We had a great couple of hours with Gayle last Sunday morning. She is full of quirky information about the City and tailored our experience to focus on our interests viz food and drink, showing us some interesting and unusual places to indulge. We covered pretty much the whole of York centre and finished up in a bar together having a well earned drink. Her knowledge of rum is pretty staggering too if, like us, you are aficionados! We did a full 3 hours walk in York with Sally and had a wonderful time. First we did the walls of York, which are beautiful and loaded with history; then Sally took us through the narrow alleys of York and told us of the stories behind it. She also gave us tips on which bars and restaurant you best could visit and most important: which to avoid. Sally knows a lot about York, things you won't find in any tourist books. We usually book Withlocals whenever we travel abroad. Due to travel restrictions we thought we would try the experience at home and it did not disappoint.
