Thien is such an amazing and kind woman. She taught me the basic techniques of making jewelry and we made an entire set; earrings, bracelet and necklaces. There were so many beads, shells and stones to choose from so you can truly make a jewelry set that fits your personality. Free water and fruit was included and Thien also told many interesting stories. Maybe doing a jewelry course on a trip is unconventional, but it surely was extraordinary 🩷Amazing!!

WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! My kids (ages 10 and 12) and I really enjoyed this jewelry making experience and Thien as our host. We loved all of our interactions with Thien as she was very laid back, funny and super quirky! The experience was well run from start to finish and Thien did a great job of teaching us all the basics of jewelry making. She was also really good with the kids and helped us problem solve anything that came up quickly. She was patient with us even though we were late and at times were a bit indecisive. Seriously one of the best experiences I’ve ever been on! The icing on the cake was that kids 10 and under are free which made this experience the absolute best value. We will cherish our personalized self made jewelry and the beautiful memories that were created for years to come. Loved Every Minute of This Experience!

I had a fantastic morning with Thien yesterday. From the moment she met me I was made to feel very welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. Thien was super organised and taught me everything there is to know about the tools and items needed to make your own jewellery. She even gave me tips on where to find items locally and online. I was able to make a beaded necklace with matching bracelet and earrings, another beaded bracelet and two necklaces. The range of beads, clasps and threads was great. I thoroughly enjoyed Thien’s hospitality, amazing knowledge and skill, and her wonderful personality. I can thoroughly recommend this class. Thien was awesome! We had so much fun on our day tour! So much to see and with little overcrowding. We have for the most part a private experices...minus the big tourist group at the coconut and fruit snack stop...but sometimes it can't be helped. Regardless, we very much enjoyed our tour. We had a wonderful tour of Ho Chi Minh City with Thien, who was an exceptional guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly adaptable. Thien knows a lot about Vietnam and the Mekong Delta. She knows all the people there and has very good relationship. She also knows what to do if there are other tourists - so you won’t see many of them. The most impressive stop for us was with with the rice paper ladies. Though it was hot, the only heat came from the Saigon Family Tour. With a perfect mix of fun and gratification, the Saigon Tour was the apple of my eye. My family and I really enjoyed both our tours with Thien. On day 1, we had a custom tour, with District 1 highlights and then a tour in a very local neighborhood. Highlight of day 1 was the little coffee shop that has been around for 87 years! On day 2 we went to the tunnels and that's where Thien really shines. She knows and apparently is best friends with just about everyone and can get the best spots away from all the other tourists. Listening to her family stories is a delight as they experienced war from both perspectives (her mom's side worked for the Americans and her dad was Vietcong). Can't get any more personal than that! Transport to the tunnels can take a couple of hours and we had a very comfortable car, extremely safe driver and very very cold A/C which is paramount, given the heat and humidity in Saigon. We had the best day with Thien walking around Ho Chi Minh City! She was so much fun and full of interesting stories about the city, taking us to the highlights and a few hidden treasures. We ended the tour by going to the oldest coffee shop in the city and had the privilege of talking to the sisters who own the shop, who showed us how to make the ca phe sua da in a clay pot. An absolute dream! If you’re looking for a hilarious and knowledgeable tour guide, we cannot recommend Thien enough!Thien is the best!

We had an amazing time on our private Mekong Delta day tour with Thien! She reached out beforehand with a clear, flexible itinerary, making everything super easy from even before we were picked up in a comfortable transport. She took us to a unique café with coffee served in the coolest way, and we loved visiting a brick factory to learn about local life. Lunch at a local restaurant with delicious fish was spot-on, followed by an incredible sampan boat ride through peaceful coconut groves. We had an entertaining tour full of information. We took the bus to Chinatown together and visited a few touristy places, but also very quiet spots without many tourists. Thien was able to answer all our questions and had additional stories to tell on many topics. Her perfect English and clear pronunciation were great, so we were able to understand everything easily. Although we met friends of hers, we weren't asked to buy anything or give a tip anywhere. Her cheerful manner also made the tour a great experience for the children. We give our full recommendation. Thien took our young family of four on a walking and ‘grab’ tour through the main sites in Saigon as well as through the winding, colourful alleys and backstreets of the more authentic parts of Saigon. She had great local knowledge and insight on the city and Vietnam. The best part of the trip was definitely all the winding, chaotic and immensely interesting back streets. Thien was so knowledgeable about history and knows all the local people. She really gave great local insights. Even though it was a photo tour she also gave us a bit of a veg food tour! This was a great tour for markets and everyday life photos. What an unforgettable day! Thien curated an incredibly engaging and authentic tour of the Mekong river, away from tourist traps and crowds and deep into local villages, experiences and culture. We saw bricks being baked, cooked rice paper pancakes, helped weave a mat, tried snake wine and at every step felt like we were making a genuine connection with the river and its people. In many of these instances we were the only "group" there helping make the experience feel deeply personal. Throughout, Thien - and her perfect English - provided us with real and unvarnished commentary on the history of and life in VietNam. She is funny, warm and a very dedicated host who takes immense pride in her work and helping the local community through her tours. We could not recommend this day trip more. We were on a cruise ship and arrived at the port 90mins away. We arranged a driver however Thien now has this driver contact and I would highly recommend her choice. She took us on a tour of the coffee shop, local markets, eating our way through as we went. There was something for everyone and it was amazingly peaceful and authentic. Thien was considerate yet informative. We were with my 6 and 1 year old children and she catered to their needs so well. We left thinking we could do that same tour again or book another one with her! She is honestly worth every cent, and we are so so glad we had her guiding us. If time is short or you want a real life experience in Vietnam then please book Thien. I recommend her 10000% to everyone. Especially cruisers and short holidays in Ho Chi Minh. Thien was easy to connect with as soon as we hired her on with locals. She began messaging us and answering any questions we had regarding our travels in Vietnam. She met us at the airport, took us to our hotel and even made a stop at a local laundry to drop off our clothes. We had a city tour the first day of a Taoist temple, post office, book street and to a non tourist part of the city for the best pho. Before getting back to the hotel we made a stop for ban mi at a street food stand. The next day we went to the area called the US apartments , walked through the bustling markets where she helped us make some purchases and took us to a street side coffee shop recently reviewed in the New York Times where she knows the owner who gave us a private demonstration of her coffee making process. She arranged an excursion to the Mekong delta where we rode on a private boat through the delta to a coconut workshop for tea, fruit snack and a private musical performance and coconut candy tasting. Then on to a lovely open air restaurant right on the river for a lovely lunch. Thien arranged the day to locations where we were the only tourists. Then we continued on a rowboat to learn how to make rice paper wrappers. Next on to the tuk tuk to the home of an old woman who weaves fiber rugs where we were able to try weaving. The little children in the village came running to Thien for hugs and wanted to meet us . Our third day was to the cu chi tunnels. Thien has access to a non-tourist area. We saw the simulated village and how the people lived before the French and American soldiers came. I did not see any other tourists in the area. Then on to the tunnels . Again, Thien has access to tunnels where there are no other people. Just Thien and I and sometimes a park ranger guide through the tunnels. After a long drive back to the hotel Thien suggested a delicious restaurant near the hotel for our last night in Vietnam. Be sure to hire Thien. She is a smart woman with very strong opinions on life in current day Ho Chi Minh City. Our 3 days with thien
