We had a 7 hour layover in Singapore on our way back to San Francisco. We chose the 1.5 hour tour because we wanted to get back to the airport on time although on a Sunday it was a quick taxi ride there and back. Stefan was our tour guide and he took us around some of the buildings in downtown while giving us history about Singapore and its path to independence. We sort of mucked Jack around with start times, and he was super chill about it (we did get there on time in the end). As we had spent 40 hours without sleep (thank you Emirates!), we didn't have any real direction for Jack, but he managed to show us some of the history and certainly his knowledge of Singapore is second to none. At the end of the 90 minute introduction to Singapore he even hand delivered us to Raffles and told us about the history of it on the way!Knowledgeable and accommodating.

The City Kickstart Tour was an excellent introduction to Singapore. It was the best way to experience the city on our first day. Our tour guide, Grayson was very professional, friendly and highly knowledgeable. We learnt history, culture, government and many more! We enjoyed the Merlion Park, the former City Hall, Cavenagh Bridge, thé Parliament House, Victoria Theater and Concert Hall. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our favorite place was the Fullerton Hotel for its grandeur, historic architecture and its importance to the history of Singapore. Wir wurden am Hotel abgeholt und Jack hat uns eine Stunde länger durch Singapur geführt als wir gebucht hatten ohne einen Aufpreis zu verlangen. Wenn man die Kickstarttour bucht sollten man vorher genau überlegen was man sehen möchte, in 90 Minuten kann man sich nur auf 1-2 Highlights in Singapur konzentrieren. Prima Tour

We had been given a 90 min tour with Kenny as a Christmas gift and also as a way of providing us with an introduction to Singapore as we had just arrived the previous day. Kenny was excellent, really very knowledgeable about the history of Singapore right up to the present day. The tour self focused on the Chinatown area given we only had 90 mins (given the quality of the tour we wished we had longer) and it was exceptionally interesting. Kenny showed us areas, buildings and important symbols and temples that we would never have come across ourselves. What a delightful time! I just finished a weekend exploring Slngapore with Monica. Monica is experienced and extremely well prepared. If you had expressed special needs or interests ahead of time, you can rest assured that they will be well attended to. Monica knows her city well and is able to make quick schedule adjustments as necessitated by rain, excessive heat, exhaustion or changing interests. She is very sensitive to your physical needs and can always find the clean bathroom, rehydration location or attractive eating or resting spot. Monica knows the back alleys and finds the expeditious routes that minimize crowds and provide maximum cover. She seems to know the stories behind every nook and cranny of the multicultural city that is Singapore. Monica is an infectious student of history. I found that Monica anticipated my needs well and was a delightful and interesting person to converse with. She seems to have a great curiosity and passion for people and places. In ten days I will be returning to Singapore for another short visit. Monica was a real treasure source and I now feel prepared to venture out on my own in this lovely city. . Jack is a great guide. He has an eye for photography. He even helped us rake better pictures with our phone cameras. we took a nice walk through Kampong Glen and little India and China town. up to the amazing sky park observatory. Rode the cable car for awesome views. we visited the Orchid gardens (wow) and Singapore Botanical gardens. that was just day 1! Day 2 went to the civic center and learned about Singapore planning. Merlion park, river cruuse, Gardens by the bay (amazing), Rhapsody light show (beautiful) and finally the Spectra light show. Monica did an excellent job with sharing history while making the entire tour fun and interesting- she has a great sense of humor. She did a great job of checking in frequently to see if we needed a rest or refreshments, and adjusted the tour on the fly based on our interests. Deone was a fabulous guide and the sweetest person ever!! She met the 4 of us at our hotel at the time we agreed on and took us on an all day adventure on foot, metro and even arranged for a car at times! We explored so much in one day. Here are some of the things we did: Little India, Tekka Centre, Chinatown, heritage houses on Pagoda street, artist murals, the Maxwell food center (She bought us healthy cold juice drinks and 3 different snacks to share!). After that we went to the Botanic Gardens including Orchid Garden, then Orchard Road, Raffles Hotel. Deonne customized our day to our needs since we did some of the sights on our own the previous day. She also brought lots of water for us, had sanitizing wipes for us and a little gift. She even had our metro passes ready!! If you want to tour Singapore and love to walk, Deone is the guide for you!!!Fabulous Day touring Singapore!!!
