My niece and I had the best day on this tour with Barbara and Chris. We were introduced to local food artisans who shared the passion of their crafts with us. They taught us how to buy the bread, the proper way to sample olive oils, showed us how hazelnuts are grown and gathered, immersed us in the making of cheese, the delights of granita, and fed us with the most amazing foods and wines. Chris and Barbara are warm and truly seemed to enjoy showing us the real side of their beloved homelands.This is the real Sicily!

Chris & Barbara gave me my favorite day in Sicily by far! They were so sweet and fun to be with for the day, they are so knowledgeable about the area and passionate about the area they grew up in. The entire experience was excellent. Chris and Barbara are true professionals and their love of Sicily shows . From the start, they communicated promptly and clearly . The tour was one of our favorite days of our vacation. It was not only interesting but fun! All of the stops of the day were excellent. The farms , vineyard granita , bakery are all hidden gems . We (two couples) had an amazing time with Chris and Barbara on this tour. They promptly picked us up at our airbnb in Taormina and then we set off for an entire day of adventures together. We did so many things- bakery, dairy farm to taste cheese, traditional eastern Sicilian breakfast of granita and brioche, olive farm and tasting, lunch at a winery. We visited beautiful towns and learned interesting things about Sicily. Chris and Barbara were wonderful hosts and would highly recommend this tour. Chris and Barbara are a delightful couple and excellent hosts on this tour. They are born and bred in small towns near Etna and are proud to share their heritage. We had a fantastic day with them on the tour and we were very pleased to meet real people making local products: Rosario the Hazelnut producer, Cinzia(?) making her daily batches of cheese, Salvatore with his olive oil and his encyclopedic knowledge of culinary plants, trees, vines and aromatics. At lunch we had a great selection of Sicilian meats, cheeses and dishes with local wine. The whole tour took place within sight of the smoking summit of mother Etna.A lovely food experience and a great day out

My family and I had a great time touring with Maria. She was flexible in scheduling an early start ( critical with the heat ! ) Maria was able to provide relevant context to Catania’s historical highlights as we walked the streets and were able to see first hand, buildings, ruins, churches and castles. The addition of the culinary element to the Catania experience was great and was enjoyable to all in our party - vegetarians included. Highly recommended!Great way to gain an intro to Catania

Maria led us on a tour of Mt. Etna. She was knowledgeable about the history, geology and botany of the area. We all learned something new about Sicily and about volacanos. Maria guided in French beautifully and her English is also excellent. It was a windy day, but we felt confident in Maria’s expertise and judgement which prioritized our safety. Our family of 3 (including a child, age 6) thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with Maria Grazia in Catania! She was very friendly and was extremely knowledgable about about Sicilian/Catanian history and about all the local food and drinks! She also did a great job adapting our private tour, both for our personal travel parameters AND due to some establishment closures due to our tour being on a national holiday :) Her food tour was absolutely fantastic.
