Beata was a great guide who taught us a lot about Hungarian food (since it was a food tour.) She found us easily and made sure we didn’t get too hot in the above normal temperatures. She also shared her love of Budapest and her life with us, which was wonderful. Her English was great and very understandable. Thank you Gabor for a highly informative and candid two-hour food tour in Budapest's Central Market Hall. We enjoyed hearing about the area's rich culinary culture, history and of course, its love affair with paprika! We sampled a variety of sweet and savoury local foods and enjoyed each bite. I especially loved Marika and her pickles, and the grilled sausage was excellent. We had some of our leftover chimney cake with coffee this morning. Tiberiu war uns von Beginn an sehr sympathisch. Er hat uns an den einzelnen Stationen etwas zur Stadt und zu den Gerichten erklärt. Die Tour dauert 2 Stunden. Wir hätten uns noch mindestens eine Station mehr gewünscht. Dazu blieb aber leider kein Zeit mehr.Interessante Foodtour durch Budapest

Tibi was a delightful guide around central Budapest. He is very knowledgeable about the history and cuisine of Hungary. He took us to two lovely cafes where the ambience was as delicious as the food. We also enjoyed street food as we walked through the city. At the end of the tour he escorted us to the Ruins Bars and recommended restaurants for dinner. Met with Zsofia after a long drive from Prague to Budapest. She helped find us a bank for an ATM to void fees before getting food. She took us to some great places and helped me with my Hungarian. We also had some drinks. At one place I like my wine and her wine, so I bought a bottle of each. At one point we called our hungarian friend in the states that is meeting us and had Zsofia talked to her in Hungarian. I could not remember the name of the ruin bar I had found, but our friend did. Zsofia knew it and liked it. We will go there when our friend arrives in Budapest. Zsofia was very friendly and was always looking out for us. She had no issue talking about herself and her experiences. We had a great time and highly recommend Zsofia.Zsofia is the best

We arrived in Budapest without knowing more than the basic information about it. We only had two days in Budapest and we decided to make the most of our tour so we hired Andras for 5 hours which wound up being closer to 5 1/2 hours. He loved every minute. Andras is truly a local. He was born and raised in Budapest. He is very knowledgeable, energetic and friendly. He was able to read us pretty well and took us to all the interesting places and then some. We had a 3-hour walk with Gabor around Budapest and it was amazing. He asked us questions when he first met us to know what we preferred to hear about and throughout the walking tour he would modify his talk based on what we knew and what we still had to learn. Our group of 4 booked a 5 hour tour with Nick We had an absolutely great experience. Nick did a wonderful job at showcasing his home town and having an English born father, Nick's English is very fluent. We mat on the Buda side, it was a warm day and we walked at a comfortable pace making two stops on our journey. We had 2 day tours with Emoke for 4 hours each day to tour around the city of Budapest. We started at the Heroes Square where Emoke introduced the 14 kings and warriors with the sculptures enacted there. She gave us a great introduction of history to the rest of the tour. We enjoyed the two day tour with her. She was patient, and clearly knowledgeable about the ancient past of Hungary, Buda and Pest and also communist time and the period it was liberated. We had a five hour tour with Nick, starting in the Castle district in Buda, finishing in Heroes Square on the Pest side. Nick was very personable, spoke perfect English and provided exactly what we hoped to achieve from the tour.
