Mara was fantastic. We booked our tour with her only 24 hours before it started. When we met her, we sat down, with a glass of wine of course, and she quickly devised a food, wine, history tour. She took us to real local places with wonderful food and people. Along the way she showed us interesting things that most tourists will never see. Do not miss this tasting tour with Maria! My husband and I had such an incredible time and tasted the most amazing foods. Maria is such a warm, beautiful, and friendly person and her love for Florence and it’s food shines through in every step of the tour. We visited an authentic sandwich shop, had delicious espresso and gelato, and tasted other local specialties. We even visited a beautiful local market and sampled some of the freshest most gorgeous produce I have ever seen, with a side of Prosecco of course! My husband and I had the best time on this tour! Ana was incredibly knowledgeable about the city and showed us some spots we definitely would not have found on our own. While it was very hot and the timing of our tour was not ideal, as we were visiting in August and a lot of places were closed for the summer vacation, Ana filled the time seamlessly and gave us plenty of different options, keeping us in the shade whenever possible and getting us cold and refreshing drinks to fend off the heat. We learned a ton about the city, ate some of the most delicious and authentic food either of us had ever tasted, drank delicious wines, and finished off the tour with refreshing gelato. Ultimately, we don’t feel as though we missed out on anything due to closures and the heat was well worth it for the experience Ana delivered! Highly recommend! Ana was the best!

Ana is lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting her. She was warm, friendly and helpful, she even offered to help if we had any queries during the rest of our stay. It was an expensive activity for what you get. The beignets, meats, cheese, bread, wines, biscuits and gelato were delicious, however the pizza was terrible. Maria truly made our Florentine experience the most special we could’ve asked for. My fiancée and I got engaged the day before our tour, but it was being able to take part in local cuisine, and exploring the parts of Florence we would’ve otherwise overlooked that made us feel that we were able to spend our time here as well as we could. Maria takes the time to make sure we got the best of each spot, learn about the daily culture as well as the history, and even gave us the space to enjoy the different locations privately (even pouring us wine when our glasses were getting empty). Even on a 100F degree day, she stood in line for the best gelato for us while we fanned ourselves in the shade. She couldn’t have been kinder, and the other locals knew her as well, frequently chatting her up like a close friend. If you book with Maria, she will listen to your preferences (go get the Lampredotto & Tripe, you’re missing out if not), order for you, and make sure you’re taken care of.
