We had a 7 hour layover in Singapore on our way back to San Francisco. We chose the 1.5 hour tour because we wanted to get back to the airport on time although on a Sunday it was a quick taxi ride there and back. Stefan was our tour guide and he took us around some of the buildings in downtown while giving us history about Singapore and its path to independence. We sort of mucked Jack around with start times, and he was super chill about it (we did get there on time in the end). As we had spent 40 hours without sleep (thank you Emirates!), we didn't have any real direction for Jack, but he managed to show us some of the history and certainly his knowledge of Singapore is second to none. At the end of the 90 minute introduction to Singapore he even hand delivered us to Raffles and told us about the history of it on the way!Knowledgeable and accommodating.

We had been given a 90 min tour with Kenny as a Christmas gift and also as a way of providing us with an introduction to Singapore as we had just arrived the previous day. Kenny was excellent, really very knowledgeable about the history of Singapore right up to the present day. The tour self focused on the Chinatown area given we only had 90 mins (given the quality of the tour we wished we had longer) and it was exceptionally interesting. Kenny showed us areas, buildings and important symbols and temples that we would never have come across ourselves. Grayson was very attentive, professional, and shared lots of information points throughout our tour. He promptly guided us to many different food areas and we sampled Indian, Malaysian, and Chinese dishes. There is a bit of walking involved, so I would recommend bringing a fan and/or an umbrella to cool down. All of the places we stopped to eat at did not have aircon, so just be prepared for the hot weather. Grayson noticed we were thirsty and led us to a nearby 7-11 to hydrate, as well. Grayson also went into more detail about the history of each area we visited and answered all of our many questions about housing, daily life, and more in Singapore. I would definitely recommend this tour with Grayson for anyone looking for an insider view of the city. And to enjoy a variety of delicious treats!Great food with Grayson!

We spent a fabulous morning with Monica on our first visit to Singapore with my elderly mother who had never visited before. Monica was so informative and incredibly considerate and patient with us throughout the morning we spent with her. She used different methods of transport for us and found ‘off the beaten path’ little gems to share with us. We spent lunch with her in a fabulous Hawker centre. What a delightful time! I just finished a weekend exploring Slngapore with Monica. Monica is experienced and extremely well prepared. If you had expressed special needs or interests ahead of time, you can rest assured that they will be well attended to. Monica knows her city well and is able to make quick schedule adjustments as necessitated by rain, excessive heat, exhaustion or changing interests. She is very sensitive to your physical needs and can always find the clean bathroom, rehydration location or attractive eating or resting spot. Monica knows the back alleys and finds the expeditious routes that minimize crowds and provide maximum cover. She seems to know the stories behind every nook and cranny of the multicultural city that is Singapore. Monica is an infectious student of history.
