Eleni has a depth of knowledge about the city from her familial roots in Athens and her deep studies and research as an archaeologist. We learned about so much more than food. Speaking of, the food tour took us to over 5 places where we must have tried over 10 dishes and sweet treats. Her energy is very calming and she knows all the best spots for each dish. You can find almost any dish in any of the Greek restaurants and bakeries, but Eleni knew where to find the long-standing locals joints and led us through several beautiful neighborhoods. Voula was absolutely wonderful! She took us to some great locations including the market and a honey shop! We sampled lots of local bites while also learning some very interesting history. She was kind and extremely knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions and provided us a very personalized introduction to all that Athens has to offer. We did the local food tour with Eleni. She made sure to ask us before what are thing we would like try from the local food. She took us to the local market and was patient with us while we were buying some products she would also recommend what to take what to not. Eleni spoke excellent English and is very knowledgeable about the history of Athens! She was very accommodating as well as she asked us if we have any allergies and whether we prefer savoury or sweet food. A suggestion for next time, perhaps, would be to try different food from different merchants as we tasted 3 things from the same place. So maybe it could have been planned slightly better. Having said that, we ate well and in abundance. It was certainly a pleasure getting to know her and well worth the price. Good food and good guide!

After we met Tatialena, we knew for sure, this was going to be a good tour! It felt like spending a few hours with a really fun friend. She is so knowledgeable, shared her insights about Athens as a local, and brought us to wonderful Greek tastings! Told her stories with some acting, LOVED it! Yorgos was perfectly on time at the meeting point. He asked us about our preferences, foodwise and showed us some excellent places to eat around the marketplace as well as in the outskirts of the Psirri area and a little away from the beaten tracks where the locals dined. We had several tastings on the tour and an interesting conversation about the Greek way of living and family structures as well as some talk about the old bulidings in Athens. I had an incredible experience with Ioannis on an off-the-beaten-path tour of Athens. From the very beginning, he really listened to what I was interested in and tailored the tour to match. He took us through local neighborhoods that combined street art, culture, and history in such a thoughtful way. One of the highlights was when he showed us some hard-to-find ancient frescoes tucked away in an area I would have walked right past if I were on my own. We truly can't begin to fully express how wonderful Voula was on our food tour! From the minute we met her, she made us feel like family. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable about Greek foods, she also shared with us historical and cultural information. She paced the tour perfectly, and we were able to try so many delicious foods.
