Awesome tour with Sebastian - Grounded history, engaging, started at Gran Teatre del Liceu, went into the Gothic quarter, into the Jewish quarter, sharing the historic significance of each section. He was a great sport as it was pouring and shared a super comprehensive restaurant list and his favorite rock and metal bar. Would definitely take another tour with him next time we're in Barcelona! Alessandro's knowledge of Barcelona's history (and of that of the Mediterranean) spans mediaeval through to present day. He expanded in more detail when asked about particular issues. We walked around the city and he described the past and current function of a variety of places and buildings. Where past infrastructure has been lost, he would describe where it had been, eg the Roman wall. Look 1.5hrs is just not enough. If you are considering a booking, try for a longer tour. A great guide, can't recommend him enough.In the depths of history

Liliia showed us lots of places we would have missed if we hadn’t been looking and was fun and educational. We can’t say enough great things about Jordi and the Kickstart Tour he gave us. We were extremely late for our tour (100% our fault; jet lag got us) and he was nothing but patient and flexible. Upon arrival (again, we were extremely late) he was so friendly and kind. Jordi took us around the area, demonstrating his passion and knowledge for architecture that gave us very interesting insights we wouldn’t have had if we walked around by ourselves. Along the way, he gave great tips on what to do throughout our stay and a few recommendations on restaurants. Had we not had tours previously booked with other tour companies, we would have booked multiple additional tours with Jordi for the remainder of our stay based on how much we enjoyed the first one. A day before arriving in Barcelona, I contacted Federico to schedule a Kickstart tour. Federico was prompt in replying and scheduling, he provided an easy-to-find starting point, and met us right on time. Federico walked us around the Barri Gotic and El Born, and pointed out sights that we would not have found on our own plus he outlined the history of the area and the sights to provide context and add to our understanding and appreciation. He provided helpful suggestions for where to eat and what else to see, and with this information, we found excellent tapas places and enjoyed the baked goods at a noted patisserie. We were a group of six women in Barcelona for a long weekend. We booked this walk for out first say and it was perfect! Federico really took our requests for the walk to heart and personalized the tour touching on local shops, markets, places to eat and drink and interesting history. After a long night and day of travel, meeting Federico for a 1.5 hour kickstart tour was a good way to acquaint ourselves with the city. He was friendly and knowledgeable and had an easy manner providing good recommendations along the way on where to focus some of our time for eating and sightseeing.
