We had an incredible tour with Alessandra with my family. Her bubbly personality and exciting energy was infectious and set the scene for a great tour! We visited some great restaurants and the food and the history behind it was amazing. Only disappointment was it was too short and we would have loved to spend further time! Regina is lovely but it was not what we expected for a 'culinary experience'. Unfortunately we had to ask was there going to be any food at the end of the two hours. For 153euros a walk around the local area doesn't seem like good value. We expected to be brought into local bistros/bars to sample port etc. Regina is very nice person but it wasn't the culinary experience we expected or good value unfortunately.Not culinary unfortunately

Onze host Regina was uiterst vriendelijk. Helaas was haar Engels niet voldoende om ons te informeren over de stad Faro. We waren in de markthal gestart en daar wezen ze wat fruit aan en was vis. Maar ja, dat kennen we als Nederlandse ook. Tevens was er een 2e persoon bij voor Social media en foto’s. Dit was beter geweest om voorafgaand te verzoeken en niet aan de start van de tour. Dus weinig uitleg, ook niet bij het 1e restaurant. Regina en Lucas gingen weg en waren na een half uur weer terug Dit verwacht je niet van een culinaire tour. Van daaruit via de haven weer naar het centrum terug waar we bij een koffiezaakje gingen zitten. Regina en Lucas namen afscheid van ons en gelukkig maakte de serveerster het helemaal goed qua uitleg. Die was erg professioneel. Enigszins teleurstellend

Our tour started in the rain as we met up with our guide Thelma who sheltered us with an umbrella into the market, we were treated to new and unusual but tasty treats at several stalls, Thelma was very knowledgeable in explaining everything. We had a lovely lunch and the sun came out in time for our walking tour. It was terrific, Thelma was so well versed in the history and was also so much fun. We stopped in bakeries and cafes. At the conclusion of our tour Thelma even called our driver to assure we were picked up. We would highly recommend Thelma for your tour and tasting in Faro. Delightful!

Our party of 4 was delighted with the experience that Alessandra provided. From arranging for an Uber to pick us up after we got lost trying to find the meeting spot, to making sure our individual preferences were honored at the different restaurants, she was charming, knowledgeable and accommodating. During a short trip to Faro we spent a lovely afternoon in the company of Telma learning about the history, culture and food from the area. We enjoyed loads of different dishes, which is definitely a positive, and there was enough for a picnic lunch the following day. Telma was entertaining and interesting and very kindly supplied us with restaurant recommendations for the rest of our trip. Unfortunately the weather was poor. Monica’s knowledge was ok. It lacked depth in history of Faro, the buildings and Portugal in general. Sadly Monica did not know most of the buildings were closed so a lot of locked doors and some aimless wandering. We had to wait for Monica to arrive and we cut the tour short after 1hour 45 minutes because there seemed no more to do. For future tours please know what is possible to do on that given day. More knowledge & planning would be better

We reached out to Telma to see if she could help us navigate our way through the administrative maze at the Finacas department in Faro. While we could have possibly done this ourselves, we wanted a fluent Portuguese local to assist us to insure it went a as smooth as possible. She’s such an enthusiastic and engaging person that when it was finally our turn at the window the administrative person that worked with us was so helpful that it only took us 10 minutes to straighten everything out. We had been dreading taking care of this task but Telma made it painless. If you’re looking for a tour I’m sure she would be fantastic, but if you’re looking for someone to help you navigate the maze that is the Portuguese bureaucracy don’t waste another minute, reach out to Telma and let her guide you and teach you. Victória was very nice and tried very hard to be a good guide. She had great enthusiasm and was very friendly. My only issue however with Victória was her knowledge of Faro was less than inspiring. Many questions she answered with " I'm not sure " or " I don't know ". She did not know the population of Faro which I think is a pretty basic question ... Again she was very nice and friendly and enthusiastic but just not very knowledgeable. Faro Tour

I am visiting a friend from Scotland who now lives in Portugal. It was great to have a tour just the two of us it was very much appreciated that Monica was able to come at very last minute. She was very friendly and was able to tell us all about the history and the buildings which we were interested in. She was also a very good listener as we were walking about and showed us places of interest to visit in future. My friend has Australian visitors this summer and she would consider this tour with them as it was so professional and intimate. We booked this tour with Monica for our first evening in Faro. She met us promptly at the designated meeting point and started by asking what sort of tour/food/drink we would like. We said we'd like to find out a bit about the history and the main things to see/do in Faro. She was brilliant! We had some lovely food & drinks, we saw the sunset from a great bar, and she walked us around and showed us some key points of interest. Monica was a great guide. Despite it being Easter she designed a great walk through Faro, educating us to the history and the myths. The walk ended at a local restaurant where we enjoyed tradition tapas and shared plates. When Monica didn’t know the answer to one of our questions (which was very rare) she didn’t try to make up an answer but just said she didn’t know and would have to look it up. Gave this tour as a gift to my parents as a birthday present. Actually, there are two different tours combined into an active morning and a passive afternoon. My parents have their regular places to eat and occasionally try something new. But with a food tour you really eat local food in places where as a tourist you don't know the location or would walk past these eateries. That's why a local guide is so important. The explanation and the stories that are told are also more than worth the money! Telma had suggested at the time of booking to get a birthday cake with candles on it to make this event more special. The staff of the restaurant came to bring this cake while singing. Telma had also promised to FaceTime with me during this event, so that I could congratulate my mother at the right time and see her emotions from this unexpected extra. Here are some tears shed from complete amazement. I owe all this to Telma. A great woman, a great guide, a lady with a fantastic personality.Food with a lovely twist

We booked a ‘personalized’ tour with a tour guide that we chose based on the ratings and then right before the tour we were given a different tour guide. Our ‘new’ guide also changed the meeting spot and wasn’t able to find us sitting right outside the front door - therefore starting the tour 5 minutes late. We paid a ‘Ton’ of money for 10 tastings and 2 private local wineries as well as hidden Jems. For our 10 tastings we literally sat at a restaurant while our tour guide wasted a ton of time ordering different food for us to share and a jug of wine while she talked about her personal life. We then walked o we to a castle (where we paid our own way) and roamed around this castle. That was it! That’s all we got for €430 euro. Save yourself and do your own research. Much more exciting and much less expensive. This company is a scam.
