Victoria is very professional and friendly, telling us many stories along with interesting facts along the way. We tasted lovely local food and drink and all the communication when arranging was perfect. Victoria also gave us her WhatsApp and we could message her for recommendations afterwards too - all her recommendations were great and she helped us with an itinerary for the next day too. We had an interesting time with Victoria yesterday. We had booked a walking food tour of Vallatta as we thought that would offer a different experience to just a walking tour.
We were not disappointed! It was a marvellous morning discovering the food history of the capital. I would really recommend Victoria ( her knowledge was amazing!) and this tour. Donβt have breakfast. You are going to be nibbling all morning!

We were a group of 11 and we can't recommend Victoria highly enough. She was flexible and accommodating to the needs and expectations of our group.
Her outgoing personality made it easy for us to connect with her immediately.
She is very knowledgeable about Malta's history and is passionate about Malta.
The food tour, where we sampled local cuisine in small shops frequented by locals, was great.

We spent an amazing afternoon with Victoria guiding us through the historical core. She is very knowledgable about Malta, with the right mix of history and legend to help everything make sense. She knows so much history about all the buildings! We had asked her to show us a few specific things (including local pastries), which she did and showed us much more. Victoria is an extremely nice lady with a lot of knowledge about Valetta. She gave a good overview, jumping from one topic to the other, which made it kind of interesting. Unfortunately, it was extremely hot, so it was not that much fun to walk around. But that was not Victorias fault. She also gave us a few helpful tips for restaurants to visit and even walked us to our first reservation. Really nice. Crazy little walk

Victoria was a polite and informative guide. We had an easy pace around the whole of Valletta with Victoria explaining the history of the island and pointing out the history of significant buildings from the Knights Templar to the British.Victoria recommended we go back in our own time to see at leisure a number of buildings, eg Cathedral and Hospital or underground tunnels.

Vicky met us in Valetta and showed us aroud the not so touristy spots which we enjoyed greatly. Lots of history and little details made for a wonderful walk. The only thing to improve would perhaps be to indeed guide for the full 3 hours. She had to return to her family but left us with a great recommendation for a lunch!A lovely walk!

Bruna accommodated a later time for me and I was so grateful and she advised that her representative Deborah will so the tour. I arrived early and could not see a guide however it ended up that Deborah was there the whole time and on her phone and not looking for me at all until I approached her. Deborah was friendly and shared interesting facts of fascinating Valletta. However she spent a lot of time on her phone and did not dedicate her time to the tour.i also struggled to understand her at times.

The whole idea of "withlocal" is not just to go around a few random places that happen to be open and eat some stuff. It is much more about "local" experience, learning about history, culture, etc.
To that extent:
1. Our guide was someone who moved to Malta only 2 months ago (to learn English). She had less local knowledge than we do. Sho did not spoke Maltese and could barely speak English. This was absolutely not the "local" experi nce.
2. 2 of the 4 places on her list were closed, she just tried to drag us to some other random restaurants. We actually gave up and cut our tour short.
3. We got no information on the towns history, architecture, culture, etc. We just walked from one place to another.
4. We did food tours in many different countries and cities. We actually even had a food tour with your company in Naples last December. And it was always someone local, who can tell stories, share knowledge... Our today's tour in Valletta was by far the worst experience we've ever had.Really bad

Thalyta was warm and friendly, very knowledgeable, and brought us to some really amazing places. Everything we ate (from local drinks, sandwiches, and desserts) was fantastic and well rounded. We had a delicious salad with local cheese and a tomato and local meat pasta, as well as a variety of sweet desserts and pastries. We also got to try some of the local drinks and alcohol that we wouldnβt think to try! She curates the tour to fit your needs and preferences, and we enjoyed everything we ate! While walking to the different restaurants she highlights interesting facts and monuments throughout Valleta, and we saw things that we would not have noticed if she didnβt show us. All in all it was worth every penny and more, and we would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thalyta was an absolute delight and the experience was magical. We took a tour of Valletta with Vicky. I could say this made all the difference. She is polite, experienced, patient (I stopped many times to take photos). She showed us and explained all the highlights of the city. She knows the history and details of monuments, churches and even the best places to eat. Finishing the tour at the Upper Barraka Gardens for the 12noon gun salute seemed the appropriate way to end β with a big bang!
