Alvaro was a wonderful local to spend the day with. We originally booked a 90 minute tour of Palma but decided we wanted to explore the countryside and not have to worry about driving. So we met him at the car rental place and off we went to Andratx, Sant Elm, along the coast to Banyabufar and then to our favourite Valldemossa. Along the way we had interesting discussions with Alvaro about Mallorca and his travels and world events. He was open to talk about anything and we appreciated that. When we got back to Palma he extended the tour even further by taking us to a spot with beautiful views of Palma. We all agreed if we had rented the car on our own the day would have been a dud. Thanks Alvaro, it was a wonderful day spent with you. Wonderful informative host.

We booked a 1.5 hour city tour with Cesar and we enjoyed every minute of it and I know he gave us some extra time too. We certainly discovered many things that we simply would not have noticed on our own. Nachdem wir in Lissabon sehr gute Erfahrungen mit Withlocals gemacht haben, sind wir bei der City Kick Start Tour sehr enttäuscht worden. Jorge ist ein netter Guide; leider überzeugte er weder mit geschichtlichen Fakten und Insider Tipps. Diese waren eine Restaurantliste der Umgebung. Einen Überblick wie geplant, konnten wir uns nicht verschaffen. Auch war die Geschwindigkeit, trotz sehr guter Fitness unsererseits für eine Stadtführung unangebracht. Es war in Summe eine unstrukturierte, hektische, wortkarge, wenig wissensvermittelnde und faktenbasierte Tour. Sehr Schade. Die Krönung: von gebuchten 1,5h wurde nur 1h absolviert. Bevor wir etwas sagen konnten war er im Handumdrehen in den Menschenmassen verschwunden und weg. Schnelles Rennen durch Palma

my typical experiences with Withlocals has been excellent. With the exception of this one tour. First, my original tour got cancelled by Frank without explantation. When I questioned it - his reply was "There are many other tour guides on with locals you can book" So I booked a new tour with Rony - who let me know that morning that another tour guide Floris would guide the tour. Second, Floris was not a good tour guide. Offered very high level info without much detail - and seemed interested in getting to the next spot of the tour rather than engaging the group. Very poor experience overall.Very Poor Experience with Palma Tour

Weg von den normalen Stadtführungen waren wir nur zu dritt mit Cesar unterwegs, der gleich auf unsere individuellen Wünsche einging. Ein sehr, sehr netter und kompetenter Begleiter durch die Altstadt in Palma, der uns viele Ecken und Plätze zeigte, die wir sonst nicht gesehen hätten und uns historische Ereignisse erklärte, über die in den Reiseführern nicht berichtet wird. We came to Palma and Mallorca, as first time visitors without a foundation of the island’s history. Cesar did a wonderful job in resolving this! Not only was he incredibly informative, he was also engaging and kind. It felt more like a conversation with a friend rather than a “tour.” As a local, Cesar had so much to offer us, from social-political history and architecture to restaurant and night life recs. I was very much looking forward to this tour and I was not disappointed. This was my first time not only in Palma, but Mallorca, and Cesar was the perfect host. He was waiting at our meeting point ready for our morning tour. He had thought in advance about what to show me and share with me and for that reason the tour felt very personalised. He asked questions of me along the way and is a very knowledgeable and easy going host. I saw the highlights of the city as well as Cesar pointing out restaurants and bars I might like to try during my short stay. I did eat at one of these places and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Limited what can be covered in 1 1/2 hours, but enough to identify what we will use time on, during our stay in the town. The hidden gems were funny too. Cesar is wonderful! He told us so many detailed stories about the history and people of Palma, and was always helpful and full of enthusiasm. Before our tour through Palma, I had written an email asking to be shown the main attractions in the city as most of our group hadn't been there before. In retrospect I don't think that Alvaro had read the mail as we some interesting things but also some rather obscure things. We weren't given any tips as to what we should see and do. When we stopped at points, he didn't wait for everyone to catch up but talked to whoever was there and so some of us missed a few things. It was interesting but really not what we were expecting Not what we were expecting

We liked Adriana as soon as we met her. She was easy to engage with and we were quickly learning about Palma (having been to the island regularly for the last 10 years but never bothered to learn much about the history) but we were not bombarded with information which made for a more relaxing experience and you then remember more of it. This sounded like such a good way to ‘kick start’ our week in Palma - and we weren’t disappointed! Natalia ‘s communication with us before (and after) the tour was great - but the tour itself was excellent- just what we had hoped for. Natalia gave us a fair bit of ‘insider information ‘ ; an overview of the city and different areas/ places / food places to visit at a later point plus loads of recommendations not only for Palma but across the island. We had a fabulous walk around the streets of old Palma, having visited several times before we thought it was about time we educate ourselves on the history of this amazing city and we certainly achieved that with Cesar. His enthusiasm and local knowledge knew no bounds and our 1½ hour early morning tour extended to lunchtime as we chatted away sat outside his favourite coffee shop just off Sindicat. César is the perfect local guide to discover Palma, throught powerful historic stories about the city and Mallorca ! The tour was adapted to our Willings and Cesar has spent more time than expected with us, Wich was a great experience.
