Thank you Gabor for a highly informative and candid two-hour food tour in Budapest's Central Market Hall. We enjoyed hearing about the area's rich culinary culture, history and of course, its love affair with paprika! We sampled a variety of sweet and savoury local foods and enjoyed each bite. I especially loved Marika and her pickles, and the grilled sausage was excellent. We had some of our leftover chimney cake with coffee this morning. Tiberiu war uns von Beginn an sehr sympathisch. Er hat uns an den einzelnen Stationen etwas zur Stadt und zu den Gerichten erklärt. Die Tour dauert 2 Stunden. Wir hätten uns noch mindestens eine Station mehr gewünscht. Dazu blieb aber leider kein Zeit mehr.Interessante Foodtour durch Budapest

Tibi was a delightful guide around central Budapest. He is very knowledgeable about the history and cuisine of Hungary. He took us to two lovely cafes where the ambience was as delicious as the food. We also enjoyed street food as we walked through the city. At the end of the tour he escorted us to the Ruins Bars and recommended restaurants for dinner. Met with Zsofia after a long drive from Prague to Budapest. She helped find us a bank for an ATM to void fees before getting food. She took us to some great places and helped me with my Hungarian. We also had some drinks. At one place I like my wine and her wine, so I bought a bottle of each. At one point we called our hungarian friend in the states that is meeting us and had Zsofia talked to her in Hungarian. I could not remember the name of the ruin bar I had found, but our friend did. Zsofia knew it and liked it. We will go there when our friend arrives in Budapest. Zsofia was very friendly and was always looking out for us. She had no issue talking about herself and her experiences. We had a great time and highly recommend Zsofia.Zsofia is the best

We booked Emoke for a 5-hour tour of Budapest. It was our last day of a two week trip through Eastern Europe, so 5 hours might have been a bit too aggressive. Nonetheless, we hung in there with Emmy and were rewarded with an incredible amount of information, presented at a pace that allowed us to absorb it all. We had a prior excursion provided by our cruise company. We asked Emmy to plan our time together without repeating our previous itinerary. She did a great job, showing us some interesting parts of Budapest that helped us understand Hungary's complex and long history. We also appreciated that she didn't just leave us in the middle of a foreign city, but rather took us back to our hotel via the Metro and tram. Thanks for a great day, Emoke.Great history lesson

Andras took us on an interesting tour that showed contrasts of the old and newer more popular parts of Budapest. He is so knowledgeable and really fitted the experience around what our interests were. We loved it and learned lots about the country and its people. Budapest is busy with traffic but we felt safe following Andras along the roads and cycle paths. We’re all in our fifties and haven’t cycled for years but it’s made us keen to start cycling again! Gabor took my mom, sister, and I from Heroes Square all the way past St. Stephen's, the Opera, and Parliament and across the river to Buda and the Castle District. He taught us about Hungarian history - pointed out architectural details - patiently answered our questions - treated us to coffee and a snack. He tailored the tour to our requests. When we failed to show up on time for our tour, Nick called to find out where we were. I had the time wrong and we discussed options to meet up and make the most of our tour. He made sure we saw the most important places to us and yet didn’t make us feel rushed or like we missed anything, Nick was very knowledgeable, but also told us stories that we will remember instead of just dates and facts!
