An easy 11/10! We have been in Rome for four nights and seen everything from the Colosseum to Pompei (on a day trip )but it is the little moments that make the best memories and that is exactly what our last night in Rome was. Roberto is so lovley and welcoming. With such a relaxed atmosphere it was a lovley break from the hustle and bustle of inner city Rome. We felt at home right away. Making the pasta was great fun and worked well with a larger group. We now know all the tricks on what flour to use and why the pasta needs to be rested. The cookies were downright delicious and a great addition to the meal. Roberto was very easy to communicate with. We can’t thank him enough for easily making our last night in Rome the best one! Hopefully we can recreate the delicious pasta at home. Thank you again!Best night in Rome.

Roberto was very helpful getting our pasta technique down. He was informative to let us know what all the ingredients were we were working with and acknowledged any preferences we had. The food turned out delicious! We had a lovely time chatting about his history with cooking and some other suggestions he had for us to adventure to while in Italy. Getting to his location was very simple and straight forward. We took the metro which was only a few minutes walking distance from his apartment. His apartment was perfect for the 4 of us plus Roberto. I will definitely be giving my new skills a try back home. Thank you Roberto!!Had a wonderful time!

Roberto was a very kind and PATIENT person! we made plans to take a cooking class with him 3 hours after we arrived in Rome, after the train terminated its destination half way through the ride at a random city, we had to fend for ourselves on how we were going to get to Rome. Eventually we had to take a bus to another town and then another train station to get to Rome. This means we were running late, upon walking in the pouring rain for 40 minutes with our luggage (yes we were soaked) we arrived at Roberto’s LOVELY home where he had everything set up and ready to go, he was very patient with us and let me tell you Rome did not treat us well but this experience with him will leave a beautiful lasting impression of Rome with us. (Also The food was amazing!) LATE

First time in Rome for us. Our visit to Rome was made complete and more unique by making, cooking and eating real Italian pasta. The biscuits we made with red wine were delicious too. Roberto also gave us a taste of the excellent Italian hospitality by preparing a selection of cheeses and cold meats which we all shared with a local glass of red wine admiring the view of Rome at night from the roof top. Roberto was such a kind and fun guy to learn from! My wife and I had such a great time spending time and learning how to make pasta and cookies from Roberto. He made us feel right at home as soon as we got there and also gave us tons of tips on what to do in Rome. Another highlight of the night was when he took us up on the roof top to see the whole city while we had wine and appetizers! The pasta and cookies he taught us to make turned out amazing and my wife and I were completely stuffed when we were done. Lastly, we accidentally went over our scheduled time but Roberto was in no hurry to get us out of his charming apartment. My wife and I highly recommended anyone who wants to learn how to make homemade Italian pasta to go to Roberto!Way better than we expected!!!

Before we arrived Roberto’s friendly & informative messages meant we were looking forward to our evening of pasta making. He greeted us at his home & the pasta making lesson was well thought out & gave everyone in our party the opportunity to have a go & learn. Roberto was excellent. We turned up at his apartment and from the beginning he was accommodating, patient (we had two kids who as post millennials wanted to watch youtube) and happy to show us the process of making his style if pasta. The end result of the meal was EXCELLENT and the wine sourced locally was superb. This is an amazing experience for anyone who wants to see home cooking made in a local house. Roberto was a superb host! We enjoyed learning every detail of a seemly simple yet delicious Italian meal. Roberto was warm and welcoming and his home was chic and comfortable. You can tell he loves to share his family recipes. We learned how to make our own pasta from scratch with the purest ingredients. He even had organic red wine from a local vineyard! From the fresh garlic and basil to the savory sauce, every bite was devoured. His amatriciana sauce was delicious as were the dessert of ciambelle al vino! We visited Rome for one week and thought it would be fun to incorporate a cooking class in our busy sightseeing schedule. We very much so enjoyed meeting and getting to know Roberto. After he warmly greeted us, we started making pasta while we enjoyed appetizers and wine. We cook at home and enjoyed learning more about Roman cooking and traditions of Roberto’s family. Food was yum! If you are looking for something unique to do while in Rome, book with Roberto. I found what he offered was of great value.. The cost is a fraction of what you pay for an all day or half day cooking class somewhere else. Since it is 1:1, it also provides you an opportunity to pepper him with questions about anything. We had great conversations And learned quite a bit about each and our cultures. This experience does not disappoint! I look forward to sending family and friends to Roberto. A++++ thank you!

Roberto is an extremely nice host, easy to make conversation with. My daughter and I made pasta with 2 types of sauce (my daughter is picky about food) and delicious cookies. While waiting for the pasta to dry we had some tasty cheese and salami, a delicious bruchetta and great white wine. Many of the ingredients are organic, brought by Roberto from the mountains. The food was delicious. We learned how to make pasta on our own! This was a great way to get to know a local. Thanks Roberto!Great experience!

He'd show us how to start then have us take over, correcting our technique as necessary. He was also infinitely patient with our multitude of questions about Italian cooking. On our last night in Rome, before coming home to the US, my husband,18 yo old daughter and I had a wonderful evening with Roberto. He lives a ways from where we were staying near the Vatican, but the directions were perfect and we arrived by Uber in about 20 minutes, and just on time at 7:00 pm. Preparing the pasta noodles takes about 30 minutes (the dough is kneaded for 15 minutes). Roberto allows you to help as much or as little as you would like. While the noodles were drying we went up to the rooftop of his apartment - it was a beautiful evening the views were amazing. On the rooftop, we shared the most delicious white wine, cheese and meat. Roberto has a personal connection to the food and wine suppliers which added a personal touch to everything. Next we came back inside to his kitchen and had bruschetta. Roberto then prepared Spaghetti Amatriciana. It uses guanciale (pork cheek) in a red sauce - it was amazing. Don't be afraid to try it - guanciale is similar to bacon. You can also choose something different - Roberto will contact you ahead of time for your choice. Dinner was served with red wine, also very good. Lastly we made and ate a traditional cookie for dessert. Don't hesitate to book an evening with Roberto. My friend and I took this class with the charming Roberto and had such a lovely time! The food was delicious and we helped to make it! I am a very experienced cook but still learned some great new techniques and my friend with much less experience cooking, was encouraged by Roberto to get in there and give it a try and gained some new confidence and skills. We can now make pasta, like fettuccini, linguini, and pappardelle completely by hand with only a rolling pin to roll it out and a knife to cut the strands. Very cool! Roberto also shared with us some fabulous olive oil, wine, cheese, and salami that were made by local producers that he personally knows. All in all, this was a wonderful experience that I would recommend to anyone.Great experience!
