Agung and his team are just amazing. The tour was incredibly well planned out and we learnt a lot about Balinese coffee production and traditional Balinese villages. I like traveling off the beaten path and Agung took to me to a micro-lot farmer and roaster. It has been an excellent experience tasting coffee, picking a few coffee cherries and walking around Penglipuran. As a solo traveler, I enjoyed conversations with Agung the most about his own passions in food and beverage, Indonesian history and culture and Filipino-Indonesian similarities. My husband and I did the coffee plantation and local lifestyle tour with Agung. Agung was fantastic! His English was excellent, and he drove safely. There aren't enough words to commend the tour we had with Agung. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the coffee and the processes behind it, however this tour was so much more. The locations he has curated for this tour are a combination of fascinating, beautiful and breathtaking. From the serene plantation to the awe inspiring mount Batur, each spot is a glimpse into the wonders of Bali. Agung also gave us an insight into Balinese and Hindu culture. He told us about how religion in Bali operates, the significance of the temples, the structure of offerings and numerous other interesting things to do with life on the island. We had one day in Bali after getting off a cruise ship and having a late evening flight, so we booked Agung to show us some of the sights. He picked us up from the dock at 9am and planned a full day of sightseeing for us, which, despite the weather not being the greatest, ended up being an extremely enjoyable day. We loved our day tour of Bali with Agung. We were staying in Jimbaran, but this tour took us all over the island—including to areas we would not likely have explored on our own. After a long search, I found Agung on the Withlocals site and, like everyone else, I read through the reviews. As soon as I messaged him, he immediately got in touch with me. He answered all my questions and offered helpful suggestions. On the agreed date and time, Agung arrived at our place with his car. The vehicle was spotlessly clean and smelled great. Our trip to Bali this Easter was unlike any other, thanks to Agung, a local food genius who knows all the secret spots. Even though I've been to Bali before, this time felt totally new because my partner was seeing it all for the first time. We spent 5 hours with Agung in Bali on one of the best food tours ever. We spent some time at the market sampling different fruits and seeing the different veggies. Plus we sampled some soup at a food stall there. We then made our way to the snack area and had some treats. We walked and stopped at so many interesting and different food stalls and restaurants. We learned so much from him. What we liked best was how easily it was to talk to Agung. It was as if we were old friends that showed up and he took us out to see his town. Agung is one of the best tour guides I have ever had! The tour he designed for me was exceptional. I only had 1 day left in Bali, but was interested in trying a number of Balinese foods I hadn't been able to taste during my time there. I also wanted to take part in his coffee tour but had run out of time. So he designed a tour that was a bit of both over a roughly 10 hour day. Some of the highlights included eating one of my favorite snacks (klepon) at the home of a local family; trying a dish that requires days of prep (bebek betutu); and, walking through a food market tasting a number of fruits that I had wanted to taste unique to the region (wani, snakefruit, water apple). Agung was great. He picked us up from cruise port in Benoa and from there headed to Tanah Lot. Was fabulous. Then to Taman Ayun royal family temple. He later delivered us to our hotel in Ubud. The next day made 5 more stops including a beautiful waterfall, rice terrace and more. We walked thru a traditional village as he explained how families live. Our experience with Agung was excellent, totally 10 out of 10. We were very fortunate to be able to tour Bali with him for 4 days. The first day we did a tour from Ubud to the area of Mount Batur making all the stops to the places we wanted. With Agung you will get up early to avoid the great majority of tourists in the most crowded zones and it is worth the effort a lot. The next day he asked us if we wanted to hike Mount Batur and he arranged for them to come for us at 3:30 in the morning. On the way back he left us time for a shower and breakfast and then we headed for the Tamblingan Lake area. He took us to the well-known NungNung Falls and we were practically alone. The third day was a day of a lot of road to reach the southern area of Uluwatu, and Agung prepared us several beautiful stops such as the rice field of Jatiluwih or a very old temple as Pura Luhur Batukaru which we had not contemplated in the itinerary and could not be more successful. The last day we traveled the south of Bali and, as we did not want to be 4 hours of line to make us a photo in the typical temple of Lempuyang, we asked him to take us to another place that he considered, and it was perfect. We had to climb practically a mountain to get to the temple and the views there were dreamy. I think the only tourists were us. And leaving aside the tour part, if we talk about Agung, I can't recommend it more. He is a very nice man and his English is perfect. He is always willing to give you a hand, with a smile and adapting to the needs you have at the moment. Every day he would show up with some typical Indonesian or Balinese food and always taught us words in both languages that we tried to say in the best possible way. We did not miss anything of Bali because Agung took us to all the places we wanted and told us the history of each one of them. You can tell he loves his country and his island, and he transmits it in a beautiful way. We will definitely go back to Bali, and we will definitely call Agung again to guide us. We spent 2 amazing days with Agung with a personalized tour. The communication with Agung before the tour was perfect, he was really fast and always helpful. The tour with him then was amazing! We booked a sightseeing tour as two adults and our four year old, and Agung was the perfect guide. He showed us sights on our journey to each location, found us a lovely place to have coffees and then lunch later looking out at Mount Batu, it was a perfect day. We contacted Agung to personalize a trip to Ubud. He picked us up arriving a few minutes early. We had asked to see some Batik fabric. He took us to high quality place that produced their own fabric. Beautiful master quality work. We visited a private collection of masks and shadow puppets that was very impressive. The buildings and garden are tranquil. Our visit to a Balinese house was interesting and gave us insight into the local culture. The Arma museum has Balinese art from 1940 to the present hung in two large buildings. The Royal Palace in Ubud had a huge event with beautiful flowers everywhere so we were unable to enter. Instead we visited a nearby Hindu temple. Agung at our request recommended a restaurant- Kayo Manis in Sanur where we ended the day for dinner. The delicious food was a nice conclusion to a successful day. Ubud Visit with Agung

We booked Agung for two different trips: one for a transfer from Seminyak to Munduk with sightseeing in between and one trip to the north east of Bali. We like both trips very much. When we arrived in Ubud, we had pre-booked the tour with Agung for the following morning. We walked through Ubud and he showed us some places worth visiting.
