiantly worth it to reduce the stress of getting around on a tight timescale. Adair organised a mask making workshop for our 7 and 4 year olds which was wonderful and exactly what we needed after sitting on a bus for 6 hours! Die Erfahrung Venedig durch einen Einheimischen erklärt zu bekommen, ist einfach eine tolle Erfahrung. Wir haben ihm vorab geschildert, was wir uns von der Tour erwarten und er hat sie im Längen übertroffen. Er konnte alles erklären und ist auch auf alle Fragen eingegangen, die währenddessen aufgekommen sind. Einfach klasse. Die Tour war aufgeteilt in teils touristisch und größtenteils weg vom Tourismus, dies war unser Wunsch und er hat in uns besser als gewollt erfüllt. Wir hatten tolle 2 Stunden und es wird nicht die letzte Tour bei Valerio gewesen sein. Venedig auf andere Weise sehen
