I do not normally leave reviews but our day to the floating market and more was just wonderful. Polly, our guide, struck the right balance between being informative and letting us experience it for ourselves. Her interactions with market traders helped us gain insights we never would have by ourselves, and her kindness and guidance in other matters was flawless. The driver drove well, smoothly and safely and was very polite. Polly capped off the return journey with an impromptu suggestion based on a story of mine from a previous visit. Araya was very kind. When at the floating market she was sure to find us the best deals on anything we were looking for. She went out of her way to welcome us. I do wish we could have shopped a bit more at railway market as well as be in the action ( like in one of the shops) when the train passed. Overall we felt well cared for and really enjoyed our day!!

Nok came to pick us up from our hotel. She was instantly warm and friendly. She told us a lot of information that was really interesting on our journey to the railway market. She went out of her way to get us a good view of the train at the railway market. It was very very busy but we got some good photos. She asked us if we would prefer a paddle boat at the floating market. We chose a paddle boat and It was really good fun. Nok showed us where to eat lunch and helped us order it. We learnt a lot from Nok about Thai culture. She was also eager to learn from us. She taught us some words in Thai. We taught her some in English. She then went out of her way again by returning a gift I had bought and put in her bag. When she dropped us off I had forgotten about it. She text me to tell me she was going to return it. Chef Hnoi has organized our trip to the train market and boat market with a private driver. She came to pick us up at the hotel on time and has a perfect English and Spanish. At the market she explained to us various types of local fruits and food and made us try them. She showed us places where tourists don’t go, had a private long tail boat to take us to the local floating market far away from the tourist’s places, which was great. We booked the floating market and train tour with Arrty and I cannot recommend both him as a guide enough, or booking a trip through the company enough. The moment we booked he sent us his number and stayed in constant contact. Arrty was so much fun and so knowledgable and made sure that anything we needed was taken care of. Zunächst einmal zu Donald. Er ist ein unglaublich sympathischer, lustiger und weltoffener Mensch mit einer eigenen spannenden Lebensgeschichte. Der Ausflug mit ihm war sehr lehrreich über Thailand und vor allem über Bangok. Als wir die Märkte besucht haben er hat uns viel gezeigt, erklärt und geholfen. Besonders beim verhandeln, dass kann ich nämlich überhaupt nicht - danke dir Donald. We had a great day out with Artty. He knows a great spot for watching the trains at the train market. We enjoyed being led & shown around the non tourist areas of both the train & floating markets. We are so thrilled to have picked Hnoi as our Bangkok guide. We originally booked a tour of both floating and train markets, but added an additional day of touring Bangkok Including Grand Palace, temples, china town, flower market, and Khon theater performance. We are so thankful that we added the extra day! Aside from being friendly and hospitable, Hnoi expressed so much passion and love for everything Thailand. Hnoi knows all the secret tricks such as getting us to the front of the train as it rolled into the train market. Excellent photo/video opportunity . She encouraged us to try some local delicacies, unusual to the USA. We learned so much about the country, culture and religion. It was both fun and enlightening. In addition she is an excellent photographer and captured us in both posed and candid shots throughout the days. We’re so thankful for these photo memories of our time in this wonderful place. Thanks Arnon for a wonderful tour of the floating markets and railway markets (which proved to be our favourite!). We were also surprised to learn about how coconut palm sugar is produced during our tour and to see it in its different stages of production. Arnon was punctual, polite, knowledgeable and easy to converse with because of his English proficiency. Our trip to Maeklong railway market and Damnoen Saduak floating market was our favourite day in Bangkok. We went as a family of 4 with two children aged 8 and 3. Polly contacted me the day before to arrange pick up from our hotel. We went for an earlier pick up as the heat was very strong! From the moment Polly picked us up with Mr driver to the moment they dropped us back the trip went incredibly smoothly. She showed us the markets, bought little treats as we went and showed us around in a way that we would never have been able to do on our own with 2 small children. The private boat at the floating market was lovely and the trip to the coconut sugar farm on the way home was great! At the railway market, Polly knew exactly where we would could stand to get the best view. As an added bonus, she took lots of photos of us along the day and sent them to me the next day! Overall, it was worth every penny and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with Polly again if we revisit Bangkok :) Ami & family Amazing day at the markets!

Sara int arranged a wonderful tour for us to visit the floating market which is around 90 minute drive from Bangkok. She collected us promptly from hotel as pre arranged with an amazing, air conditioned SUV along with a very safe driver. We stopped off at the train market enroute which was very cool to experience and very unique for our teens. We also stopped at a coconut plantation which was interesting to try fresh coconut water and see how they produce various products from the fruit. I would highly recommend Saravint as a tour guide! We had the best day!
