Deze food tour met Nico was de allerbeste keuze voor onze eerste dag in Rome. Het was ontzettend leuk om met ons eigen groepje van 5 personen te worden rondgeleid. Van Trastevere naar Piazza Navona en onderweg mooie plekken, heerlijk eten en ontzettend leuke uitleg en verhalen van Nico. Wij vonden allemaal (leeftijden 19-54) Nico heel sympathiek, heel prettig en oprecht geïnteresseerd. Hij heeft veel kennis en kon al onze vragen beantwoorden. Paula had prepared for our culinary tour very well; she took us to interesting and high quality places. She packed a lot into our two hours: different kinds of food and drinks and we moved swiftly between places. She also included a lot of interesting cultural and especially architectural detail. She had clearly planned our two hours carefully in response to our requests and interests. She was a pleasure to be with and gave us a very enjoyable and useful experience. For the price/value rating, I am aware that the platform adds a very large percentage to the fee which the guide receives, hence the evening is quite expensive. My family of 5 joined Valentina on a recent trip to Italy and experienced the Rome: Culinary Kickstart tour. For two hours, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Valentina who is kind, personal, thoughtful and extremely knowledgeable. She is a wealth of information, having grown up in Italy and answered all our questions with depth and detail. She took us to some amazing local stores instead of pricier markets (which we quite busy and obviously popular!). We had a lovely evening with Simone on the Kickstart Culinary tour. It was lovely to find some family run eateries and sample their delicious food. We had to make changes to our tour due to plane timetable changes and Simone was very accommodating. He was very engaging with our group and the local vendors. Our tour with Gabriele was more than an introduction to some of the best and most unique food vendors in the Piazza Navona area, it was a history lesson covering fascinating facts about the neighborhoods, the culture and the Roman people who have lived there over the centuries. Gabriele is a life long Roman with a deep love and vast knowledge of the history of his hometown. His affable nature brought out memories of our own hometowns and cultural quirks from our days in Brooklyn and Atlanta. We not only had a great tour but made a new friend in the city that we love! I don’t know, maybe I was hoping for a Stanley-Tucci-type tour, with some sit down and some choices. The guide was great and friendly, but he took us to some “street” places, that were mostly barren of other guests. We started out with a child-sized portion of lasagna that was okay. Then a fried item with rice inside that was also okay. The highlight was a mom and pop deli with great tastes, but I had to specifically ask for something sharp and not just plain. I offered to pay extra for some blue cheese (he must get a lot of boring clients, because he seemed surprised we wanted some different tastes). We had some “street pizza”, which again was just a pizza shop with no customers and was… okay. We had so-so gelato from a friend’s store and I had a shot of grappo, which was good. I would think he would ask us ahead of time for our likes and dislikes, and we were never offered anything to drink. Basically, we got about 25€-worth of food. I liked the idea of helping locals, and we tipped him well since he was very kind and engaging, but I wouldn't reserve this tour again.Great Guide, but Ask Questions

Wat een ervaring was dit! De mooiste producten geproefd met de duidelijke uitleg van Claudio erbij. Claudio was heel relaxt en flexibel, dit zorgde bij ons ook voor rust na een paar dagen vooral het drukke Rome bezocht te hebben met twee kinderen (12 en 8) . Matteo was an excellent Food Tour Guide. By far, it was our best day of eating. The food was top notch and we walked away full! Our family would agree that we had the best pizza, tiramisu, granita, gelato, cannoli, and espresso of our entire trip with Matteo. Massimo was amazing. We were in Rome on one of the busiest days ever due to an international bike race. He had to change our initial stops due to road closures & crowds. He helped us even navigate the train station & metro which were packed with people. My husband had injured his leg during our trip so extended walking became an issue. Massimo quickly adjusted & found closer alternatives for us to try. He was truly amazing, personable & knowledgeable& never let the constant need for adjustment in our tasting tour Due to the closures of some of the places he intended to stop due to the event or my husband’s lessened mobility Impact his wonderfully attitude. We had just landed and booked Maurizio last minute, and boy did he save the day. We were tired and hungry and couldn’t have had made a better decision to reach out to him. We met in Trastavere, had some delicious food from beautiful local and affordable businesses and Maurizio is clearly loved by the neighborhood. He has so much positive energy, a great sense of humor, my mother and I felt so comfortable and at home with a new friend. We loved everything we ate, and had trouble finishing our food because of the generous quantities. We appreciate the evening with him, and found some lovely places to go back to on our own time. The time we booked for was about 6 pm on a Friday night, I would recommend booking an earlier time to catch most of the businesses still open, we were lucky that Marie at Gelatario Del Viale was still there, because let me tell you, the rose petal gelato was exactly what we needed between all of the tastings.
