My parents and I recently took a Canadian cruise from Montrèal to Portland ME. We went a day early and decided to book a personal tour. The price from the ship was double the cost Marie was asking for just 3 of us. Marie was in touch early asking about any personal preferences etc. She met us at our hotel downtown and took us on an amazing tour of Old and New Montreal. She has a ton of knowledge and love for the city. We left with a great feel of Montrèal. I can’t recommend Marie or Montrèal enough. Make sure you have good walking shoes though. My wife and I spent two delightful hours touring Montreal with Melissa! We really enjoyed seeing the city from her perspective and sharing stories about our life experiences. We strolled through many neighborhoods, beginning at Notre-Dame Basilica, working our way down to the riverfront, up to City Hall, through Chinatown, past the underground city, and the Place Des Arts. Melissa gave us a great sense of the city’s layout and culture along with many recommendations for further exploration. She also shared a list of cafes and restaurants to try. Marie was terrific with us. We did the two hour tour due to some foot injuries and asked in advance for her to plan in a few rest points. She was very knowledgeable with quite interesting history of Montreal and even politics that occurred in the late 1900’s shaping what Montreal is today. We hit all of the major sites we wanted to see. Highly recommend. Fantastic Experience!

Our group of 4 thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hours we spent with Marcelo. He took us through many significant neighborhoods in the city and told us about Montreal's past, present and future. We learned so much! Marcelo had a gentle, engaging manner which made us feel comfortable to ask questions. He gave us lots of good tips on sites to see, neighborhoods to further explore and places to eat. Even after the tour was over, Marcelo sent us additional recommendations and even travel instructions using the Metro! Victoria replied to any questions I had prior to our meeting time. We are traveling with two other couples and it was easy to hear all she said. She took us to great viewing areas and pointed out significance of many statues. We loved her recommendation to get tickets for Aura at the Basilica (which happens to be where Celine Dion was married). We were with her for a full two hours and enjoyed every minute .A great way to learn about Montreal!

Victoria is a charming and enthusiastic guide to the city. She is a history and political science student and so is able to provide an in-depth explanation of the social and historical context of various buildings and areas of Montreal. We enjoyed the stories and observations she had as we walked from Old Montreal and the Port through downtown and all the way to MacGill University. I recently had the pleasure of touring Montreal with Marie Nollet. She took me to the beautiful hidden gems of Montreal. We visited Square Saint-Louis where she described its beautiful history and the story of the early days of Montreal. The Montreal City Hall and the Saint-Lawrence River front were exciting to see as it has a combination of its port history and how it was protected from various natural calamities and from invaders. Marie's deep knowledge of each site, combined with her engaging storytelling, made the tour both informative and enjoyable. Notre-Dame Basilica has its vibrant history as well as the priests seminary which is from 1687. The tour was quite an amazing and new experience for me, especially if you have Marie as your companion. Her passion for the city's history and culture was evident throughout. If I get a chance to visit again in Montreal I can't think about others than her.Engaging storytelling

Marcelo was extremely accommodating as we had some cold, rainy weather, was open to schedule changes and easy to work with in that respect. We got a great introduction to many neighborhoods and shown how simple it was to use the metro! Also, we were very curious about the underground shopping, which he was able to show us as well! All of this while giving us many interesting facts about Montreal and Quebec. He was also able to help us find a store that was on our list to visit while we were in the neighborhood! I highly recommend starting your trip here with him, you will not be disappointed and he was able to give us recommendations of where to go for the rest of our trip, including some restaurant recommendations!! I couldn't have asked for a better guide in Montreal. Marie's warm and friendly demeanor set the tone for what would be a memorable tour. We had such a great time hiking at Mont tremblant with Marie! The weather and season were ideal, and the hike was perfect for us - challenging enough to feel like a victory but not too difficult or exhausting. We met Victoria for a food tour on our first day in Montréal. And it was a great way to start off our vacation. Not only did she introduce us to some delicious food (bagels, poutine, smoked meats, and pasties) but also gave us history of the city as we walked from place to place. Despite the smattering of rain, our day with Victoria was delightful. We visited during the Montreal Jazz Festival - despite the friends we had no difficulty connecting for the tour. Victoria was a wrath of knowledge about her adopted city and helped us understand today by sharing the history. We covered a lot of ground and ate some fabulous food - poutine of course, but also some gourmet chocolate and lobster rolls. We had the MOST amazing day with our spectacular tour guide, Victoria. The tour was very customized for our group and it was private as well. We have taken food tours around the world in many different locations. The day with Victoria was one of the best. Food tours are great way to get to know the city, culture, people, and get all the good secrets-inside tips, etc. Victoria was friendly, knowledgeable and we ate until we could not eat any more.
