Eleni was a wonderful guide for getting to know the areas below the Acropolis without getting bogged down by the more touristy traps which abound. She is very knowledgeable of the in and outs of the area and provides her insights in a very relatable manner making the tour very enjoyable. Both my wife and I enjoy unique graffiti/street art and Eleni was very patient with our periodic stops for photos which was much appreciated. Would very much recommend to anyone wanting to get up to speed quickly.A great way to start a week in Athens!

Eleni was awesome! My wife and I did the 90 minute Hidden Districts tour with Eleni and it was fantastic. We saw things we would not have seen otherwise. It was a great mix of local culture, food, and history. We were there during one of the hottest days of the summer, during the record-breaking 2021 heat wave, and Eleni was full of energy and good humor nonetheless. Eleni, was nice but being a tour guide myself I would do few changes to the tour. Firstly Wearing the mask I would make sure to project my voice loud and clear, Eleni was softly whispering. Secondly I would introduce myself. A guide should spend 3 min to say their name, who they are and why they are tour guiding. Then I would open a map, show how big the city, explain which part I will cover in the tour and why. Then give 3 min of historical outline and then star the Walking tour. Room for improvement

My husband and I had the most amazing day with Makram. He brought us to some really great places and we ate delicious food. We particularly loved his secret spot. Eleni took us on a 90 minute walk, showing and telling us how Athens had changed since our previous visit in 1979. She also gave us restaurant recommendations, and showed us the city food market. We met Dionysis at @ 12:30 and spent 3 pleasant hours walking, talking and eating our way around Athens. Dionysis was attentive to our likes and dislikes and ordered our tastes accordingly. We walked through the meat and fish markets the had wonderful calamari, anchovies, meatballs, veggies both fried and fresh with a spiced cheese spread and some coffee. Next we went to another spot for sausage, gyros and fries. Then went to another bakery for the best spanikopita ever with handmade phyllo dough. We also some succulent pork skewers and ended our food tour with fresh, hot doughnuts. Our only complaint and it is minor - Dionysis is a smoker and my husband hates the smell. I thought he was very discreet with his smoking, but it was the only negative. Dionysis has a great personality and was very easy to talk with.Great walk with wonderful food

It was very enjoyable to explore different neighborhoods of Athens outside of the typical touristy areas. She took us to the local market and was patient with us while we were buying some products she would also recommend what to take what to not. We had a broad view at Athens from modern to ancient. Our host ( not guide) was very enthusiastic and tried to make our experience as joyful and informative as possible. We would have liked to see the museum and acropolis up close but were only made aware that guides ( registered archeologists) can take you, after we paid. Makram review
