Drica made us feel right at home in the fantastic atmosphere of Lavapiés. It felt like being with an old friend with wonderful communication skills and excellent English. One has to understand the cultural importance of street art in Madrid, but also specifically in Lavapiés to truly appreciate the city. A must do with Drica. It takes you places that you would not see in Madrid without this tour. Thank you so much, we loved it. Great art, excellent guide

Drica was a great guide, showing us her favorite art pieces, giving a bit of historic and local context and recommending good adresses. It was a great way to discover the district of lavapies with a more local view, and enjoy some typical vermut in the neighborhood market. It really felt like diving straight into a community and lively district, while understanding the recent gentrification problems and changes it is facing. Wow…Drica was welcoming, accommodating, and someone that really was genuine about showing us Madrid’s rich and thriving culture. I think we walked about 3-4 miles with her and at every corner she had something historic to mention from streets to fountains to building structure. Drica was a fantastic guide of the Prado! She really made the paintings come alive. She showed us personal favorites and I appreciated her explanations as to why they move her. She had a great attitude and we learned a ton. To top it off, we asked her for restaurant suggestions and she made us a reservation for a place that was close by that was perfect for us. We arrived in Madrid in the morning and met Drica that afternoon for an 1 1/2 hour tour of the older part of the city that started and ended at the Opera House. Drica was a wealth of knowledge and enthusiastic about the architecture, history, and the past and present culture of Madrid. The next morning we met Drica at The Prado for a two hour tour. Knowing we couldn’t see all, or even most of the museum, Drica did an excellent job of knowing which paintings to highlight (and she spoke about each and asked questions that would help us discover the nuances specific to a certain painting and to art in general). She was also quite knowledgeable knowing how to use shortcuts to get from one area of the museum to the next. She managed to steer us clear from the big grounds on a busy Sunday afternoon. She made some great recommendations of places to eat and even helped us make a reservation. We would definitely use Drica’s services if ever we make it back to Madrid. After we meet in time Drica made the tour to a great experience. Already on the way to the Prado she explained us a lot of things. The entrance in the Prado went very quick with the pre buyed ticket from Drica🤩🤩🤩. Drica hosted me for the tapas tour and was just wonderful! She made this experience memorable by sharing extensive knowledge of each location, the architecture of the area, and sharing her personal favs! Her knowledge allowed us to adjust when we ran into a few closures. Drica was quick on her feet and had alternative suggestions ready to go. My wife and I went on the food tour with Drica on Tuesday October 19th. Drica is super! From the minute we met her, we both felt very at ease and relaxed. It felt like meeting up with an old friend that you haven’t seen in a while. She took us to some amazing places to eat. The settings of the locations were awesome and all of the food was immense. There wasn’t a single dish that I didn’t enjoy. Drica was full of information about the area, the history of buildings around us, explaining how the people of Madrid live and how to get the most out of our holiday. She was so easy going and relaxed about everything that it felt like a really chilled out afternoon cruising around the eateries of Madrid with a good friend. At the end, she gave us some great recommendations of things to do while in Madrid which were really cool. Even after we had parted ways she helped out when I asked for recommendations of places to eat in our Neighbourhood. Drica gave us 3 superb recommendations and 1 of them was my favourite meal on our week in Madrid. From a customer service point of view, Drica is fantastic. My wife and I both do walking food tours on all of our city breaks and this one is up there as one of my favourites. On arriving in Madrid with my family our first experience was the Veggie Food Tour with Drica. She did a fantastic job explaining the history of each place we went to while introducing us to Spanish delicacies like Paella, tortillas and croquettes ending with churros dipped in chocolate! I highly recommend the 2 hour private tour that is part of withlocals.com. Drica was my tour guide and did a fantastic job. I left it up to her what we would see…we not only saw the highlights but also other favorites. The in-depth historical stories that went with each painting was amazing. She was fun, chose very interesting places and our experience was truly memorable.
