Enjoyable and informative Saturday Tour
We had a very enjoyable tour with Renzo today. We saw 5 lovely plazas and enjoyed his storytelling along the way. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and had a delightful conversation with him in a adorable wine shop. Thanks for the tour and your time Renzo!
We flew into Mendoza from Buenos Aires and looked for a guide to provide us with some orientation and background to Mendoza. OMG, we were thrilled with Renzo, Not only is he fully knowledgeable about the city of Mendoza and the area, but he's an incredible wealth of information about the wine industry, not only Argentina, but world-wide (since he's been everywhere). Thank you, Renzo, for a great afternoon and intro to Mendoza! The Best Intro to Mendoza - Renzo
We did both a city tour and wine tour with Renzo. His knowledge and history of the city was a thorough and entertaining educational experience. English is our native language, Renzo is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish, so there was no problem having in depth discussions regarding wine, local history and his experiences studying abroad as a wine sommelier. Excellent wine and tour guide for Mendoza
Julieta, our tour guide, was amazing! Professional, articulate, friendly and very knowledgeable about Mendoza. We gained tremendous insight about this beautiful place and really appreciated all the historical background Julieta shared with us. Mendoza day tour
Although my wife and I are totally enchanted by the magical city of Mendoza and the warm and friendly people whom live here, truly we found that the “best part of Mendoza,” was the guide herself. I have been doing research on this area for years and somehow Flor’s vast knowledge of the rich history of the city, province and country was unparalleled and filled with interesting tidbits, facts historical accounts that it felt like a master class. Not only that but she was so incredibly friendly and has a great since of humor that she made the whole experience more fun for us than I ever could have imagined. Our time with Flor seemed that it flew by, but provided an experience we can remember for a lifetime. A tour with Flor is an absolute “must do” to get the best of Mendoza. La Mejor Parte de MZA/Best Part of Mendoza
Mendoza was a blank page for me and my wife until Florencia from Withlocals painted it with vibrant stories and local insights. This "kick-starter" tour wasn't just about landmarks, it was about understanding the city's soul. We delved into park relaxation rituals, savored hidden culinary gems, and even enjoyed a friendly "cheers" with Florencia at a local haunt.
By the end, we weren't just tourists, we felt comfortable navigating the city with newfound confidence. Florencia's kindness, knowledge, and captivating storytelling brought Mendoza's history to life. More than a tour guide, she felt like a new friend. If you're looking to go beyond the surface and truly connect with Mendoza, this tour is a must!
Highlights:
Unique perspective: Experience Mendoza like a local, not just a tourist.
Knowledgeable guide: Florencia is a passionate storyteller with deep insights.
Hidden gems: Discover beyond the usual tourist trail.
Comfortable & confident: Feel prepared to explore independently.
Highly recommend for: First-time visitors, couples, history buffs, foodies, and anyone seeking an authentic Mendoza experience.
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars!Mendoza Starter with Florencia: Local Gem!
We were a party of 4 friends and we met our host Renzo in the main square in Mendoza. Renzo had good English and was lovely to talk to, but he was not a proactive guide. We were expecting the guide to give us some history and background to Mendoza food, wine and culture, but unless we asked questions, he was quiet. Our first destination was a pizza bar in the market, where we had some empanadas, beer and pizza slices. We then passed a chocolate shop and had a few pieces of chocolate, finishing at a wine bar for a glass of wine each. By this time, it was just become a conversation between friends in a wine bar. Given what 300usd can get you in Argentina, just to go to a wine bar and pizza bar yourselves and chat to the servers and save yourselves a lot of money rather than paying for this experience Disappointing & very poor value for money
Florencia was warm, welcoming and had lots of interesting facts about the city.
However it was not good value for money - nothing to do with florencia at all but a greatly overpriced experience
Introduction to Mendoza
So we booked last minute with Juliet; just the day before we arrived in Mendoza.
And we asked for some changed in her typical plan; she came through and provided a wonderful experience.
I highly recommend her tours.
Also she was so helpful we are learning. Spanish and she was willing to speak in either language to help us learn.
Juliet wad awesome!!!
An enjoying and informative food tour with Renzo. He adapted the route for us and to include places he thought we would like. We tried a good range of snacks and wine. A very nice relaxed pace. Thank you.Great way to explore Mendoza
We had a great time exploring Mendoza with Julieta. She was vibrant with good energy and good English. We enjoyed her stories about the city and recommendations. We had a great time. Beutiful tour in Mendoza
Julieta was wonderful. Very personable, knowledgeable, and fun. Overall a nice tour. Somewhat unique in that food and wine was picked up at locations, markets, kiosks, and enjoyed sitting among the plazas of Mendoza, hearing about the culture and history. I guess we were expecting to go around (inside) to some bars and small restaurants. But this experience was worthwhile. Julieta was great. A unique experience.
My wife and I recently had a great tour of Mendoza with Renzo. He led us on a comprehensive tour of downtown Mendoza and its parks explaining the history of the city and the significance of the parks. He was engaging and informative. He also included a stop at the market for a local treat and drink. He then helped us get back to our hotel. We would highly recommend this tour.
Michael and CindyGreat Tour of Mendoza
Florencia was too busy so she sent her friend, Lorenzo to fill in. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
Unfortunately, the food options that he selected were very disappointing. We expected food that was unique to the area. Instead, we got coffee, dried nuts, pizza and empanadas, which are pretty much available anywhere.
In addition, Lorenzo was really focused on saving his.money. Several times he mentioned that he didn't want to order too much so we ended up with very small portions to try.
The three hour tour only lasted two hours.
Disappointing
Julieta was a joy to have as our guide. Her knowledge of the city and its history was incredibly impressive. Not only did we get to enjoy local cuisine, we learned a ton about Mendoza and the Argentinian history. She had to get creative since we our tour was on a Sunday so the market and many restaurants were closed. We really appreciated her expertise and enthusiasm and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend.Amazing tour with an expert
Our tour with Julieta was a great experience! She walked us around the sights of Mendoza while telling stories from both past and present. She’s exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of the area and more importantly, she’s passionate about it! I’d highly recommend her as your Mendoza tour guide! Julieta is wonderful
Flor was the lynchpin of our visit to Mendoza. I reached out to her for this walking tour but she was our local contact and guide for our full 3-4 days in Mendoza. She helped arrange rides, wine tours and other suggestions for visiting. She was super responsive on WhatsApp and personally handled anything we asked for. This is a solid tour with some r ally local stops, but if you want more help with all of your trip planning, don't hesitate to connect with Flor.Fantastic Local Guide
We had an excellent tour of Mendoza, with some great stories to bring the buildings to life and tell us about the history of the city.Excellent tour
We spent 3 wonderful hours with Florencia discovering the history and food of Mendoza. Yes there was of course some wine but also local markets, squares, and strolls down leafy avenues learning about life in Mendoza
Florencia is a very warm and engaging host and we recommend her highly to anyone wanting to experience the true local life of Mendoza. What a great evening with a wonderful host
One of the best tour guides I've ever had. Book with her and don't look back!Flor is the best
