During a cruse trip in asia we booked an individual 6 Hours trip with the withlocals agency. We were getting in contact with Akmal direct after booking by Akmal himself via WhatsApp. Very easy, very comfortable in the arangement of individuell interests with him. Every wish was organisateted by. So we got the posibillity to have lunch with him in a traditionell market. During 7 hours of guiding us, Akmal showed us his KL. We booked this last minute when our flight was delayed to Sydney and we had an unexpected long KL layover. Mohd was so accommodating esp when we had delays at airport and had to keep altering pick up time. He let us personalise the tour to our needs and timings and was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide as well as good fun. Mohd Akmal is the best tour guide ever! Very accommodating, flexible and funny! First off, he agreed to pick us up one hour before the scheduled time as we arrived at 4am in KL. He gave us wonderful welcome gifts (first time that somebody handed us that after many experiences with other tour guides). Threw in lots of “SURPRISES” all through out the tour. Very funny guy. Knew the history of KL/Malaysia very well. Learned so much about the city and the country itself. Jokes with us and took us to places we asked him to (market, starbucks, etc.) Also worth mentioning, he takes very cool pics as he was a professional photographer before. He kept us hydrated and given and carried the umbrella for us most of the time. Mohd Akmal is definitely a top notch tour guide. Best tour guide with lots of surprises ☺️

Mohd Akmal was the best guide I ever had. He is very knowledgeable and went absolutely out of his way to make sure we were comfortable at all times. It was raining and he brought umbrellas for us. Also provided water along the tour. We visited numerous sites in the city and had a delicious local lunch. He is intelligent caring and very funny. If I ever come back to KL Akmal will be the reason! Akmal is the best guide ever!! I could not ask for anybody better. We started our tour a bit late but I was not worried at all because he kept me updated all the time. He really knows his way around the city and he is very familiar with the city history as well. He is very pleasant and patient in answering all my questions. He came prepared as well, he even brought an umbrella for the rain!! He adds a few jokes on our conversation and he is kind enough to take our pictures and show us the best spots to take the best photos!! I feel like I was just talking to a friend whom I have not met for a long time! My mom and I were visiting Kuala Lumpur for one and a half days and we booked a whole day tour with Akmal. He's definitely one of the best guides we ever had! He did not only show us the main sightseeing spots but also explained us how all the different cultures live together and what a daily life in Kuala Lumpur feels like. My husband and I were very lucky to experience Kuala Lumpur with our host, Modh Akmal. As part of a cruise, we docked at Port Klang for 24 hours and disembarked to find Modh waiting for us as arranged. We had previously messaged him with our ‘wish list’, so Mohd had the day all planned for us and we couldn’t have asked for a better host ! Mohd was full of fascinating information and facts about the city and really made our day full of fun and laughter. Mohd really made every effort to make sure we had the best day possible and we certainly couldn’t have asked for more. Travel all over world. First time in KL.Employed Mohd fo r 2 full days of sightseeing.Managed to see virtually everything in the guidebook and more .Lovely person with tons of knowledge and brilliant driver who couldn’t have been more accommodating. My family of four had a 10 hour layover in Kuala Lumpur and booked a custom day tour of the city with Akmal. The day was perfect and through Akmal guidance and friendly communication we were able to really get a feel for the city and fall in love with Malaysia. He picked us up at the airport and despite some confusion with communication as our phones didn't work and WIFI was down, we tracked each other down and were on our way. We went to Batu Caves, the Twins, had lunch, then saw the Sultans Palace and the National Monument. In between all of this Akmal shared information about Malaysia with us in such a friendly way and with such a kind and heartwarming laugh that we all felt sad to leave him when our time was up. We would give this tour 11/10 if we could. It was the best tour either of us have ever done - it was like having your friend show you their home town. We saw so much and learnt a lot. The car was very comfortable for the drive to Malacca. Even though it was a 2 hour drive, the time flew. Akmal was very attentive, even paying for our toilet stops, and adapted the tour to suit us. Honestly, he is the most lovely and friendly tour guide we have struck. I can honestly not think of anything that would improve this tour, and highly recommend it to everyone! He even had an umbrella for shade for us and waited whilst we shopped for clothes. The lunch was out of this world and Akmal's suggestions were fantastic. We spent the whole day with a smile on our faces Best tour ever!

We normally go it alone but decided on this tour as we knew nothing about Malacca. Mohd was an excellent choice. His great sense of humour and local knowledge made it fun. It's nice hearing about growing up in the area and the changes that have occurred. Unlike some tours everything was included...including the fee for the toilet. Really nice not to have to think about anything. Many thanks we really enjoyed and would recommend to anyone. It was slightly more expensive than we would normally pay but was well worth it Great day tour

We had a wonderful trip around KL with Akmal. He was great with the kids, very flexible with timings at different places and took us to some great sites. Mohd was brilliant. Arrived promptly. Car was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. His driving was efficient and we felt safe at all times, even in the crazy KL traffic. His commentary was concise, informative and clear. The tour felt very flexible; he regularly asked for our input if there was anything we wanted to do. It was quick but never rushed. It felt like we did more than we could possibly have done on our own or in a bigger tour group. Essentially, I’d strongly recommend Mohd and his tour of KL to anyone visiting the city. Excellent

Had a great time with Akmal exploring the best that Kuala Lumpur has to offer. I only had one free day in KL and wanted to use it to experience different sides of the city from Batu Caves to Petronas Towers. We had a fantastic tour with Akmal and cannot appreciate Akmal enough. Due ro flight delay, we met Akmal 2 hours late but he was kind enough to wait and extend the finish time so we covered all. Akmal was very knowledgeable and answered all our queries in a great way. He also kept us entertained with stories and was flexible with the itinerary as we had 2 young kids. We covered the sites mentioned in the tour and saw parts of KL we never knew before. A stop for delicious lunch was another highlight. The car was comfortable and as it could get very hot when we were walking outside, Akmal also provided some umbrellas. Overall, I would highly recommend Akmals tour and it has left us with everlasting memories. We only had a few hours of transit in KL but covered so much thanks to Akmal. What an amazing tour we had with Akmal! His passion for the city and zest for life shines through and knowledge of the city and history of KL and Malaysia more broadly is unbelievable. He is such a genuinely good hearted person, and really made our tour magical - we had so much fun and saw so many beautiful sites. Akmal goes above and beyond to make you feel special and really tailors the tour to exactly what you feel like doing. It honestly did not feel like we were on a tour, it felt like a friend was showing us around a city that he loved so much.
